FINALLY! A shoe that works for Jazzercise: just the right amount of support on the sides for lateral movement, cushion for impact, and smoothness for gliding (but enough traction not to slip). THANK YOU, ZAPPOS, for your return policy--you made it work for me!

At last I have found my perfect Zumba shoe! This has the cushiony support of a running shoe inside and the spin-and-pivot-ability of a dance sneaker on its sole. I've been doing dance fitness (Zumba, MixxedFit) for years and found dance sneakers (Bloch, Capezio, Nike to name a few) absolutely brutal for high impact dance moves because of their lack of cushioning . I longed for the comfort of my running shoes but knew they would not work for the spins and pivots of dance fitness. This shoe has the best of both worlds - impact cushioning like a running shoe with an excellent dance sneaker sole. My feet and my knees are both happy.

I have normal arches and regular width. This shoe runs on the small side for length as well as width. I wound up getting a wide width, but feel like I could have used an extra wide on this one. I also went up a half inch on length. I love the two pivot points. It makes zumba moves even easier. Not as much cushion in the sole as the NB1012.

I walk three miles in my neighborhood every morning and go to zumba class once a week. I bought these shoes specifically for both of those activities, as previously I had been wearing a pair of old trail runners. I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8; I purchased the 8 and the fit is fine. The shoes are lightweight, offer more cushioning than I have experienced with other shoes. I've been wearing these for about three weeks and have not experienced any blistering, soreness, or other effects that often occur when breaking in shoes. So far I am glad I bought these shoes and they are serving their intended purpose. The only thing I dislike about the shoes is the shocking neon pink shoelaces. The tongue is attached on one side as other reviewers have said, but this is not problematic and hardly noticeable.

Love these shoes! I wear them to cross train and they are perfect! My first consideration is comfort. They fit my foot like a glove, have a bit of arch support and are very comfortable. And they are cute!

I have high arches and these have been great without the need of orthotic inserts. I use them for cardio kick boxing and zumba. They are just what I have been looking for!

I had to try 3 different sizes of these shoes before I got a good fit. I am a true normal width 8 1/2. These shoes run very narrow and I highly recommend to get a 8 1/2 wide as the example. The 9 normal width was too narrow as well and too big. I have used these for Zumba and other high intense dance classes. They are magic on the dance floor. Enjoy.

I read other people's reviews about this shoe and ordered it 1/2 size larger. They ended up being too large and I had to send them back. They were a tiny bit snug in the toe box with my normal size, but with thin socks fit perfectly. I like the cushy sole for walking distances.

by far the best fitting dance sneaker I've tried (so far, capezio rockit, ryka studio D and ryka rhythmic). I'm normally a 6.5 to 7, went with a 7. I have low arches but not flat, and standard medium width. These are close fitting, but not tight, feel very cushioned and comfortable. My only issue is the pivot points don't feel slippery enough on wood or vinyl dance studio floors. I'm hoping the pivot points will wear down a bit as I otherwise love these. All the dance trainers are not attractive, but these are on the nicer side of the range.

I was looking for dance sneakers that didn't have a split sole. These interested me because reviewers said they had good arch support. The shoes arrived and yes, they have good arch support. They also look good. But the sizing is crazy! I normally wear a 10.5 B. Based on other reviews, I ordered these in an 11 D. The width was good but the shoes were still too short. They aren't made in an 11.5, so I'm sending them back for a refund. By the way, I don't think we should have to pay almost a ton for shoes that don't have a speck of leather or real stitching.
I'd also recommend:
No idea. It's really hard finding shoes in size 10.5.

I ALWAYS buy New Balance, and I always buy same size, same width. But not this time! I don't know about every size running small, but 10D felt like 9A. My toe was touching the end and I could feel the bones in my foot kind of rubbing together. Good looking shoe if you like bright color, though.

After researching reviews, bought these specifically for Zumba (4-5 times a week, super high-intensity classes). (Got the Wide after reading reviews.) Loved them at first - so much so that I bought a second pair, as favorite styles of mine tend to be discontinued. After two weeks, however, my feelings have changed. I'm noticing strange pain in my hips and feet, which went away when I wore my old favorites - a pair of Ryky Studio Ds (which, of course, are discontinued). These 867s are perfect in theory, but just don't offer true support. Back to the drawing board.
I'd also recommend:
Ryka (if they'd bring back Studio D)

Bought this because there are so few dance sneakers out there that come in wide. I've always had great luck with NB, but after putting the 10D to the test in 3 Jazzercise classes hoping each time it would get better, it just never did. They aren't wide enough even though other NB wides are plenty wide for me. They have an unusual support system initially feeling very comfy, but not really being able to take high impact without hurting my arches and the balls of my feet. I really wanted to love these, but my running shoes are more comfortable even though I don't get the lateral stability they provided or the better pivoting action.

I bought these in hopes that they would work for Zumba. Unfortunately, even though they are marked as wide, they seem to run quite narrow. They also seem a little flimsy for the money. I do like the bright colors, but they are going back and I will try again.

Listen to all the reviews - order a half size bigger and wide width, you will love these shoes - right out of the box. Don't think you can get by with standard width - they run narrow, no doubt about it!! I've been zumba-ing for about 4 years. I used to wear the NB Minimus shoes, because I loved the light weight, but then I felt I needed a true dance shoe for the extra support and spin spot. I switched to Reya for my last pair of dance shoes. I was super excited to see this New Balance light weight dance shoe. The Reyas feel like cement blocks in comparison to these! Can't wait for my next class. Get these shoes! You won't be sorry!

These were very comfortable! I wish they had them in my size. Ordered a 7, hoping they would fit, and they didn't.

The shoe is very nice and I was excited to receive them. I ordered the Wide width and it was still to tight. Unfortunately the doesn't come in an WW width or I would order it.

Great shoes for Zumba! Recommendation by other reviewers to get the wide was correct, and I don't usually wear a wide. These shoes are so light and comfortable, but have necessary support.

Right out of the box, some of the most comfortable shoes ever. Was told by the New Balance company that this shoe was now used for Zumba and other dance exercises and I see why!

I suffer from planter fasciitis; but refuse to give up Zumba. This is the only dance shoe I have found with the high arch support I need. At suggestions on New Balance web page, I purchased a size larger than I usually wear and glad I did. My favorite shoe ever!

I have found my perfect shoe for ZUMBA and no guessing on size. I wear an 8D in other NB shoes and that is what I ordered for this one. Comfy right out of the box and at the gym. Unfortunately out of stock in my size in any color but I'll wait for more!

I have arthritis in one foot and these shoes (made for Zumba) are actually the best because of the added padding at the pivot point. The sole seems to mold itself to my feet. I am buying a second pair! They do run snug and I have normal shape feet. Went half a size up.

Love NB for walking, running and just casual wear. I 'm so glad to have found these for Zumba. I have a wide foot and finding shoes to fit is tough. I love the padding and arch support. So far the pivot point is great, even when it is humid and the floor is sticky. I ordered my usual NB size (8D) and it was a perfect fit.

This was exactly what I needed. Comfortable shoe, great quality. Fits super. I don't care if it's a girls shoe. Now it's mine!
