These boots are legit! I would never dream of spending this much money on a pair or shoes, but I bought these on sale for nearly half the price about a month ago from 6pm. I am not sure what formula the website uses to price their items, but I will consider myself lucky :) The shipping was extremely fast. I ordered them in cognac. The color is nice and rich in person. As the other reviewers have mentioned, this shoe is very narrow, even for my scrawny feet.....at first. Please be aware, that leather takes a couple wears to break in and mold to your foot. You might want to consider going a half size up, however, remember that leather does stretch, and with time, these may become floppy and ill fitting, being a half size larger. I were a size 6 normally, and thats what I ordered. The boots felt very narrow at first. I almost considered returning them, but with them being such a steal, I thought what the heck, and kept them. I am so glad I did, because they fit like a glove now. As far as the zipper goes, again, as the other reviewers pointed out, it is a little tough to zip and unzip.....at first. But now it works seamlessly as well. Buttons all work good too. When I first got these boots, they felt stiff, narrow, and hard, but all they needed was a little bit of breaking in...and some love :) If you ever owned a pair of rainbow sandals, you will understand what I mean here. All in all, I am very pleased with this pair! Love my first pair of Fryes! PS I wear these just about every day now and they become more comfortable with each day.

I could not even get these boots zipped! I tried my size and half a size bigger and they were just too short and too tight. My heel hung over the end and prevented zipping. I managed to get the half size bigger zipped, but the zipper goes in at the ankle, so it was a very snug fit. Very narrow and problematic for people with wider feet and/or high instep. I switched these out for the Veronica Shortie boots without the zip (pull-on) and it was a much better fit, even though I still went up half a size.

I bought these for my wife. SHE LOVES THEM!! The fit was perfect. The Fry Veronica Back Zip Short allows the heel to not slip when new unlike pull-on boots that will initially slip slightly on the heel until they are worn enough. She calls these her "zombie apocalyose boots". Honestly, not sure she'll ever be able to sneak up on a zombie since the buckle on these make a noise when she walks. At least she can't sneak up on me! Great price on a outstanding Frye product!

Ive always wanted to buy a pair of Frye Boots . i wondered if it was worth the expense...I'm a boot snob and like good quality... IM IN LOVE WITH these boots. they fit perfect. I'm a size 7 in every type of shoe and these fit great. will shop for a FRYE black boot.

Nice quality leather. I usually wear a 7-7½ but went up to an 8 to fit an arch support. My feet are fairly wide and have plenty of room. I am a big fan!

I ordered these boots from Zappos a year ago, and they are my all time favorite. I love my other Frye boots, but always catch myself putting these on. I'd recommend them to anyone.

These are definitely gorgeous. Fit is funky though so id suggest trying some on at a store first if possible or ordering a couple sizes if there is free return shipping. I wear a 7 in pretty much everything. I have a 7.5 in one pair of sandals. After reading reviews I ordered a 7.5 and they were way too small. I had to return them and order an 8. The eight fits fine with a light to medium weight sock. They are a little jingle-y but if you tuck the zipper under the strap it quiets them down a lot. Gorgeous leather and quality craftsmanship.

I love these boots. They are awesome style and quality. The zippers and little snaps are really quite stylish and different. They kind of make a sound when you strut. I love the quick zipper and snaps detail. Overall one of my favorites this winter season.

These are beautiful shoes! I got the black, which ended up looking like a light black like everyone else described. I love it. I ordered the 1/2 size up (normally a 7 1/2 but got an 8) but I really don't think it would've been horrible at my normal size either, since Frye's stretch out over time. But I can wear them with thicker socks in the winter which is great. So glad I got the zip ones instead of the slouch as well because I have skinny calves and these are more slim and tailored to your leg. These are worth it, they are adorable shoes!

Professionally sized I'm a true 8-1/2 and these boots fit well to footprint that's snug to your foot's contour the leather needs a bit to stretch but a perfect fit even wearing fleece socks. The color is not true solid black it is a moss black and love it even better, it defines the character of the boot. Quality of leather is soft high grade. Grew up on Frye boots built with quality sadly these are not made in the USA. I still have mine from the '70s classics still in style!

I am in love! These are the coolest boots ever! I cannot wait for a bit cooler weather, to wear them! The color is awesome, black, but worn in all the right places. The buckles are really nice. They are made well and look great. They are the perfect shaft height for leggings, dresses, and jeans! They seem to run quite small, I usually wear a 6½, ordered a 7. They do feel a bit tight, even with thin socks, but I am hoping that they stretch and mold to my feet which I am sure they will, being the quality leather they are! I was a bit apprehensive about the price, but when I got them all that went out the window! They are well worth it! They are perfect!

I tried this on last year, loved it, but ultimately added a simpler short boot to my collection...so when I saw this darling boot on sale I immediately ordered it. Rare to find a Frye boot on sale! Beautiful leather in and out, easy zip entry, this fits great over my skinny jeans. Frye is a good fit for me, and I look forward to many years of moto fun.

This little boot is fabulous! I have several pairs of Frye boots & I wanted a short boot. This is it! As always with Frye boots you have to work the zipper for a while. They r always hard to zip. But after a few wears they work out. The leather is wonderful! Is breaking in well & is very comfy now. Thanks Zappos for your speedy service, as always!

Super cute. They are great color...not black, black. Just a tad lighter. I'm sad I have to return them. They run on the small side and are pretty narrow. I'm usually a Frye 7.5 but with the back zip boots I think I need an 8.

These are great boots that are pretty comfortable. They don't have quite as much padding for the feet as do Born. The back zipper can be a little problematic at first until they stretch a bit. I have a black pair also and they are super comfortable after a short time.

I love the look of these boots. However, because they were comfortable, I overdid it the first day I wore them, and got a huge blister on my heel. The only other thing is that the back straps seem to keep coming unsnapped -- not sure why. Based on the reviews, I ordered a half size bigger than my normal size, and that larger size fit just right.

I was looking for a mid calf Frye boot. After a few attempts of one being too tall and not liking the appearance of the antiqued ones I decided on this. I am happy with it even though it's shorter than I really wanted. Comfortable and stylish and looks good with skinny and regular jeans.

Beautiful boot, quality leather, heavy duty as you would expect from Frye. I bought my regular size and that fits fine. Only problem is the bottom snap pops off while walking. Others have reported this issue. I think I am going to superglue the bottom snap on, since I don't need it to get the boot on. Other than this design flaw, they are amazing.

I loved these in the photo and even more when they arrived. Based on other reviews, I was prepared to wear them around the house for a bit to break them in, which I did. They were indeed hard to zip, but that got easier. I will admit I only wore them for about an hour total before venturing outside for my first official wear, and that was a mistake. I have rarely experienced such pain in my feet, and I was just sitting in a restaurant. I think they might be too narrow for me. Length is fine. My feet are still sore in places, and it has been a week. That said, now that I can't return them, I am determined to make them work, and will bring them to the shoemaker to see if he can help me stretch them a bit. I have hope they will one day be comfortable enough for me to just put on and walk out the door without another thought. Fingers crossed!

These are amazing and fit true to size. The buckle straps actually snap on and off, and now that I've worn them twice those little snaps keep coming undone and flop around. I'm going to exchange them for a different pair and I hope it's just a defect because they are fantastic boots.

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them now but had to go a size up. She first ordered a 7 which is her usual size. They fit but gave her terrible heel blisters. Plus, the rubber sole came off at the stitching in the front after just a couple of wears. We returned them and ordered a 7½. The larger size did not cause any blisters and they have held up very well. She wears them almost every day and they look great!

Really cute, comfortable boot but I wish the lining was black instead of tan. It shows if you wear leggings. I have not decided if I will keep them because of this.

Bought these last Fall and absolutely love them. It did not take too long to break in and I tended to put these on just hanging out around the house since so comfy. I am over 50 so that says a lot. I wear mostly with leggings and skinny jeans and some skirts. I would have given a 5 but the snaps are an issue. Pop loose at some point every time I wear them but like boots too much.

I just received these and was a bit apprehensive because of the numerous reviews about comfort and being tight. These are pretty snug but going up a size wouldn't help because it's not really a length issue but overall fit. I have other Frye boots and I know that these will stretch with wear so I'm not worried about it. They're really cute and great for casual wear which is what I was going for.
