This is a wardrobe staple. Goes well with jeans and khakis. High quality leather and comfortable footbed. My only complaint is the fit is snug. I suggest ordering one half size up.

I like the shoes a lot, they have a very clean look to them and will suit my needs. I'm glad mine don't have the pronounced stitching you show in your photo. The only two issues I have are I was looking for them in a EE which they don't come in, so I had to go up a half size which is something I'll live with. The second is I like a hard sole shoe and these have the gum soles which don't provide me with the extra support I need with the feet issues I have. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying these they are very sharp looking and the uppers are very nice and comfortable. I didn't have to buy them I could of walked away but I like the Johnston & Murphy quality and I'm satisfied with them.

Great boots

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Looks great too.

Very comfortable. A very rich chocolate brown color. The only problem is they are a little tight. I can only wear them with thin dress socks. I can't do a larger size because then they would be too big.

Like the boot

The shoes looks good, but the fit is more narrow than medium. I returned the pair and exchanged it for a larger size. Hope it works.

Great fit. Durable. Warm. Rugged. This is second pair. Why change the coloring on the toe? What is going on in the shoe industry with the dark-colored toe? Makes no sense and looks terrible. Why change what works?

I Received them as a Christmas gift because my wife was frustrated with my choice of footwear. Now everybody is happy!

Johnston & Murphy are my go to for comfort and style. Have been wearing for years. I ordered the Copeland Chukka in grey. Fit great just like my others however the color grey was not even close!!! Looked more like tan.

This was my sixth pair of Copeland Chukkas. I ordered the oiled taupe color. The shoes are as expected except that the color of each shoe was slightly different. The left one was a solid color a little darker than the right shoe that had a darker toe. Sent them back and expecting another pair that hopefully will match.

Greatt quality boot great fast delivery

One of the most comfortable boots i own. I have work boots, cowboy boots, hunting boots and now a prized pair of lace up dress boot. The problem is and it maybe just because i wear a size 14-15 with narrow ankles. But these are loose footing in the ankle area and when i tighten the laces the leather meets in the middle. I normally prefer my footwear to be somewhat snug and these will not hug my feet, maybe over time they will, as i have never had a boot in this style at this price point. Dont let my review deter you from purchase however they are still an insanely comfortable boot.

Great Boot

I LOVE these boots. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The look is great. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is that the grey is pretty light and even after two coats of protectant, one drop of water that fell on them stained them. Not sure I can wear them in even mild precipitation. That being said, they are so comfy and look great - maybe just go for a non-suede version?

I ordered these online, arrived quickly and I was anxious to try on after reading reviews. I think the shoe is a solid build. It came as expected like all J&M purchases. I did notice it was pretty sung initially. I don't consider myself to have a wide foot but I did feel like it was a little too snug towards the front part of the shoe. After a couple of wears they became more comfortable. The leather is great, marks relatively easy but can be corrected. Very comfortable after break in and is a quiet shoe (no squeaks). Would recommend.

I love the Copeland Chukka. This is my 5th time buying these. I walk anywhere from 8-12 miles a day on concrete in the elements and these are by far the absolute best dress shoes for me. I am 6'5" and about 230, my stature abuses shoes. The sole is comfortable, supportive and holds up well with the constant abuse I put them through. I can put them on brand new for a day of walking with out fear of blisters. The leather is soft, but supportive. However, with this last pair I had some rare issues. On the right shoe the insole must have come from a larger size. It was bent up in the middle like it was a size larger. I originally just tried to see if putting it on and wearing them woukd fix it, but it did not. I had to remove it and trim it down with scissors. The leather heel on the back of the right boot was also weird. It seemed to pinch in harder than any pair that id bought and caused blisters for the first two days. Definitely not typical! Barring a bad shoe that happened one out of 10 shoes, these things are amazing! Definitely recommend them to anyone that puts long hours of walking in, or just wants to look great and be comfortable!

Have others chukkas from J&M and wanted a black pair. The tumbled leather is nice and soft. Only wish they offered in a wide.
