I am not a runner but I like athletic shoes for everyday wear because of their combination of support and cushioning. That said, finding an athletic shoe that fits and is comfortable has been a years-long search. Some months ago I found the Ravenna 4 and was happy to find the qualities I had been looking for in a running shoe and was pleased to find that they were even more comfortable as time went on. Then I saw the Ravenna 5 and decided even before I tried them on that I had to have them -- they are so cute and colorful. I have been wearing the Ravenna 5's daily for over two weeks now and they are even more comfortable than the 4's. They are the perfect shoe for my foot, they fit like a glove and needed no breaking in at all. I have a narrow foot and actually did buy the Glycerin which comes in a narrow width but while it fit my right foot perfectly, it pinched the left side of my left foot. So, back they went, and based on my experience with the 4's, I bought the 5's. With both the 4's and the 5's (which come only in a medium width), I took out the insole and put in a flat Spenco insole and my orthotic on top of that. The Spenco tightens up the shoe so that it fits my foot perfectly. The heels of both Ravennas cup my narrow heel just right as well. That's another area that has been a problem for me. I had to dump two pairs of New Balance cross-trainers (both in a narrow width) because the heels were too loose and the support was inadequate for my knees and hips and back. The Ravennas work with my orthotics to help support these areas as well. Great shoe, Brooks! And as always, great customer service from Zappos!

For years I bought Adrenalines but either my feet changed or Adrenalines did. I tried Ravennas and love them! I had to take a two year hiatus from running due to plantar fasciitis. Now I am slowly back to running. Either my feet changed or Brooks did. I Used to get a size 9 but now I need a size 9½. I love these Ravenna shoes. I have narrow heels and need a wide space for my toes (duck feet). These are great and plenty of room for my toes and great arch support! I bought two more pairs for spares!

I crosstrain and need a shoe that supports running, jumping and lateral moves. At 57 years old, my feet have taken a lot of wear and tear through work and working out. These shoes worked for me right out of the box and the knee and hip pain that I sometimes get from too much running has never occurred since I bought these. Highly recommended.

This is my second pair of this model and is one of the few shoes that has a wide enough and high enough toe box for my feet. The colors are bright and contemporary but dark enough so they don't get dirty so fast - especially this gray one. Feminine but not "girley."

I have been running in Brooks shoes for years and cannot imagine running in anything else. I was so excited about the launch of Brooks' Pureflow and went through two pairs of the early version. However, when they changed the lacing style and footbed, I was back to square one. I have always gone to specialty running stores to try on my running shoes and take them out for a spin around the parking lot before purchasing. However, this time I just jumped in and ordered the new Brooks Ravennas off of reviews alone... and so far I am pleasantly surprised! They are still no match for the original Pureflows, but I may have just found a substitute that I can live with. I cannot wait to log more miles on these babies! They could be great half marathon or marathon shoes.

I love the comfort of these shoes! They are lightweight and really stylish. This is my first pair of Brooks and I can definitely say I will be purchasing more. I do think that these run a tad big and if you tend to go up a half size for width, Don't! A 6 wide fits my feet perfectly but wide shoes are not always easy to find, so I went with a 6 1/2. I wish I would have gotten a 6. They are okay but pretty roomy in the toe box. The cushion is good but still allows you to feel the ground.

I'm so-so on these running shoes. They look great but the arch support I need for my minor pronation just wasn't there and I had to out in additional arch support. After I switched to these my plantar fasciitis started acting up, putting my running routine on hold. Not the best shoes for my feet.

Switching brands...these felt narrow. Tried three different Brooks...even compared to my old Brooks. Will switch back to Saucony Brand!

This shoe is very comfortable. My best fit is a narrow but the shoe only comes in medium width. I pull the laces tight to hug my foot and wear socks to make them fit. They're so light it's almost possible to forget I'm wearing them. The reason I like Brooks is the excellent arch support.

These shoes are great and just as I expected them to be. They shipped quickly and this was such a good deal! Will definitely order through Zappos again.

This is a great shoe. I have a 6.5W foot, with a bunion on my right big toe and have plantar fasciitis. This shoe has been comfortable to wear all day and required no breaking in time. I am ordering another pair before they discontinue this model. Highly recommend.

My go to running shoes for the last several years have been Mizunos, but with the latest changes the shoes are no longer comfortable for me to run in. I went with Brooks on the recommendation of several friends, and am so happy that I did! These shoes are so light and comfortable. And less expensive to boot! I am sold! I found my new go to running shoes! And Zappos' customer service rocks, thank you so much!

Awesome shoes! Couldn't say enough! Size is exactly right, color is great. I've been using these for walking, running, circuit training. Bought them in multiple colors.

I love these shoes! I have always had problems with my second toe being a bit longer, and so after six miles it feels like the toenail will fall off, but since I switched to the Brooks Ravenna 5 I have not had that problem.

I bought these, as a last minute Christmas present, for my wife. These were a replacement for her Ravenna 4's which she loved. As always, Zappo's provided fast shipping, even over the holiday season. So far she is pleased with the shoes.

This is my second pair of this Brooks style. I wore that pair nearly every day for two years and they held up very well. I hiked and jogged in them for miles. I also washed them a couple times without any problem. I expect to have the same good experience with this new pair. I get compliments on them every day they're so pretty.

I love these sneaks! I had a pair of the Ravenna 4's which I wore out and was hoping that the 5's still have the same features I love. They do! No breaking in time for me. So far I've run with them, done some body pump and some kickboxing. I like that they give me lots of lateral support. These are the only sneakers I've owned that I haven't had to purchase additional inserts for added support.

Have been a Brooks fan for years. Got on board with Ravenna when Axioms were discontinued. They never fail. This pair was for my wife, and she loves them... Very good for your long run, not a speedy shoe. If you need support, I recommend this shoe!!

I have only run in these a couple times and they seem to be just as good as the older model. I love when companies, especially running shoes do not make changes to their shoes. I tend to have a wider forefoot than heel and I use an orthotic insole and these shoes accommodate both, with style and comfort.

Very happy with this shoe. Have worn this style since Ravenna 3. Walk and work out in them, don't run so can't speak to that.

These are perfect for my feet! I have always had issues with running shoes hurting my ankles. These are awesome. I get a lot of compliments on them, too.

Very comfortable with maximum support. I use them mostly for walking and light running. I like them so much I wear them everyday for errands, keeping up with the kids, etc. Good for a medium to slightly wide foot too.

I have a messed up left foot: tendonitis, arthritis, plantar fasciitis & a bone spur + narrow heels. I put this shoe on & all the miseries of my foot left! Both feet were in heaven - like they had been made just for me by a masterful cobbler.

Second pair. I have achilles issues and I used to wear a minimal shoe...when I couldn't anymore. I tried these and BOOM....NO PAIN! LOVE THEM!
