This was my second pair of these shoes, which I wear at least 3x/week in the pool. This one was just as comfortable as the first, however is starting to peel at the front of the shoe much sooner than the previous pair.

I bought these shoe because of the arch support. I have to say that there is very little support for arches if you are used to custom Orthodics. I wanted these for beach shoes. I bought a pair of Dr Scholls arch supports at Walmart and used them in the shoes. This provided more support and I walked the beach fairly comfortably. They drain the water and sand and dry well. So yeah, I recommend them for beach shoes but be aware that you might have to improve the support in the arches somehow.

True to size, moderate support

Color is nice and they are comfortable. Great for a boat ride. Second pair of these. First pair purchased two years ago. For main use in the Y pool, so well chlorinated. Worn occasionally but after sitting in my locker (after they dried) for the past 5 months of Covid, when I put them on the other day the lining started shredding. I guess the chlorine got to them. I will be rinsing this pair thoroughly after each use with fresh water to try and prolong the wear, which only averages 4-5 times a month. I had a leather pair of pool sneakers that lasted 8 years before they got stiff. Lining was never a problem. We’ll see if the rinsing helps.

This is at least my 2nd or 3rd pair of these water aerobics shoes. I am a water aerobics instructor and these provide good support and foot protection, especially for shallow water aerobics classes. I hear they’re good for teaching from the pool deck too. My only complaint is the laces are too long so I have to tuck them in. They run true to size for Ryka fitness shoes.

Feels a little wide and long in the toe box. I will probably try a half size smaller to see if they fit better. The easy lace clip is great- esp. for a water shoe. Padded collar around the heel feels good and should help with narrower heels, but again, I think I need a smaller size.

Too bad these don't come in Wide. I went up a half size because I normally wear a wide, and that made the width tolerable. I have high arches, and had to add arch supports. The shoes work well for water aerobics, as long as you are in the pool on the cement. If you are standing on one of the tiled stripes, watch out! They are extremely slippery there. Overall it was better wearing them for water aerobics than going barefoot.

These feel very comfortable and supportive. They look nice too. Too bad I have to wait until June to try them out in the pool. They'll be an upgrade from my last water aerobics shoes. I think they are true to size. I'm between sizes, so it depends on the brand and cut whether 8.5 or 9 is best for me. Since these are my first Rykas, I ordered both sizes and am keeping the 9s.
