Oh, I love these shoes and just ordered a 2nd pair in a different color. I have wide feet with high arches so finding shoes with a good fit has become somewhat of an issue. These feel great all day long. I love the "breezy" effect. Like my running shoes, my feet don't get hot, but they aren't cold on bitter days either. I think they're great.

I bought this pair of shoes to replace a pair I'd purchased years ago (same style) and worn out. Great shoe. Only drawback was that the sole didn't feel quite as comfy as the previous pair.

I was surprised to find a Merrell shoe in a wide width, which is the reason I don't usually buy them. So when I saw the black Encore 3 in wide, I ordered them. They arrived promptly and I was excited to try them, but found the foot bed very scratchy and uncomfortable. The rest of the shoe felt fine, so I replaced the foot bed with a different one, and they are now much more comfortable. I don't know if I just got an off pair, but the foot bed on both shoes were very irritating. I didn't see any other reviews complaining about the foot beds, so the ones I got must have been a bad pair. I am very pleased with the shoes since I changed the foot beds. They are quite comfortable and fit well. I wish the wide width was available in more colors and more Merrell styles.

My second pair. I have prescription orthotics, and they fit without removing the insole. They are great to walk long distances in, but please, Merrell: make the insole non-smelly like the rest of the line. I have Merrell sandals with a antibacterial lining, so why can't the Breeze have the same properties? And the white ones have white insoles, which makes it necessary to remove them and wash them way more than if they had been a darker color. And p.u., they smell like mad. So: darker, antibacterial insole. I don't think I'm alone in this problem. So 4 stars instead of 5.

The first pair I bought were fabulous! The minute I put them on they were the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Bought my husband a pair and he loved his. THEN I bought myself 2 more pairs in different colors. Did not fit the same. Ordered from different companies and still no luck. I finally bought 1/2 size smaller. My toes hit the front of the shoe but they do not slip off.

It's true that Merrell sizing has seemed to change the past few years -- though it's possible the change is with my foot. At any rate, I seem to be in-between Merrell sizes, both width and length; the shoe just does not fit as perfectly as it used to. I am choosing to just live with it. I have worn this style for many, many years -- as a pair gets too worn to wear out in public they become slippers and from there become my outside chore shoes. Easy to slip on, easy to wear.

I wanted a pair of non-leather, animal-friendly clogs and I'd been wanting to try Merrell's for awhile. (I'm a fan of Orthaheel/Vionic but thought I'd try to expand my shoe universe.) First I tried the Merrell Breeze 2 in a size 7 - my usual size. Too big. So I got it in a 6.5. Good! Then I thought I'd get a 2nd pair in another color - tried the Breeze 3 (the Encore Breeze 2 has limited availability since it's last year's model). Nope. I really prefer the wider toe box of the "2". I did end up replacing the innersole with an Orthaheel one because I need that stronger arch support.

This was my first pair of Merrell's. They were HUGE on my foot and I've taken a size 7M for DECADES. I went looking for 6.5 in the color I wanted and got the Breeze 2 (which seems to have better reviews all over online) at Footsmart. I think I'll try to get another pair there.

Pros: Comfortable and lightweight. Cons: Arch support hit in the wrong place for my feet, regardless of whether I went a half size up or down. Not enough support or cushioning to warrant full price (although I kept a pair anyhow).

I've been wearing Merrell Encore Breeze shoes for many, many years. I'm a vegetarian with peripheral neuropathy, and I'm a teacher, so these shoes have been my mainstay. That said, I must agree with other reviewers that the new version of this shoe does not fit the same as my well-loved Breeze 2. It is a little narrower, a little longer, and the heel is a little lower. I only just got them, so I can't speak as to the quality. I do not like the changes, and I strongly urge Merrell to return to the Breeze 2 model.

Very solid and sturdy shoe, however very stiff when new. It took a few weeks to soften up and become more comfortable. Good looking shoe. I wear to work (nursing) and wear on weekends occasionally. I have my orthotic insoles which fit just right. I would buy again if more colors were available.

I have 3 pairs of the Encore Breeze 2 in a wide and they were very comfortable (have a bunion on my left foot). Since they are no longer available, I ordered the Breeze 3,also in a wide, but they are not as wide or as comfortable as the Breeze 2. I am keeping them since I don't have many other options. Merrell needs to do a better job of replacing shoe quality. Zappos rocks !!

I like how easy to wear in the summer time , since I wear them indoor for heel pain reason. I have to order wide with at least a size up to fit my orthotics in them. Overall it is a good for what my feet's condition.
