Got this boot on my feet for one day and my feet hurt. The insole I guess is not thick enough. I have worn Timberland Pro for the last three years and they are great comfortable boots. I might return these boots as the comfort is not there.
I'd also recommend:

I am a huge fan of this style of boot- as I wear Blundstones almost daily. These boots are great, fit great, perform well for casual walking around. I did notice that they get a little squirrelly if you are trying to move fast or aggressively, and they almost feel sloppy. Don't get me wrong, I love these boots, but have to accept their limitations. Would I buy them again? We'll see how they last, but so far, I am pretty stoked on them.

It's hard to judge a shoe less than two months after you purchased it, if the reason you purchased it is because of its reputation for durability. If the boots last me five years, I'd want to give it five stars; if it lasts me one, I'd want to give it one. So how am I supposed to evaluate it right now?
Is it comfortable? Sure, but almost all shoes are comfortable. Does it fit? Sure, but if it didn't that wouldn't entirely be the shoe's fault and I'd buy the same one in a different size. Is it waterproof? I haven't worn it in the rain yet so I don't know.
Kind of hard to grade something on that basis, right?
They do feel far warmer than any boots I've previously worn, which took me a couple of days to get used to, but that obviously isn't a bad thing if you're looking for waterproof winter boots. Which these are.
And hey, I can walk in them and they haven't come alive in the middle of the night and stabbed me to death. So I'm happy.

Warm, comfortable, waterproof, and good looking. Not too clunky to wear all day long at work. I love these boots. Perfect for a cold, snowy, Minnesota winter. The only drawback is they were nearly impossible to get on when I first got them - the opening at the top of the shoe is so snug - it was a real struggle - they should come with a shoehorn. Now that they have broken in some, however, it's not nearly as difficult. Otherwise, great boot!

This is my 2nd pair, the first lasted two years, longer then anything I bought in the past. I work year round outdoors on the Oregon central coast and do a lot of walking plus enter people's homes and after many years of trying various waterproof boots and shoes these bogs have proven themselves. Easy to clean and take on and off. They can take on water in time but not to bad as the wicking materials will keep feet dry and odor free. No need for water repellent products as the rubber upper doesn't need it, just an occasional wipe with a protectant type oil or similar product to keep supple. I give them 4 stars as no shoe is perfect but recommend these. They also look good and can be worn out on the town.

Overall this is a good stylish boot. Besides running small your foot slides forward in the boot because of the heel and that is a little annoying. This style is great for work as it is not as bulky as a boot and can be worn out too. Great customer service though when I had to return my first pair for being to small.

These are great waterproof shoes! I purchased these for my husband who works outside and needed waterproof shoes. They are a bit narrow for him, but keep his feet dry in wet, slushy weather. I would have given fuve stars if the boots were a bit wider.

As a Chicago city dweller, I bought these for the purpose of walking the dog or being out and about with snow on the ground no deeper than ankle height as well as partially shoveled/salted walkways. I feel that the Carson is very well suited for this. The lug sole provides good traction in such conditions. The insulation of the Carson allows for normal socks when worn in cold conditions. Good purchase.

I purchased a pair of these for my partner and one for my son in law. My partner is 60 years old and wears a size 9. He felt the shoe was too "heavy or bulky" looking and did not like them. (Doc Marten style.) My son in law wears a size 13 and is 30 years old and did like them. They are functional and comfortable. That is all I can say.

my complaint would be that the pull "loop" although better than previous iterations is still somewhat flimsy and lacks substance "it doesn't hold its shape". i realize that many people have a seating bench in their mud room, i do not and would like to slide the boot on from a standing position. remember my trips outside when this boot is needed can be short and often.
anything you do to make it easier to don the boot from a standing position would make it that much more convenient. otherwise i have no other complaints. these boots fit snug (as they should) and the pull loop is very important. perhaps if your design people tried to do what i'm describing they would understand the need

Excellent value for the money; well constructed and is really practical as well as stylish. Living in the Boston area makes this boot an excellent choice year round.
I just wish you folks would make 1/2 sizes as well as ordering up can sometime make for not the best fit.

These would be great boots with proper sizing. I have multiple pairs of Bogs of various styles. Some fit ok at size 9. Others, like the Carson, are too tight on the top of the foot and cut off circulation. In all cases, If i go up in size to 10, they are too big. As many have stated, 1/2 sizes are needed. Sucks, but I will have to send these back...

great boots, super warm and dry in the snow. just wish they came in half sizes. the 10 is too small and I'm swimming in the 11, have to wear two pairs of socks and they're still loose. That's the only thing that keeps me from recommending them and I probably won't buy another pair after this pair wears out. With a half size option, this would be the perfect winter boot.

These are essentially a more stylish version of the classic rubber rain boot. They look like Chelsea boots, which is what drew me to them. But their lack of functionality made me decide to return them pretty quickly after I got them. They are advertised as having a rugged tread, which is not the case -- the soles are slippery even walking around indoors; I would not trust them to keep me safe on wet pavement, walking up a hill, or on any kind of terrain other than a totally flat, dry sidewalk. They don't feel rugged in general, either, and they're poorly insulated; this shoe is probably much better suited for warmer climates where all you need is some waterproofing on rain days. For New England weather, I ended up ordering a pair of actually rugged engineering boots, which look just as good if you wear them right and are properly insulated and make my feet feel supported and secure rather than dangerously flimsy.

Good boots the first few times I wore them, but after about a month of mostly weekend backyard wear, one of the heel tabs has come off and the other boot is separating between the upper section and the sole.

I do not recommend these boots. The entire front of the boot separated from the sole and both pull tabs ripped off.

While the overall size is "true", I found these to be difficult to take on and off. The issue is that they're insulated (a good thing) with a textured fabric that pulled at my sock as I inserted my foot. Add to that a tall profile and stiff upper, these are not shoes you'll hop into and out of. Finally, the while insulation is great, it reduced the effective width of the shoe just enough to make the shoe feel tight across my instep.

Returning shoes. Stitching at top is coming unraveled on both shoes. This is way they came out of box. Comfortable. But think this pair is defective. Only come in while sizes and I wear a 1/2 size. Shoe is therefore almost too big.

I recently bought a pair of boots that ripped the skin from both my heels the first time I wore them, so I had to revert to my well-worn Bogs. They were so incredibly comfortable, I wondered why I didn't buy a new pair rather than the heel-biters I did buy. So I went shopping for new Bogs!
The Bog Carson boots seemed perfect, the same slip-on convenience, good tread, waterproof and they're not too dissimilar to my old, "functional but not pretty" Bogs. I ordered a size 11 just like my old pair. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't get them on my feet. My old Bogs were always a little loose, good in the winter when you're wearing thicker socks. I could slide my feet into them standing up with not need to use hands. Struggle as I might I couldn't get either the left or right boot of these Carsons on my feet. I grabbed a shoe horn. No joy. I changed socks. No joy. Then I got a leg cramp! Determined, I eventually prevailed, but then discovered that these are quite narrow boots. The contrast to my old Bogs that were perfect on day one, to these that actively refused to be worn couldn't be bigger. I'm still puzzled as to how they managed to make a boot that's so hard to put on. It's probably a combination of the too strong elastic sides and too inflexible rubber. It's a shame, because I like Bogs and really wanted these to work, but back they went. I'm normally a 10.5 or 11 size shoe, so I'm reluctant to go up a size on these.
Your mileage might vary. It could be that after wrestling with these boots that they break in and become the world's most comfortable and easy to slip on boot, but I wasn't prepared to fight leg cramps to find out!
