Have purchased numerous Merrells from Zappos, this one did not seem true to size. I thought it would loosen up a bit, but has not and therefore not a shoe I often wear

Very tight. Did not seem comfortable even if they fit right. I don't understand how you're selling these shoes.

I really want to like these shoes, but they were kind of stiff and not very cushy out of the box. I told myself that I could break them in over the next two weeks, but they never got any more comfortable. The toebox is also too narrow for my fat toes and I just can’t keep wearing these uncomfortable shoes. It is a shame.

the toe came apart in three months

The tongue was too short. It was uncomfortable digging into the top of me feet.

I've worn Merrills for 20 years and this is the first time I was ever disappointed. I bought these shoes at a high end dept. store while on vacation far from home, else I'd have returned them. First; I assumed that the elastic over the instep would break-in and loosen up a bit, but is hasn't and is far too tight and strong; it has no give and has put my feet "to sleep" several times. Second, these are casual shoes, not hiking shoes, but they have a sole that's far to "outdoorsie" that picks up and holds mud, snow, etc. and is VERY difficult to clear. Third, the Nubuck material quickly became shiny and "matted" where the my bottom slacks touches them and looks terrible. I bought these as casual loafers, but after a few weeks they looked terrible despite cleaning so I relegated them to garden duty.

I've been happily wearing Merrell shoes for years. However, as one reviewer wrote, they're being made "cheaper." This is the second pair I have ordered that within two months have been losing their "finish." Wherever the hem of my pants rubs on the shoes, the shoes become "bald," losing their attractive finish. This never happened before. I'm afraid I'll have to look for another brand.

I ordered these shoes and they look and feel beautiful. However when trying them on and walking on them on the carpet in the house, there is a bit of a hollow on the outside of the shoe under the arch, and the shoe tends to fall over a bit toward the arch side. Since my foots' arches aren't that strong to begin with, I don't think that's such a good thing. Concurrently with this order, I ordered a pair of Merrell ColdPack Ice+ Winter Shoes,a very similar shoe, and this second pair of shoes doesn't have the same problem as the Merrell Jungle Moc Nubuck Waterproof. So although the sole on the Jungle Moc looks very curvy and sexy when you look at it, it has that little flaw when walking, which for some individuals might eventually cause them an ankle eversion and sprain. The Jungle Moc Nubuck sure is gorgeous though, with its suede type brown leather. So I guess it's up to each individual to decide!
