These boots were absolutely gorgeous! Great leather and beautiful quality! Zappos and everyone else was out of the 8.5 in the chestnut and I didn't need the Bordeaux color. Sadly I ended up returning the Bordeaux. I typically wear an 8 to 8.5, these boots fit my narrower calves and foot like a glove. The lined foot bed made them feel cushy and comfortable. Definitely a great boot, too bad my color wasn't available, but will reconsider later. The right boot did rub my ankle bone just a touch, not sure if that would soften or always be a problem. May need a heavier pair of socks to wear that in at first.

Love these boots. I wear workout gear all day and they are a great addition to dress up my wardrobe without looking too dressy. Boots rub at the ankle but hoping it gets broken in soon.

These are seriously gorgeous boots. The leather is more matte than in the picture but I actually prefer that over the shiny look. I really like the fact that the buckle at the top has a purpose and can tighten or loosen if need be.I do have smaller calves which is why I chose these. I have received many compliments in the short amount of time I've had them - They are also super comfy and the footbed is nicely lined and toasty. I am not disappointed at all and look forward to having these for many years! Ordered my usual 8 size and they were perfect!

These are a nice-looking boot; I just wish they were more comfortable! I wear a solid 8 1/2 M, and that's what I ordered. They seemed like they fit well when I first put them on. But after a mere half hour of wearing them around the house, my feet were dying to get out of them! The problem is the toe box isn't high enough -- and I don't have particulary high feet! They were rubbing the top of my foot just below where the big toe begins to such an extent that there is actually a little scrape there. I'm sure if I wore them any longer it would turn into a significant wound -- and there would be sores probably elsewhere. The toe box is just really stiff, and they are lined only with a very thin muslin-like cotton -- no sort of cushioning between your foot and the stiff leather (except the bottom of the foot, which is soft and comfy sheepskin). I was wearing fairly thin trouser socks; thicker socks might help . . . maybe -- but in that case I would size up. On the looks side, I liked them, and even tried to talk myself into keeping them, thinking that the leather might loosen up. But with an actual wound from 1/2 hour of wear, the prospects weren't promising! One thing I would change about the looks is make the straps leather to match the boot, rather than suede. The suede is not quite the same color, and it would look nicer if better matched. I have to say that in person the straps didn't stand out as much as in the pictures, though -- a good thing in my book. On the color: I ordered "deep bordeaux," even though I wanted more of a chocolate brown, because the pictures made them look brown rather than reddish as the name suggests. The pictures were correct -- the "bordeaux" aren't reddish at all. In fact, I tried on Picolino's Brujas boot in "chocolate" at the same time, and toe-to-toe, the colors were essentially identical. I would recommend the Picolino's, by the way -- I'm keeping them! They are definitely a little different in appearance, but I kind of like that, and they are SOoooo comfortable, and having the Uggs on the other foot really highlighted the difference between the two. One last point, on price: at this price, these are not cheap boots, so I was disappointed to find out where "Ugg Australia" has their boots made! Not that these workers can't make high quality products, but we all know that they get paid very little. What, then, justifies this high price? The Picolino's, made where workers are paid more, are significantly less.

This is the best pair of boots that I have ever bought! I just love them so much. When I first put them on they felt a tiny bit tight but after wearing them for a couple of days they were so perfect. They were so worth the money! They are beautiful!

Finally a boot to fit slim calves! Very comfortable right out of the box as well as wearing them all day. I usually wear an 8.5 but ordered a 9 in anticipation of wearing warmer socks. Still a great fit and I'm not swimming in them. Love the color though it did darken slightly when I waterproofed them. They do stretch a smidge so if you find them snug, don't worry they will form to you. Great boot and worth the price!

Awesome boots! They're so warm and comfy. Nothing negative to say. You get what you pay for. You won't regret this buy.

I have this boot in Chestnut, which is pretty but rustic, and am seriously considering getting another color. Mine were purchased in my normal size unlike the traditional Ugg boots where I usually go down a size. I do wear this boot with socks. I have small (13") calves, and these are not tight at all on my legs but they don't make me feel like I'm wearing my big sister's boots either. I can easily tuck jeans into the Darcie boots, and wear cute boot socks that peek out of the top of the boot. While they are certainly not snow boots, they have kept me warm and dry in the first two months of the Midwestern winter. I wear them at least twice a week, and get compliments every time I wear them. If you don't like leather with a lot of character to it, I wouldn't recommend the Chestnut color. But mine have responded nicely to some leather conditioner and have a perfectly worn in/loved look to them that I really like.

This is an amazing boot and couldn't be happier about my purchase. These boots are by far the most comfortable pair of boots I've owned. When you step into them you'll quickly notice the warm and comfy fleece bottom. They are lined with a pretty plaid fabric. The exterior of the boot has a wonderful weathered look to it. I've warn these with leggings, skinny jeans as well as skirts and dresses. Your options are limitless. The height of the heel is perfect - neither too low or high. I'll admit I was taken aback by the price at first glance but after I wore them for a day I realized they were worth every penny.

Absolutely love these boots and my VIP Zappos! Get a lot of compliments on them, have had them since last January and they still look great for this fall. I ordered my usual size 9, even though I usually order an 8 in my regular short and tall Uggs. They feel a little big, but I wear them with thick socks and they are great for all day!

I love these boots but must return them for a larger size. I normally wear a size 8, but a size 8.5 will surely give me just that little bit of extra room to be optimally comfortable.

These are the most beautiful boots I have ever seen. When I took them out of the box, I was immediately filled with a sense that I wanted them. The leather on the out side felt so soft, and of such high quality. I pulled them on, and they felt wonderful, with a sheepskin foot bed. I reached down to pull the zipper up.....nope. I expanded the the buckle as far as it would go. and only could just zip them up with difficulty. I am 6ft 1, and weight 170lbs. I am well proportioned. I would suggest that you only buy these boots if you have skinny calves. The toe box came exactly to my toe. It is hard leather, and felt tight. I would suggest going up a half size, but they only come in whole sizes. That would then be too large. With tears in my eyes, I packaged them back up, and returned them.

I love these boots! Gorgeous leather and super comfortable, BUT there a little snug on my calves. I tried to ignore it so that I could keep them, but even after talking to both Zappos and UGG customer service, who assured me that they'd loosen up a little, I was worried that I'd have a pair of this cost of boots that are too tight to wear. So, unfortunately, I have to return them. For reference, my calf is 15. I may go up half a size to see if that makes any difference.

I received this as a gift since the chestnut color is out of stock. The color is just like the video and the quality is superb! I love the distressed look! I think they need breaking in time! My husband loves these on me! I am so happy!

I have had a few pair of the classic Ugg boots. I usually wear a 9 in regular shoes because my feet are wide. With the classic boots, I wear an 8 because they fit big. After reading all of the reviews that said that the Darcie boots ran small, I ordered these in a 9 anyway and thought that if they were snug, I would return them. They fit big! Barefoot, my feet have a lot of movement inside the boots. I almost sent them back for an 8½, but with thick socks they fit better. I wore them all day with the socks and after five hours they began to hurt. I took the socks off and the pain went away. I guess all of this means that I need to wear thinner socks even though they feel a little big. They are beautiful and I had a lot of compliments on them. The leather is more of a distressed leather and what I call oil rubbed.

Bought these boots for my wife for her birthday. She loves them. Very comfortable and they look great. The first pair had a bad zipper, Zappos had a new pair at our house in two days. Excellent customer service.

To me, these are the most attractive boots that I have ever seen. Obviously, I am talking about high class, casual boots. I have the brown and cannot imagine cuter boots. I looked for two years for the right boots. They were a little pricier than what I had planned to spend, but I have no regret. I usually buy a size 8 but the store had only 7½. I ordered them thinking that I would probably have to return them and buy elsewhere in a bigger size when they became available, (it was pre-season and they were not widely available yet,) but I took a chance. At first I thought that I might need to get the 8 but I wore them around the house and they were immediately comfortable. I do not plan to wear thick socks because I live in Northern California and they have fur under the foot. It is never very cold here, so I will be very comfortable with thin socks. These are so great! The brown is gorgeous!

These boots are awesome. Comfortable, sturdy, warm, great in inclement weather, and fit me perfectly. As a gal who has trouble finding shoes to fit these size 12 feet, I appreciate ANY footwear brand with options beyond the standard cut-off size 10. But UGGS ups the game, with well made, snuggly warm, stylish choices. Thank you, Uggs! I have many pairs and will remain a loyal customer. And thank you, Zappos for carrying this brand.

I have spent (no joke) years trying to find boots that will fit my skinny calves and time and again been disappointed as boots being sold as skinny aren't in fact skinny (my calves are around 13") and I can usually shove an entire fist and arm down the shaft with my leg in it. Not a pretty sight. I've resorted in the past to ordering from DUO boots in the UK as they make custom shaft sizes, however dealing with international shipping is a pain especially if you have to return the boots.... But finally I found these! And they are close enough, they could be a tad bit tighter but with a needle and some thread and a bit of a snip on the belt at the top I think they'll be perfect!! As for foot sizing, I'm normally between an 8 and 8.5 and first I ordered the 8's, however they felt a bit tight so I ordered the 8.5's and they were too big! Sort of flopped a bit when I walked. With a thicker pair of socks they would work, however living in CA where it doesn't get very cold, my feet would literally roast to death, so I took a chance and stuck with the 8's hoping that they will eventually stretch a bit. So far I'm so glad I did, they do rub a bit here and there but with some band-aids on those spots until I've broken them in will take care of that. Very comfy aside from the rubbing and look really good even with a bit of a gap. Overall very pleased with these! Though they are pricey, they seem well made and are around the same cost as buying from DUO, except that I don't have to deal with shipping, cause it's Zappos after all!

These boots are wonderful in every way. They are perfect for ladies with small calves (I'm a size 9 with 13" calves). Great quality all around and very versatile style- can be dressed up or down. They come with Uggs signature sheep wool lining on the inner sole but have no support. Since I stand all day at work, I just got some great arch supports and problem solved! I'm so happy to finally get boots that my legs aren't swimming in! Worth every penny!

These for beautifully in every way except the upper calf. I have really narrow calf and I couldn't cinch the top enough without them looking like they had wings. Otherwise these are gorgeous in every other way!

I am in love with these boots. It took a few wearings around the house for the leather to loosen up, but when it did, heaven! They are so comfortable I can walk in them all day. The plaid lining and shearling footbed make them pretty warm also. If you are looking for a cute, casual, comfortable boot - look no further!

These boots are gorgeous and fit me perfectly. I have very narrow calves and have a hard time finding boots that don't look clownish on me. These fit so perfectly I'll be able to wear them with tights or over skinny jeans. The leather is fantastic. The color is perfect. They are also incredibly comfortable. Win-win-win!

Love these! They are super stylish and comfortable. I have a somewhat wide foot so I went up a half size and they fit perfectly. I will wear these all winter.
