I love everything about these shoes except for the plastic overlays and guides that the shoelaces run through. The overlays kill the top of my baby toes. I do use orthotics in my shoes which take up depth in a shoe, but I never had this problem with my brooks defyance 3,4,5,6, or 7. I am going to try a half size up from my usual shoe size to see if it gives me more depth, but I am sure the shoe will be much too long. Other than the pesky plastic shoelace guide the Transcend is great.

I am an injury prone runner- with either flare ups of plantar fasciitis or knee pain. I used to wear the Brooks Trance before they were discontinued. Since then, I've tried jumping around to several other brands without finding something that felt right.
The Brooks Transcends feel amazing on my feet. It took a few days to get used to the "floating" feeling while wearing them, but now that they are worn in they feel so natural. It also took a few days to get used to the level of arch support for my feet. I had been dealing with platar fasciitis for a few weeks, so the arch support felt like it was massaging my midfoot in a "hurt so good" way. That only lasted a few days though.
I have worn these for tempo runs, speed workout, and long runs, and they have felt comfortable for everything.
I also like that they came out with this black color. The pink were a little loud for my personal style, while the white were a little boring.
Highly recommended.

These are fantastic! I have worn Brooks Glycerin for some time, but will now switch over to the Transcends. I took these out for a run and felt like I was on clouds. They are light and the guide rails help as I supinate when I run. Well done, Brooks.

I bought the Transcend sneaker last week by the advice of my foot doctor. They are so comfortable, and give my left foot with a stress fracture total support, I love them! I am going to Europe in March and this is what he wanted me to wear for walking on cobblestones. I wasn't sure of the Diva Pink, but now love it, and I can't get lost in a crowd in Europe!

Just received my shoes and all I can say is, YES! Brooks definitely got it right with their latest design. First, they are super cute! I absolutely love the diva pink! Very fashionable! But they don't stop there. I tried them on and immediately noticed how comfortable they feel. They really feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I was hesitant to buy them at first because they are labeled a "support" shoe. But honestly they don't feel big and bulky like typical support shoes. I've ran in them and knew they were a keeper! I highly recommend them!

The shoes were too narrow towards front. I felt discomfort on ball of foot. Didn't want to take the chance in trying to break them in then still not being comfortable. I do have difficulty finding a comfortable shoe. I am an under pronator and have problems with my feet and ankle anyway.

I purchased these because Brooks discontinued the Trance. I'm an over pronator and need a supportive shoe. This is not the one for me. It's not as supportive and nowhere near as comfortable as the Trance. Very disappointed.

I am a dedicated Brooks wearer. While the bottom of the shoe is very comfortable, I developed a blister on my toe on my first long run. I spoke with someone at a local runner store who said many wearers are complaining of blisters in the same place. Toe box is too small.

I agree with the other reviewer - these shoes are stiff! I recently tried on the trance in a local store but they did not have my size. Reading that the transcend was replacing the trance, I assumed they'd be as cushy, but alas, they are not. Very stiff and not very well cushioned. The color is awesome, but sadly, these have to go back.

I don't normally write reviews, but with the issues I have had recently, I felt compelled to provide one and I hope that others follow suit and start providing more information.
First, I have extremely high arches and I supinate/under-pronate, meaning I walk on the outer edges of my feet. This is all very important, because this Brooks shoe is perfect if you also experience this with your feet. It's very flexible and works well with my orthotic. I was fitted for the wrong type of shoe last year and the result was a pulled hamstring and 3 fractured metatarsals in my right foot. So now I read every review to determine if there is someone wearing a show who has similar feet.
The Brooks Transcend has been wonderful for me. It's good for my feet, lessened my back issues and my tight calf/hamstring issues.
So, if you under pronate, and need arch support, this is the shoe for you!

I am a nurse and have had problems with plantar faasciitis/achilles tendon pain. Brooks Ariel had been my go-to shoes for comfort and support. I wanted to try something different, so I bought these . I love the support and my feet feel cushioned even though the sole is a lower profile.

Great shoe! I have feet, back, and hip issues and these shoes have kept me pain free while doing Zumba, aerobics, and turbo kick classes. Best shoe I've owned. Keeps me low to ground for less sliding movement. The white sole is a nice pearl color but still gets dirty fast.

I love my shoes. This was the first pair of Brooks shoes that I have tried running in. They are comfortable and have caused me no problems for the month that I have been running in them. They provide great support and cushioning with the added bonus of fun colors.

I have searched and searched for a pair of tennis shoes that are comfortable on my flat foot. These are awesome. They are so comfortable I got two pairs.

Love this running shoe! I will be stocking up. The arch support if perfect if you tend to have a normal to high arch. The impact absorption has been a gift to my knees. I have been running in this pair of Brooks for about 3 months and have no complaints. They feel fantastic, my legs do not feel exceptionally tired nor do my feet ache after running any distance. Well worth the cost if you ask me!

I've worn Brooks for a few decades now because they've given excellent comfort and support. I wore the Trance model prior to this one and even though it's a lot of shoe, just as this new model is, and I'd prefer something that looks smaller or cuter, it's proven to be an excellent performer. I actually prefer the Transcend to the other. It fits like a glove around my foot, as if custom made, offers terrific stability, and great support. I do a lot of walking including hills in San Francisco. I have a high arch and a relatively wide foot. Because of dancing in former years (ballet) and wearing high heels, my feet have taken a pounding and need good padding and support. I've also worn Brooks PureFlow and although I love the way they look (much less shoe) they don't give me the padding I need toward the front of the foot, nor the stability. Before ordering the Trance I tried two different pairs of Asics at around the same price and I returned them. Just not the right perfect fit. When I initially tried on the Trance I thought the size I ordered and always wear (9B) was too small but after opening the laces more to adjust the fit, it was great. Worth every penny.

I normally don't write reviews, but these sneakers deserve all the praise. I have horrible feet. Flat feet, fragile, bunions, etc (thanks mom!). Anyway - I can run for miles in these sneakers and absolutely zero pain anywhere. Bye bye shin splints. They are well worth the price. I feel like I'm running on a cloud. I love them so much, I just spent the money on a black pair. I have the bright pink and get many compliments. They are cute but also the best sneaker for someone that has tried them all! The search is over. After many years, I have found the sneaker! Oh, size up a half size. Thank you Brooks! Please keep these coming.

I loved these shoes. They are pictured as a soft pink which I liked. But the shoes are actually Dayglo Pink & orange. Great for running I am sure, but I really wanted them for a wear everywhere supportive walking shoe. Too bright for me! I re-ordered the blue version which is colorful but not excessively so.

Love these shoes! I have had some struggles with finding the right level of arch support and this shoe nails it! I have improved my run and my PR using this shoe. I have found with other shoes, my feet hurt after a long run - not with these shoes. They are comfortable and kind to my feet, knees and hips. I am ordering a few more pair while I can get them.

These have a narrow forefoot. I have narrowish feet especially in the heel and midfoot but I do need a some room for the forefoot and toes to spread as my foot flexes. These felt too tight on either side of my toes and caused some discomfort after wearing for 15 minutes. I am returning them.

This shoe is not a light racing shoe! It is, however, a plush (but not too soft) support shoe. I wouldn't use these shoes to run fast, but they're great for slower runs & walking. They really keep your foot from moving too much laterally. If you're looking for a support shoe, these would be great! They are huge looking on your foot, so if you're used to a more minimalist style it will take some getting used to.

I am going to disagree with much of what has been said so far. I got these shoes and was skeptical when I first picked them up. I have been a neutral runner for years and love Brooks, but I had recently been getting loads of lower leg pain. I had my gait assessed and learned I needed support, maybe an aging thing. I do have narrow feet so that may be why I do not have problems. I love the cushioning and never have sore feet. Personally I do not find them stiff at all. I do not find them heavy and have to say that running distances in them is great.

I have worn Brooks shoes to walk in (Ariel) for many years but I had to comment on the newest shoe Transcend. Love it...ordered 3/17 and it was here the next day. Wore them on the carpet for about an hour and knew I wouldn't have trouble with the switch to a new model. Wore on a five mile walk this morning and felt compelled to write a review. Shoes are light, offer great support and if they wear better than the last pair of Ariels I will be a fan. The price tag is a little hard to swallow, but worth a try! My last pair of Ariels lasted about 3 months before showing wear - I think at current mileage they should last a minimum of 4 months before requiring replacement. I walk primarily on asphalt and concrete streets and average about 4 - 5 miles daily. Please keep Brooks shoes in your lineup Zappos!

Amazingly comfortable shoe. The arch for arch support is right where it needs to be and doesn't poke me like some other shoes. I also have wide feet, so I had to go a 1/2 size up.
Very attractive for a running shoe!
Only had to return these because my foot is in between 8 1/2 and 9. 8 1/2 was too small in the toe box and 9 my heels slipped out. I normally wear 8 1/2 street shoe.
