At 57 with rheumatoid arthritis, plantar fasciitis, spurs and blah, blah, blah, it finally dawned on me that high-heeled, pointed toe boots were out and that I presented a danger to the public in anything other than a shoe with training wheels even while using my dashing leopard cane. However, I REFUSED to wear my Grandma's deep toe-box, hideously clunky shoe. Heck, she refused to wear them over 30 yrs ago and would hide them from us. Smart lady. I knew if I had any chance at luck it would be Zappo's. Did I fail to mention I also have a high instep and wide foot? Well, I came across the Aravon Mona and figured it would look ok with tights for skirts and fun socks with jeans. Upon a little more research, I discovered the shoe was made specifically for some of my issues. On a fixed income, they certainly dented ny budget, but with Zappos policy thought I'd give it a try. I ordered my normal 8-1/2 ww and two days later was in nirvana. I ended up replacing 1/2 size up just in case I wanted to wear really thick socks but think I probably would have been fine staying with the originals. I think I've forgotten what it felt like to wear shoes this well made. The toe box is perfect, no pinching but not so much room my foot is swimming. The included support is heavenly. It really helps align both feet properly which in turn aligns knees, hips, back etc. It hits the arch perfectly. The heel to platform ratio is just right for keeping my heel the little bit elevated that is needed. I walked 4 hours in the mall yesterday and can't remember the last time I did that with anything resembling comfort. I'm actually looking forward to holiday shopping this year. And, yes, it looked smashing with my leopard cane. I actually am making a wish list for Aravon shoes, boots and sandals. Santa, you reading this?

I have bad feet, lost the fat on the ball of the foot. This brand and these shoes are fantastic. I can stand at work, wearing heels, all day long.

I LOVE these! They are a little more taupe than brown, but that's ok by me. My orthodics slide right in (thank god) and I have been looking for a shoe I could wear with a dress with the orthodics. This has been a battle, everything is so big and clunky. These are great, feminine, and the velcro on the side has just enough give to make up for the two different sized orthodics I have (I hate my feet, I hate my feet). Anyway...I slid these on upon arrival at work, and wore them the rest of the day. Super comfy, great style, turned around and bought them in black the next day, with the same result. No need to break them in, was just put on and go! :)

These shoes are extremely comfortable! I wore them traveling in Europe, when I work as a waitress, and for normal daily wear. They did, however, break down around the heel and stretch out. I contacted Zappos and they exchanged my favorite shoe for a smaller size, happily I may add. I am now a month in to wearing my second pair. The price is steep, but the comfort makes up for it!

Even though they were my size, I felt they were too short. Also, the leather was very stiff, not soft compared to the Munro brand that I favor. Even though one of the straps is adjustable, the second strap is not, and it was very loose on my foot. I am returning these shoes.

These are the best shoes ever. Super comfortable and stylish for business. This is my second pair (bought in 2015 and still wearing for 5 years)and I’ll keep on ordering them.

Nice and roomy in toe box, both width and height. They are a bit wide in the heel for me, but I have narrow heels so I'm used to that. They have good support and my plantar fasciitis didn't bother me at all today-huge relief there. I like the firmer foot bed as memory foam doesn't give me enough support. I have a desk job, but wore them around the house a day before wearing to work. They feel like a cross between JBU and Dansko brands. I will likely buy another pair soon.

I’ve worn Aravon before. I normally buy Dansko so the fit reminds me of the Dansko firmness. It’s very similar but I wanted more of an office shoe. I can wear it with or without socks and it’s still comfortable. It’s a pretty design with a graceful looking heel.

Love the look, and the style. Very sad that I had to send back. I have a pair of Aravon shoes, but this style is sized about 1/2 size larger. Hoping the next size down is back in stock soon!

Very comfortable! Wore 1st time, when I was standing for a couple of hours, with no problems!

These are the most comfortable shoes I wear and I wear them with everything - skirts and pants. I do a fair amount of walking for my job and these offer great support so my feet are not tired at the end of the day.

This is a wonderful shoe that does a LOT of things really well! Great heel height, stable, and cute. Sadly, I ordered the D width in my size--can't keep it on my heel even after adjusting the Velcro strap. Wish I could keep them but can't.

I am so impressed how fast the arrived. I ordered them for a special event and they arrived at least two weeks before, very comfortable shoe n looks great as a dress shoe!

I just received these (one day shipping) and am thrilled with them. I wear a 7-7½WW, ordered in the 7½. They felt a little roomy, but included were two inserts. When I put those in, perfection! So far, extremely comfortable and nice looking. I am used to having to wear comfort shoes because of my duck feet, but honestly, these look very nice. I am a mature woman, less concerned with fashion than with comfort, though. I have added Aragon to my very narrow list of go-to shoes as of now! My experiences with Zappos over several years have been nothing but positive. I am thankful to have found a place to order shoes because I sure cannot shop in most shoe stores.

purchased these shoes based on reviews I read regarding how comfortable these shoes are. I too have foot issues and need shoes with a wide toe box. These shoes were very accurately rated and I find them to be comfortable for my feet - one of which has a bunionette. They are nice looking and I'm happy I got them.

I love these shoes! I wear an 8W and they are plenty wide in the toe box. They also have straps to keep them snug on my feet - no squeezing, slipping or blisters anywhere! Amazing!

This shoe is a little too clunky for me. I purchased it to wear for a dressy occasion. I wanted something with a low heel I could dance in that would hold my custom orthotic. One of the reviewers said it was dressy enough to be worn with a dress. However, I don’t really consider this a dress shoe. I was hoping the two tone upper would dress it up some but it didn’t. These shoes would look great with a pair of pants; unfortunately I have several black shoes I can wear with pants so I will be returning these. I have to admit this shoe is very well made and true to size. They have excellent arch support for those who do not have custom orthotics. The shoe is extremely comfortable right out of the box. I really wish it was a little dressier.

These are great looking and fitting shoes and I would definitely buy them again. This is my first Aravon shoe. I wear size 11M, have custom orthotics and have scars on the insides of my feet from bunion surgery 20 years ago. My two toes adjacent to my big toe are longer than my big toe. So when I search for shoes that are comfortable, don't rub on my elongated toes or bunions and are cute, there is a lot of criteria the shoe must meet. As I said I ordered this in black size 11M and it fits just right. There is ample toe space and none of my toes were squeezed. The cut on the side does not come near my bunion scars and there is plenty of back coverage to wear if you wear orthotics, your heal will not slip out. The leather has a lovely slight shimmer to it. These shoes are dressy enough to easily wear with a business suit, or dress slacks or some casual pants. The snake skin like texture around the side and on the closure which goes around the top of your foot lends interest and style to this shoe. I have worn a lot of Clarks in the past and believe this shoe is better made than the average or artisian Clarks.

First: This is, first and foremost, a beautiful shoe! The pictures here at Zappos really don't do this shoe justice. Second: Fit! Wow! I've got hard-to-fit feet (7.5, WW, neuropathy problems) and am on my feet/moving all day. After work, I often have places to go and people to see. I need shoes that will allow me to do all that. So I've accepted that I have to live my life in flat or near-flat shoes. There are wonderful choices in such shoes, certainly, but occasionally one wants at least a bit of a heel, right? Still: My shoes must be comfortable because I'm past the place in life where I'm willing to put up with uncomfortable shoes for the sake of fashion. These shoes are a dream. I put them on and they felt immediately and exceedingly comfortable. I wore them to work today, to have coffee with a friend afterward and then for a quick trip through the grocery store before coming home -- and I could have continued wearing them! Though they cost more than I usually spend for shoes, they're so worth it. I've definitely found my new favorite work shoes and returned today to buy another pair. (I'm totally paranoid about them being discontinued. You know how that happens to our favorite items to wear...including shoes!)

I like the funky style of this shoe, and the rounded toe box looked comfortable. But with 8.5W (I usually wear 8.5M, but have been trying W lately for my bunions), my toes hit the front of the shoe and I could tell it would be a problem. Also the back of the shoe gapped a good 1/2 inch.

I love these shoes! I have been wearing Aravon Mayas for years with great comfort and modest style. I decided to try the Mona style and it seems a bit more dressy and more modern than the traditional Mary Jane look of my other shoe. The local shoe repair shop owner told me that the Aravon shoes are the best looking and healthiest to wear of any all around shoes she has ever seen. This black Mona has a nice textural embellishment that makes them interesting. I thought the 10 M felt a bit stiff almost tight across my arthritic metatarsals, so tried the 10W which were longer in the foot and the straps. They were way too big and my foot slopped around in them. I just wore the 10M around my house a couple days with thicker socks and now when I wear them out to a dressy event at night, they feel great for a very long time. I also have orthopedic problems with my feet, hips and spine. I can take out the footbeds on these and put my orthotics in. They are just great shoes!

These are super comfy shoes. Wore them all day - out of the box. They felt a bit wide, and my feet are wide so something to keep in mind. The velcro does not extend far enough for the strap, so I feel like eventually the strap will get a bit dog eared.

These are cute shoes, but when I have them on, I ride forward. Also the velcro strap doesn't stay closed. I am unhappy with this shoe overall.

This is a great semi-dress shoe for those who want comfort as well as fashion. These shoes are not quite as cushioned as some Aravons, which are usually great on that score. But they are really nice, and the cross-strap style allows some adjustment on how they fit. I have a narrow foot, and I still need a little extra sole to fill up the space, but the generous toe-box makes them comfortable for a dress shoe.
