I have had these shoes for a little over two years now. Once broken in, they have been the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. If I could get them re-soled, I could probably wear them for another two years. The shoe itself is holding together wonderfully. The soles have just worn out. The one issue I have had with them (and the reason for the 4 stars) is the shoe laces wear out after about 8-10 months. However I called the company and they replaced them free of charge the first time. The second set of laces have now totally worn out. In closing, these shoes ultimately were a really good shoe. They hold together great. The soles wear out after 1.5 to 2 years which is normal. The laces wear out after 8-10 months. 4 stars.

This were a birthday present for my son, so I'll pass on his comments. The original order was for a size 9.5 (his usual size) which he exchanged for a 9. He also said they were very stiff right out of the box; however, after an hour or so they felt fine. He does love the style!

I like the shoe, not as goofy looking as the typical Merril. The medium width was good for my slightly wide foot. They are still brand new, so still breaking them in.

This is a very comfortable shoe to me, anyway. Light in weight, flexible, and reasonably supportive. Initially it felt a bit too narrow, but that has lessened with break-in. As regards style, well, the flat-ish toes always remind me of clown shoes for some reason. They aren't bulbous or anything, but the shape sort of stands out in my view. Overall: it's a comfy shoe. Would I buy it again? Possibly.

I have to Echo another persons review that "I love this shoe. It is very comfortable and goes well with jeans or khakis. The only issue I have had is that after less than two months of wear, the sole has began to tear away from the shoe. I strictly wear them only for work (desk job) and casual." Zappos happily took them back and gave me a refund. I'd seriously hesitate to buy this shoe if I saw 2 reviews that mention sole separation.

These are comfortable shoes after they are broken in a bit. However for a little more you can find similar looking Clarks UnRavel that are so much more comfortable. If it was not for the more comfortable Clarks I would buy these shoes again. And, of course, I will always buy from Zappos.

I've worn Merrell's for many years. Always experienced outstanding fit, comfort and quality. The pair of Realm Lace that I just bought didn't disappoint in fit and the quality appears to be what I expect from Merrell. My only concern is the leather seems much thinner and a lot stiffer than previous purchases. These will require some time to break in where every other pair I've ever bought required zero break in. I've been wearing them for a couple weeks now and still not even close to being broken in. I normally would order a brown and black pair of lace ups and a pair of slip on. I bought the Espresso lace up first and at this point plan to hold off on the others for a bit longer.

I definitely like these shoes. They're comfortable and look good with jeans. I like the subtle orange in the threading and sole...gives them just a bit of a cool style without being too garish. I've received a number of compliments about them.

Great looking casual shoe! Fit is great and they've held up well to daily wear. My only complaint is the breath ability. I usually don't have issues with sweaty or clammy feet but these shoes don't breath well at all. It was fine during the summer but now that the weather is getting colder I notice my feet getting cold from the perspiration caused by the shoes. May need to go buy a new pair of shoes for the winter.

They fit me like a glove and they have good arch and metatarsal support. The style is a little clunky but I'm an old guy and that's not as important to me today as it used to be. The quality of the material and general construction of the shoe seem just 'okay'. I'm not a shoe expert but I think the price is a little high for what you get. But I'll buy another pair of this brand when needed, though, just because of the good fit.

Nice shoe and I've always been pleased with Merrell. They do require a little breaking in and don't seem very flexible at first. They could make a better shoe lace and they do not seem to last very long.

I really like Merrell shoes but the back of these shoes absolutely destroyed my ankles --- may be specific to me but had to actually give them away after trying various ways to fix the problem

Good looking right out of the box, but leather does not wear well. I think leather is stiff and a bit thin. I bought these as work shoes, but they really are more dress shoes.

Purchased a 7.5(my usual size) but after trying them on and walking in them they were not stretching out to a comfortable fit. I returned them and purchased. They were great the first couple of times of wearing them and then they stuttered to really loosen up so much I could almost walk out the them. There was no middle ground for this shoe. I am donating to a shelter.

I wear Merrell Moabs a lot so I thought I would try this model. The heel seemed a bit low, giving a clunky feel to this shoe. I am returning them.

These shoes have a handsome style, however, out of the box I found them to be stiff and pretty ridged; I also found my heels slipping up and down a lot within the shoes, even when the shoes were tied tightly. This was the first pair of Merrells that I have ordered and I was disappointed, they did not provide the comfort that I have experienced and have come to expect with other brands that I bought of comparable price and own, such as Clarks, Eccos, or Rockports. I will be returning them today.

I have owned these shoes for two months and the front sole has already become unstitched and is coming off. For the price, I expected a better quality.

I have blisters on my heels. I walk quite a bit while at work. I wore these one day and now have painful blisters on my heels
