I only exercise inside & had these for only one year & the glue along the soles wasn't very good. It felt a little weird & then a piece came off when I was working out today. The fabric top didn't seem to wear well either... Like I was slipping around inside my shoe as time went on, as if the fabric was wearing out. And it looked puckered after awhile.

They are cute and do have nice features so I can see where the positive reviews came from, but these do NOT fit my feet AT ALL. The 7 fits everywhere except the length is too short, but the 7.5 is too wide everywhere while still somehow managing to rub my toes really uncomfortably. Bummer.

Not the Ryka shoe I was expecting. Too short by an inch and the laces would be too long to deal with in the water. Ryka needs competition in the water shoe department.

Overall the Hydro Sport Training Shoe works fine and is comfortable...but...I HATE the shoe laces. The laces don't tighten up well, they don't stay tied, and they're too long. I miss the old style from 2 or 3 years ago when the laces were more elastic, they didn't have to be tied, all you had to do was tighten the grommet piece. Once in awhile we need to take our shoes off during water aerobics and theses new shoes are a pain to get off and back on during a class. The old style worked great, always stayed snug on my feet. And because they won't stayed tied or out of the way, I have tripped a couple of times on these shoe laces. Hopefully I don't hurt myself!! I have been using Ryka water shoes for many years and they usually last me 2 or 3 years, but I don't know that I will want to use this pair for that long.

Not nearly as good a water aerobic shoe as the older style. No support, too flexible, too short. It may be alright for brief jumping around in a pool, but not for longer exercises or for walking in the surf. I wanted a closed shoe with support and drainage, but I guess I will order the Newport H2 as it seems to be the most supportive, cushioned and comfortable.

They were great while they lasted but after very little wear, the sole separated from the footbed.

Has a toe drop (heel is higher than toe). This is bad for your feet. This made them extremely uncomfortable & I useable.

Bought these less than a month ago and the heel already has a hole. Really expected them to last a little longer with the price point being what it is. They're already unusable.

I bought this shoe 3 weeks ago. The soles have little traction on the tiled portion of the pool lanes. My feet go out from under me whenever my shoes hit the tile lane markers. I did not experience slipping in my Land's End water shoes.

These shoes take in all the sand n shells i was trying to avoid with open shoes. Also when wet they rub and cause blisters! Terrible water shoes!!!

I've never had an issue with Zappos. I ordered 4 pairs. Three came all in the brand boxes at one time. One pair came a week later in a plain brown shoe box and were the wrong size.

The sizing is off on all Ryka shoes. I can't wear them anymore. I always wear a size 6 (too small) and 6.5 is too big. 1

WOW these were cheaper than the regular Ryka's hydro's I buy. There's a reason for $10 less, $60 cost I bought a shoe that's not wearable. I slide around there's no lateral support what a waste of money this is not the regular Ryka. If you have worn and loved the original make sure you buy the original. I'm so angry with myself for not noticing the difference. There are subtle differences get to know them before you put them on and teach in them and wonder what happened to your balance.

These shoes were absolutely AWFUL! I used them for a water hike, and both of my big toes are black and blue, and I'll probably lose the nail on my right big toe. I didn't feel the pain or see the damage until I took the shoes off, but there's no missing the damage now! Definitely DO NOT recommend!

Exchanging these because mesh area is uncomfortable (scratchy and too loose) in the water. This made them less supportive than past shoes. They also seemed slippery on the pool bottom. Also, I wish RYKA would go back to elastic ties!! I've owned at least 5 pairs of RYKA water shoes through the years. I usually like their support.

What happened to the elastic ties? When these shoelaces get wet it's a tug of war trying to get them untied and to these shoes off. I've been wearing Ryka water shoes for years but when I got my new ones you replaced the elastic ties with shoelaces. HORRIBLE change. Thank goodness I didn't throw out my worn out shoes before the new ones came and I put the old elastic laces on my new products. I would purchase the old ties if possible. I should have sent the shoes back.

Horrible. Based on other review, I thought these would be great for water aerobics. I have plantar fasciitis and a bad knee. I had to take them mid class because my knee and foot hurt worse. If I could return them I would.

I love Ryka's water shoes...except this new one. It lacks the padding found in former models of this shoe. The mesh is harsh on your skin and for me would cause blisters. I hope Ryka makes the style with more padding/cushioning all over, tongue included... similar to the original Hydro Sport water sneaker which I use regularly and love. I have encouraged women in my aquacise group to purchase Ryka water sneakers for years. I would not recommend this model. Please go back to manufacturing the comfy, but support filled style you were making.

I do not like them at all. I loved the previous ones with no ties. The ties come undone in the water, and I liked it better when you could slip them on and off. I'm back to wearing my old ones. Several people had ordered the earlier style, but after seeing the new ones, they don't want them either. I do Water Aerobics everyday, and need a better water shoe. 0 stars.

This shoe was awful. The long shoestrings come untied during the workout even if I double tie them. The support is good, and I like the look. I would never buy this shoe again, and probably won't wear them for my water aerobics. The foot pad at the bottom has already detached and moves around during the work out. Don't buy this shoe. Pick something with support and either Velcro or elastic. I am totally disappointed. What a waste.
I'd also recommend:
This shoe was awful. Shoe strings come untied all the time during the workout and the foot pad is already lifting off the base of the shoe. Just awful. The only good thing I can say is that it give good support to the foot. A big mistake to buy this pair. I thought it was a good name because I also saw it the H2O catalogue.
