There were many things I liked about this sandal! The deal breaker was the nylon thread rub on the top of my foot from the Merrill label sewn on the strap. Ouch. Bad idea Merrill. Otherwise really like the sandal!

Great fit, great arch support! Loved the color! However, the straps were rubbing on the top of my foot and that was enough for me to send them back.

I’ve recently purchased 19 pairs of sandals from Zappos, and returned or will return most of them. I’m including this intro in all my reviews. First of all, thanks Zappos for your free shipping and free returns that allow me to have the equivalent of a personal shoe store. Second, I’ve discovered that my feet have become very sensitive, and I can’t tolerate anything except shoes that are perfectly comfortable from almost the moment I first put them on. My left foot seems to be more sensitive than the right foot, especially to any lumps in the footbed. Third, and related to #2, even though I think thong sandals look great, I just can’t handle the thong unless it’s extremely soft. I consistently take a size 10M, my feet are what you’d call medium volume, and I have low arches. Merrell Agave 2 Lavish - I ordered these in Aluminum, which as others have said is a really nice neutral color, not metallic at all. These are made of soft and comfortable leather, and I loved the microfiber footbed. As with several other styles of sandals I've ordered in my quest for the perfect pair(s), the straps over the toes were very loose and couldn't be tightened. Length and width were fine, but when I walked my foot moved all the way forward until my toes were hanging over the end of the sandal - the straps were too loose to hold my foot back!

These are a nice, comfortable sandal but I find the top straps crunch my little toe just a bit. They are not adjustable at the toes which is unfortunate. Other than that the sandal is delicate and suitable for wear with shorts, slacks or a skirt. A nice sandal for everyday wear.

I really like the look of the shoes on my feet. If they had a bit more support, these would be my favorite everyday sandals. However, I find that after a few hours at work; my feet start to ache on the bottom. I still wear them! Just not for too long.

Great sandal - doesn't come in narrow so a little wide for my foot. Love the color - goes with everything especially a gray/silver purse I have. Very comfortable for walking.

These Merrell Lavish sandals are very comfortable, a great fit. Wish Merrell still used all leather and suede uppers, but they are man-made junk now. I think vegans would like these.

This is the last of the comfortable Merrell shoes, as it seems that Merrell has changed their 'last' to provide less arch support in newer models. If this fits your foot, I would grab it like the last comfortable shoe ever made. Didn't fit my bunions otherwise would have been mine.

I bought these for a European vacation this summer. Success! My persnickety feet fared well wearing these nearly every day for 2 weeks while sightseeing and keeping up with 4 active young adults for whom cobblestone streets are just an added charm. No blisters and no tired, burning feet. Good arch and ankle support. And cute with dresses, too. Buying my 2nd pair now for next year's vacation.

I've been looking since the end of last summer for the perfect casual sandal. I LOVE the look of this one. I needed a sandal that was not a slide or a thong but that didn't look like my grandmother should be wearing it. Sandals with an ankle strap look awful on me, so I like the way the straps are situated. The only problem I have is that the straps are loose. I've always thought my feet were on the wider side, but my feet sort of swim in these. I've solved the situation by inserting an insole which helps my foot stay snug in the sandal instead of having my toes slip off the front edge of the shoe.

Comfortable shoe with good support. Not as cute as other Merrells I have owned. Wish it came in a tan or a lighter brown since this color is dark. Overall, a good comfortable sandal.

Good arch support which I was looking for but the straps were too loose for my foot and couldn't be adjusted. I am a size 9 and the length was perfect but my foot was sliding around due to the loose straps.

I was looking for sandals that were versatile enough to be somewhat nicer but also practical for lots of walking this summer. I like Merrells, I have owned other styles in the past. These are comfortable, great shoes, but they just made my legs look stubby. That top strap cuts my feet off visually in a way that just isn't attractive. Maybe if your legs are long, or you don't mind that look these will work well for you. They attach at the back with a buckle which was comfortable and easily adjusted, good with narrow feet at the heels.

I loved these sandals when they arrived, but there is a small square of leather that sits over the big toe bone and it rubbed. There were exposed stitches underneath and the spot it was sewn to hits the foot in a bad place to make walking comfortable. Too bad.

The footbed feels better than good quality running shoes. The upper is leather and looks nice on the foot. The leather has a flaw in the pair I received (like a piece missing). My feet are medium width, and sometime shoes feel just slightly tight at first. These are very loose, even after tightening them to the last hole. I'm disappointed as they would be great for walking if they were adjustable to support my foot. my foot.

The styling of this shoe made it look more middle aged on my foot than online. The aluminum color was more taupe than silver, which added to the middle aged effect. I'd hoped for a more brilliant silver, so I'm returning these shoes. I'll be ready for them in another 20 years, I'm sure!

I received this sandal today and although I love the Merrell brand, this sandal felt too loose, even after I adjusted the side straps. The fit was not secure to my feet and would wiggle when I walked in them. Some brands are making the medium width larger as the population gets bigger. There are still some of us that remain a true medium width and it is becoming harder and harder to find sandals or slides that fit comfortably and safely. The look is very nice and the foot bed comfortable. Unfortunately they are going back and I will try a Clarks sandal.

Horrible. Merrell redesigned these shoes since I bought my last pair. The new foot bed is squishy, hot, gives no support, and my toes slide almost off the front of the sandal if I attempt to walk in them. The straps on the previous model were leather and lined in leather. These are leather lined with something that feels like cloth. I've walked hundreds of miles in multiple pairs of Agave. These are going to Goodwill. Don't waste your money.

When I first put the shoes on, they felt wonderful. However, I soon realized that the stitching was a problem for me. There were 2 places that rubbed on my foot which made them unacceptable to me. I really loved the support and style.

This sandal seems best suited for someone with a wide, high-volume foot; it was much too wide for my B-width foot. Pros: delightfully lightweight, with great cushioning. Cons: lacks an adjustable ankle strap; and the leather straps seem flimsy by Merrell's usual standards.

Not so much that the footbed was wide - it was perfect. The straps over the foot were a bit loose, and the sandal didn't feel snug enough.

Merrell makes the most comfortable shoes I have worn. These have the same excellent foot bed that all Merrells have, but the stitching on the strap is coarse and rough - left sandal only.

Wow! These are really wide! I wear a wide shoe, and the normal width is way to wide for me. My foot slid out the top. Normally a Merrell is the right width for me.

Like all Merrell sandals, these are well styled, comfortable, supportive...but good grief, who picked that color? I thought it would be a nice red from the picture, but it has a definite metallic copper tint to it, which is why I gave this shoe only 3 stars overall. But hey -- I ordered 3 different pairs of red shoes to pick from, so I'll wait a couple of days to make a final decision, particularly since it's supposed to snow tomorrow and I have plenty of time before sandal season starts! They sure are comfortable.

Great shoe, just too wide and I have a wide foot. The length and width together did not work for me. They were too wide and the next size up would not have worked.
