I'm going to give one of those really helpful thorough reviews: Great pair of boots. They've received several compliments. They are very comfortable. I first tried these a couple months ago (prior to ordering from Zappos and start of winter) just to get the size down and they fit great. If you're a half size like me (8.5), go for the 9, which fit snug with heavier smart wool socks. In comparison to a pair of Prada Chelsea boots I own, this kept my feet 100% warmer. The big thing, is the anti-slip soles, which amazingly, work as advertised, especially on ice/snow. The shape of the boot is a good size. They are not clunky like a typical "winter boot," but wide enough for most non-fashion guys who prefer a full boot for a full pant. They take a few grabs to get on, but the real bonus is when you have to take them off and don't need to mess around with wet laces, etc. I really believe these boots were made with the New Yorker in mind. Jet black and look like leather. In New York wearing a hiking boot or galosh (man) or anything of that nature with trousers is rather tragic. These can be office ready. Really good buy all around. I don't post many reviews, but I recommend these highly!

I was a big fan of these boots for a while - comfortable, looked good, kept my feet dry and warm, all I expected. Now after four months, the seam in the toe area has begun to crack and water is finding its way in. The shoes, and my socks, were soaked after walking around in last night's slush and rain. This morning, after using a blow dryer to try to dry them out, I still had to shove paper towels in the tips just to keep things a little dry on my way to work. Now granted, it's been a rough winter, and I've worn these things a lot, so maybe a four month life span is to be expected, but I suppose I expected better for the price. I certainly didn't expect them to not last through the winter. Be warned.

I bought these to have a more stylish option to wear during the Midwest winters. I also travel so the thought of having boots that I could easily remove and pull on at the airport appealed to me as well. If you have had a pair of Bogs, then these will feel like a second (softer) skin. They are roomy and comfortable and generally pretty warm but do not have as much insulation as you will find in the more traditional Bogs (I have had the Mids for a while). So far, my only gripe is with the pull string on the back - it is simply too small. It is also pressed flat from the factory so you really have to struggle with it to get your finger in there. I am sure that by the end of the winter, I will have a decent loop that will not be as much work but it could still be 1/8 or even 1/16 bigger in general. Otherwise, these are great boots. They look good with jeans and I might even try to use them with flat front pants to see if they can pull it off. Enjoy!

This was my best boot purchase ever. They satisfy all of my needs they are lightweight and easy to slip on, totally comfortable for all-day wearing, totally waterproof and slip resistant, warm but not sweaty nor cold like other rubber shoes. Plus they are great looking and they stay really clean (someone asked me how my boots were so clean on such a sloppy day!). I am so glad that I got them just in time for two weeks of slushy snow and salt in New York City. I usually wear an 8½-9, these are a 9 and slightly big, but fine with heavy socks. But because the tops hold tight around my ankles, even thin socks they do not make my feet float around. I could not be happier with these. They are expensive but worth it.

I bought this specifically for the New York winter. The shoes feels nice and is a good match with your office get up. My only complaint is that the insoles are less forgiving for the long subway rides and walks. I need to replace it with a more comfortable one. Other than that, its perfect for snow and rain.

True to size. Fits comfortably on the first try. Lighter weight than expected and the sole has great traction on snow. Highly recommended. Try it you won't be disappointed.

These shoes do exactly what they claim to do. They keep you warm and dry. They are my go to shoes when the weather is wet outside. I wear them with jeans.

I absolutely love these boots! Not only are they waterproof but they are super comfortable. I wear them whether it is raining or dry! They are stylish, fun to wear and feel great for all-day wearing. I am also ordering the black pair!

These are great waterproof boots that look good on your feet. They are comfortable and can even pass as a more dressy shoe at night when weather dictates. Because they are made of rubber, you need to keep in mind that they don't breathe very well.

Excellent for snow and rain! These boots were a real lifesaver this winter. I got so many compliments about regarding the style for such a sturdy pair of boots!

These are great boots! They are not the easiest to get on, but very easy to get off when you want to! I wear them to work and you can barely tell that they are not just black shoes. And they are super easy to clean.
