I found as did other reviewers that the shoes untied in the water. I double knotted the laces above the slip lock but the slip lock slipped during water exercises and I had to stop to adjust the shoe as it felt as if it might fall off. A friend with the same model shoe suggested that I put the laces under the section that goes across the shoe to keep the lace more snug. I will try that next time.

I loved the colors and the unique shoe closure. It was a comfortable shoe and I was kinda sad I didn't think I could make them work. I usually wear Brooks athletic shoes and the fit was very similar, but my feet require the thicker sole of the Brooks. I have plantar fasciitis that comes and goes and have had surgery for neuromas on both feet so I live in the athletic shoes and am not a runner. I also wondered about the cut-outs on the sole that provided some additional cushion for the heel. They seemed to go all the way to the footbed and I wondered if my feet would stay dry on wet days. Sadly, I am returning them.

I really want to love this shoe! However the shoelace design is less than optimal. All the pictures show the shoelace tucked into the shoe. This seems like it's not going to be the most comfortable. Really a ridiculous design.

So comfy and work really well in the pool BUT the laces are way to long and the sneaker take forever to air dry. I can’t wear them the next day, they are too damp to put on.

These water shoes felt larger and wider than Ryka Hydros I have purchased in the past. I feel that Rykas are a well-made shoe and are a good, substantial choice for water sports. These particular ones did not fit me and were returned. I wear a 9.5M in most shoes. My foot is on the narrow side.

I really wish this came in wide widths. I think I am going to have to resign myself to the fact that my foot is wide width now and I just can't wear a normal shoe anymore. I really loved the drawstring, it made the shoe adjustable, but still easy to put on. They are very light weight. I don't know about the performance, but they look like they are designed well for water-play. I thought they were very cute as well, loved the black and white. Wish I could keep.

They were comfortable until I started walking in them then my toe would get caught on the fabric. I couldn't imagine a long trip in these with wet feet.

I am a Ryka devotee, wearing nothing else on my size 5AA feet for more than 15 years. This is the first pair that disappointed. I bought them to walk in the rain, and I couldn't keep my footing. My feet hurt after walking only a few blocks. The loop that the shoelace goes through on the top of the foot broke at the first wearing, and while a minor thing, it just added to the frustration. Customer support was fantastic, and I'm hoping this was just a bad pair. Sigh.

I got this shoe several months ago and still every time I wear it the back of my heel is rubbed raw by the collar of the shoe. I am very disappointed by the way it rubs on my heel. This is my 4th generation of shoes from you and I'd gladly take any of the previous ones over this one.

Attractive show but probably not enough support for the high impact dance aerobics I do. I'm going to use them but would not buy another pair like them.

I thought these might be a good option as a New Orleans' summertime walking shoe, with it's great ventilation. Nope. Silly me. Water shoes just aren't made as sturdy as regular tennies. Not enough support for regular walking, although I imagine they'd be ok in the water. Sadly, I have to return 'em.

A lovely shoe with a good fit except for my very high arch. The arch supports were nowhere near high enough for me. Too bad.

Tried a nine 1/2 (my size) and toes touched the top of the shoe. Then ordered a 10 and toes were semi okay, but way too much width and buckling of shoe fabric. when I bent my foot. Really just a bad fit all around.

I don't like the laced shoes at all. No matter what I do during the classes they untie. I so preferred your slip-on water shoes. Wish you would consider making again.

I wore my new water shoes for the first time yesterday. I loved the fit and support, but they are a dangerous shoe! I slipped on hot tub step and missed two more steps, embarrassing. Then when taking my shower, I stepped to the dryer area of shower and did the splits (luckily not all the way down. The tread is not made for water! Oops a minor but very important detail. These are dangerous shoes and I am so so disappointed that I spent so much money for. I'm back to my Merrill water shoes, 5 years old but no slipping! Rylan get your act together!

This brand is known for being great but I know three women now who all say this particular color of the shoe just doesn’t last as long as previously owned Rykas. I feel mine are losing traction already. Super bummer.

I had my first pair for years they very good. I bought a pair last year and the inside is coming apart and they don't stay tight on my foot. I'm not happy with these you can tell the quality is not there like they used to be!!

The way the fabric connected to the toe means that the tip of your toe is getting touched all the time and rubbed. I could see it forming a blister very quickly

I have severe pronation issues, and this shoe offers no support to protect my feet to do standing and jumping exercises in a pool. The materials and shoe laces are fine. I would need a water shoe that is built for stability, meaning there is actual material built up under the arch to support the arch to walk and move. Currently, the Brooks Addiction design is what I wear plus a custom orthotic with anti pronation plates added on. In order to wear a water shoe without an orthotic I need the shoe to offer much more stability. I appreciate being able to try and return easily. I did find they run a half size bigger than my Brooks, so I would need to wear my measured size 9 rather than the 9.5 that I ordered. It would be awesome to see anew shoe design that would help me more.

I like the old version slip on much better for water aerobics . The tongue and laces are a pain to deal with. Please bring back the discontinued version!

I would love to give these shoes a good review and I started out loving them. But after having them for three months and wearing them in the pool three to four times a week the lining is completely coming out. You cannot wear with out the lining it would rub against your foot. I would not recommend if you are someone who takes pool classes several times a week.

I have taught aqua fitness for over 25 years and have always purchased Ryka footwear. I have been very satisfied, but the shoe I just purchased, the Hydrosport Water Shoe, I would NOT recommend. It is a great fitting shoe, supportive and looks nice - dries nicely and overall is typically a great Ryka shoe. However, I find the tread to be SUPER SLIPPERY! I teach in and out of the pool, mostly on the deck and if the deck is wet (which is ALWAYS is) this shoe is very slippery. It is also very slippery in the pool. I'm sorry to say I will not be able to wear this shoe anymore and will go back to my old shoes until I teach enough classes to buy another style.
