I was disappointed. I had Merrell Mocs in the past that I loved and completely wore out. These lack the top zipper which was so convenient, and the toebox is not as wide as they used to be. Also miss the smooth leather. Changes in the model are not to my liking and I'm returning them.

The Cons: Much more narrow than the version from 2014 and earlier. Gunsmoke is a greenish-gray color. Not brown like shown in the photo. The height is much lower on the foot and it shows more of your ankles than the previous style. No-show socks do show with these The insole is not as cushioned as it was before The Pros The sole is the still the same rugged, non-slip sole of the previous style The material is still waterproof I only kept them because of the sole and the waterproofing for rain, snow, wet ground, etc.

These shoes fit great and feel great but the sole just doesn't work for me. I bought this same shoe with a lesser sole a couple of years ago and loved them. Hoped these would work for me but must not nearly as comfortable. I will return these.

I love Merrell shoes and have both the nubuck and suede Jungle mocs in a size 11. They fit perfectly. I expected the waterproof jungle moc in size 11 to fit the same as the other mocs but it felt much too small--at least a half size too small when I put it on. Must send back.

Very cushy, warm interior. I love this style for quick in/out with the dogs in and about our yard in the winter. I had several pairs about a decade ago which finally bit the dust. If I had only known that this company would adopt such drastic changes in their fit and quality! I attempt periodically to try this brand again and am so grateful to Zappos for their inventory and service. Merrell continues to disappoint! Even with heavy sock to fill the heel cup, the toe box becomes very narrow. I ordered this shoe in it's Nubuck and regular Jungle Moc versions and they too fit similarly but with more volume than my heavy socks could fill. The arch support was decent but in the wrong place for my foot. I don't have a narrow foot but do have a narrower heel. In styles for these types of shoes, I do go up a 1/2 size so for my 7.5 foot, the 8 was right given the shape of the toe box. What gives with this company?

I have worn these for many years in size 8. I have wide feet. When a size 8 was too tight recently, I ordered an 8½. These are still too tight! I think the Merrell Jungle Moc is not as wide as it used to be - for shame, Merrell! Thank heavens for Zappos' heavenly service.

I've worn these for 15 yr, but in the past 2 yr, there have been significant changes in the fit - shorter, with more shallow toe-box. Returned, very disappointed.

I've been wearing Merrell Jungle Mocs for at least 10 years. This year I found the sizing and width have changed considerably. I tried a half-size up but found that the heel was too wide. I'm very disappointed as these were by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I will have to find a different brand.

I had originally bought this shoe in 7.5 (normal size). It felt great all around my foot except in the length; my toes hit the front of the shoe as I walked, and I didn't think any amount of wearing in would stretch it lengthwise. So I exchanged them for an 8. The 8 definitely felt better in the length, but I've worn the shoes three times and now they feel huge and over stretched. My foot moves around in them and though they are exceptionally comfortable in the soles and arches and heels, I feel like I'm wearing a huge slipper. I'm disappointed because the price isn't cheap but I needed to wear them a few times to really see how they fared, and now I can't send them back. They'll be a gift for a friend I guess. But something is off about their size; I've never had a 7.5 feel that short in a shoe. But if you do get the right size, you'll be happy -- they are a fantastic feeling walking shoe.
