I purchased these to put on in inclement weather when taking our dog out for walks, etc. They fit well, seem well made and do exactly what they are supposed to do - keep my feet dry. My only minor complaint is that they are a little hard to put on because they are quite tight at the opening, but hopefully, as I use them more, this will loosen up and make it easier to slip them on and off. Once they are on they fit well and are comfortable to walk in.

OK, after 3 weeks and several rain storms in Dallas, I am ready to write this review. These boots are absolutely fabulous for rainy weather or in the garden, and I have received positive comments on their style. I wear a size 10, so I ordered size 10 AND size 11; kept the 10's. Warm and comfy, this boot is absolutely a winner.
I'd also recommend:
Hunter full length boots, not the shorties.

After one year, many rain storms and much work in the garden, I'm ready to give these boots a huge 5 stars. The final convincing act happened this morning. I pulled up a large poblano bush by the roots and got leaf mulch and compost all over my legs and boots. NOTHING got inside. The boot is designed to hug your ankle, and it does that just fine. Another interesting feature is that the boot has a matte finish (not shinny), so you don't have to worry about the boot losing its shine, because it doesn't have one. They look the same today as they did one year ago. Mine are a gray-green color. Why is that no longer available? Yes, I will buy another pair when these wear out or start cracking (they are rubber don't cha know?).

Just the perfect shoe for wet and snowy conditions... especially in the mud. Can easily hose them off when done. Just the perfect work shoe.

I bought these for my husband to work outside since he's ruined several sneakers in the dirt/mud. He has a high instep so they are a little tough to get on but once on they fit nicely and don't slip. He's a happy camper!

You must own this shoe. I am a true 12, wide footed and have a couple of narsty arsy bunions. I fit squarely into a 12. I think people mistake the initial difficulty in getting these on and the nature of the material for a snug fit taken together. The material will mold out to your foot. Sit. Make sure your heel is in the heel cage. Now, press the tip of the toe box. See? Plenty of room. If no room, this is bad for air circulation, which is bad on cold days. As for cold, these are sleek, stylish, yet rugged and masterfully and durably soled shoes that are cozy! Not rain boots for all year. These are fall and winter gear. hey, that rhymed! I think a tall 100% rubbery boot with a nice liner is a must, but a lower cut one that feels snuggly is, too. After that, you should have a leathery waterproof boot and some "snow sneakers" as I call the shorty waterproof winter shoes and a snow boot that is somewhere between mid calf and ankle. You can find all of these and more at the brand I recommend and on this fine site. Incidentally, I have ordered about a dozen shoes in all in anticipation for Fall and Winter. I had a few issues. Customer Service helped a ton. Thanks, Zappos! Check out the Baffin Hunter. Order one whole size down!

This shoe would have been great if it were easier to slip on. It took way too much effort to get it on and off. I'm looking for a shoe for easy on and off.

This shoe isn't suited for quickly putting on and removing. It required considerable effort to insert my foot into the Urban Farmer. Once I did the shoes felt pretty good, however. I sought a shoe I could get into and out of easily, so I could easily transfer between garden and house. I believe this shoe would be great for inclement weather, as the seal around the ankle is tight and nothing will easily enter it.

I returned this shoe. I switched to a men's shoe hoping to get the desired tow box fit Nailed it there :)) However, I felt that the shoe was too tight overall and simply walking around my apartment caused me foot pain. I am going to try two more styles before I give up finish a work shoes with Bogs. Still love Bogs, don't get me wrong, they have another boot that I just love - I just don't want to work in it

Shoe size is correct, but the mouth of the shoe is designed wrong--WAY too small--and you can barely get your foot in there! Bogs shoes look nice, but they do have a lot of issues with quality.

Quality of these shoes has deteriorated over the years. This is the second pair I have owned. The first pair fell apart so Bogs sent me a replacement. The reaplcement wore thru at the sole after light wear over 2 winters. Not good quality. This time Bogs is only offering 30% off a new pair. Seems like a bad deal to me

Sign of a truly good shoe is if they last. I bought these 8 months ago to walk my dog in the morning. This morning, I put them on and there on the top of one shoe, above my big toe joint, was a 2 inch long jagged rip. This has been the third or fourth pair of shoes (from different mfgs) that have fallen apart in less than one year. Is this the new normal for shoes? Look great, feel great, work great....but not for very long.

We are a commercial lawn care company and my guys love Bogs for their comfort. Unfortunately, the two latest pairs ordered split within a week of purchase. We won't be buying Bogs in the future.

Had I known these were called "Urban Farmer"when I bought them at my local shop, I probably wouldn't have. I am an actual farmer and the sole de-laminated from the shoe after about 30 days. Really comfortable and convenient barn shoe, too bad the construction was not up to the task. An expensive experiment it was.

Product completely waterproof. Comfortable shoe. Good traction. I wear in rain & snow, and for yard work. The only downfall is elastic opening is a little small, so slipping shoes on was a little difficult, but has gotten better after breaking in. Fits true to size.

Easy to put on, and easy to wear. Thus far I've used them dog walking and shoveling snow. They've kept my feet warm and dry and me upright.

This is my husband's 2nd pair of Urban Farmers. He absolutely loves them. He wore his first pair for nearly 10 years...doing yard work, taking the dog out for exercise, working on the car, camping, gardening, even wearing to the office during wet/sloppy weather. He says they are very comfortable and easy to slip in and out of. They are black and fairly plain/unobtrusive, so they are not real noticeable if he decides to wear them with dress clothes on bad weather days. They are a lot less clunky than boots and he doesn't feel that he has to bring another set of shoes to change into at the office. If they get dirty out in the garden or at the campsite, he just hoses them off. Even though his old ones were still wearable and waterproof after all of those years, the tread had finally worn off, making things kind of slippery underfoot when walking on our hilly property. I bought him a new pair for Christmas and he was thrilled!

Great fit, and super comfortable to throw on. Compared to my Tillamook Bay shoes they fit a little more snug, though not an issue.

I ordered these boots Christmas night and got them on the 30th !! talk about being fast. Today is the 31st and it is still wet here in the Mid Atlantic area so I slipped these on. Wore them all day while mulching the flower beds and working the property. They kept my feet warm and dry the whole day. I bought them to wear in leu of my heavier work boot that have Vibram soles and always get a heavy mud buildup. these boots barely even attracted any mud at all. they are defiantly the right boot for everyday use around my property wet or dry. For those people who complained about they are hard to get on, it is obvious your not a country person. The neck of the shoe is small but that is by design to keep out unwanted debris inside the boot. To put them on turn the boot sideways so the toe points in, insert you foot without folding the material over then put your finger or a boot hook through the loop at the heel and as you pull back and up they pop right on. To take them off just grab the heal of the boot and push down and off or buy yourself a boot jack. Remember these are made of rubber and neoprene so they will not last for ever as the sun and other elements ages these materials so be ready to replace them in 3-4 years, sooner if you wear everyday all day.
