Classy for a sneaker. Just because I am of the female persuasion doesn't mean I want white sneakers with pink trim for crying out loud. Super comfortable - Good arch (not excellent but good enough) support for a casual day to wear. And perfect for the gym. And so light I'm comfortable wearing them on the scale. :)

I have worn Merrell hiking boots for many years. They generally last two seasons because I wear them for hiking and also in the winter (waterproof + Vibram-type soles). My last pair, bought two years ago was the Salida low-rise. It was the most comfortable pair of almost anything that I've ever put on -- and I immediately lived in it for 3 weeks in South America, hiking, climbing on lava and walking the cobbled streets of old cities. Great Boot! But as always happens, eventually the boots got compressed on the inside, and it was clearly time to buy new boots. I went looking for Merrell Salidas, only to discover that the Salida is now only made in the ankle high boot, mid-rise. Due to an old injury (plate and pins), I can't wear mid-rise boots. So I talked to Merrell who told me the Azura is built on the same last and would be a good replacement for my wonderful Salidas. I bought the boot from Zappos and have had to return it because it just ain't so. It is a different (and less comfortable last), and the shoe is VERY stiff, which is not good for climbing around on rocks. So I bought nice thick Thorlo socks from Zappos to "fill in" my old Salidas and will start looking at Other Companies for boots.

This is a great shoe -- with one fatal flaw. It has a weird rise on the inside of the shoe opposite the arch. This is incredibly uncomfortable and would cause bad blisters. I wonder who would be able to wear this shoe since I have an average to narrow foot.

Have worn Merrell shoes for years but need a wide shoe now due to foot surgeries. So excited that they now come in wide widths. Wish all their shoes came in wide. Needed these hikers for an upcoming trip. I've been wearing them around town but they really haven't needed breaking in. Perfect out of the box.

I have "duck" feet, wide in front and narrow in back. I ordered these in a wide and they did not disappoint. The toe box is both wide and high, while the heel is normal. They are very comfortable, although it does feel like the arch is closer to the heel of the shoe than my arch is to my heel. But, I still like them very much.

I have a wide foot with bunions and wear custom orthotics, so I feel lucky to find a shoe that fits and is comfortable. These shoes worked perfectly! I replaced the insoles with my orthotics and wore around the house for an hour. The next day I walked over 2.5 miles with no hot spots or achy feet. The shoes are not cushioned like sneakers, but they are supportive and stable for walking on streets and trails. The teal and gray colors are great for fall and look good with jeans and cargo hiking pants. I will buy another pair in a different color very soon!

The shoe was far too flexible for my liking. I didn't feel as though my feet would be protected if I stepped on anything sharp or uneven. It's more like a tennis shoe with a trail look.

I really wanted to love these shoes - in Seattle, waterproof is a must. But the waterproofing does not last very long. My first pair started leaking within 30 days (Zappos replaced them, which was great), but the replacement pair started leaking five months later. The pair of North Face boots that I had before these lasted over four years without a single drop of water getting through. I stopped using them because they looked shabby, not because they stopped working. These look much nicer, but they are too expensive to buy new ones every few months.

I need a wide shoe and room for my orthotics, these work great and are very comfortable. The heel doesn't slide even with the orthotics! Great speedy delivery from Zappos once again! Thanks.

I found the fit odd! I ordered these in a 9W. I cannot complain there, however the outside edge from the base of the little toe to mid heel was too narrow and it pushed on the bottom outside edge of my foot. That is overall annoying! I removed the liner and replaced it with others and still had the same problem. When I examined these shoes with the liner removed I noticed the difference in the stitching compared to another shoe. The shoe narrowed in the arch like it is supposed to, but it did not widen again back in the heel. This seems to be why the shoe pushed up and in from toe to mid heel; like the arch support was on the wrong side.

I ordered 5 different size color and width variations in hopes of finding the right one. This one is perfect! I know that they are not waterproof so I might give them a spray with waterproof product to give a boost but they are comfortable right out of the box. This color combo looks great with my army green and warms browns. They look more feminine than my previous hiking shoes. Not quite as purple looking as the picture, they are a nice chocolate brown leather with a nice dull purple. My right foot has problems from volleyball injuries but these felt good right away.

I bought these shoes for walking in our rocky desert outback, and they really fit the bill. Roomy toebox (thanks, Merrell for the wide width) means no pain in the forefoot. My heels are narrow, so they slip around some. Merrell is my go-to hiking shoe.

I have very wide feet and have to order all my shoes. Merrell Azura fits my foot perfectly. It is well made and very comfortable. I am thrilled to have some very comfy shoes.

When I first put on the shoes, they were uncomfortable on the undersides of the widest part of my feet and I was worried they were too narrow, but within about half an hour they were perfectly comfortable. There is plenty of toe room. My first pair of Merrell's lasted for many years, and I have no doubt these will too.

I loved the color of these Merrell's and also the "bounce" I felt walking in them. However, although I ordered an 8 Wide, they were too short and too narrow. I have low profile (skinny) feet that are wide in the toes from wearing sandals most of my life. I also have arthritis in my toes and any pinch is very painful. I have ordered an 8.5 Wide now, and another different pair of Merrell's Moab in a size 9, although I wear a 7 in a sandal.

This shoe felt stiff but airy. The styling was okay, but overall shoe turned out to be a little bulky for me. I felt that I could find something more comfortable.

These are much cuter on the screen than they are in person. Something about the toe box looks really clunky, almost orthopedic. SUPER comfortable if you can tolerate the appearance which I decided I couldn't.

Love these shoes! These shoes have been through a great deal with lots of heavy duty usage! I compete in dog sports, so I need a shoe that is light and has enough traction to make the sharp turns. Also something that will not get soaked from a drop of rain. The Merrell Azura shoes does all of the above and more. The sizing is spot on and the toe box is nice and roomy (but not too roomy). I can easily spend 10+ hours on my feet without pain. I have been wearing them for over 8 months and they are still going strong!

I ordered over thousands of dollars worth of shoes before I settled on these gems. They're sturdy, comfortable and love that they come in a width width. If they came in extra wide, I'd have ordered that but these fit well and don't make my feet cramp! Nice support and look good too.

I am training for a marathon walk and these above all the many shoes that I have tried, is like heaven. It feels like floating, they are so comfortable and provide good support. I love them.

I bought these shoes last year to work in my yard. I normally wear an 8 in shoes, but ordered the 8.5 for added comfort. I love the style of these shoes, but every time I wear them more than 2 hours, they kill my feet. I'm guessing that the shoe is too narrow over the ball of the foot. I may try ordering them again in a wide.

I love these shoes, this is my second pair! They offer support and comfort, can be worn hiking or just walking around town. I wear them with Super Feet inserts due to some problems with my feet but I'm sure they are fine on their own. I would say they are not tight fitting but have a roomier fit.

This shoe is well made and very stylish. I did have to return to get a smaller size but that is very easy and convenient with Zappos.

Comfortable walking shoe - like a sneaker with support. Size perfect, unlike sneakers.
