My husband has hammer toe foot problems and he loves these shoes. Roomy toe box, lightweight, well made and look great.

I really like the fit and comfort of these shoes. I've been using them when we go skiing. The only thing that I would change is the position of the last two sets of open hooks. The top set is harder to lace because it is set back further. But otherwise this is a great pair of shoes.

I ordered these boots from Zappos and was very happy with how quick they came to me. I tried them on and they felt great. I wore them to work and I work on concrete eight hours a day, my feet felt great at the end. I will be getting more of these boots.

Most comfortable shoe in years. A little hard to tie with the last "hook/eye" slightly out of view for me (78 years old).

Great work shoe for me. Had to order one size up. So happy I read the other reviews. Swapped out the insoles and this is one comfortable shoe with zero break in time.

This is a comfortable, nice looking shoe. The price seems a little high but they are well built. The mid weight socks I have seem almost too heavy at first, is why I said the width was a bit more narrow than perfect.

These boots are really comfortable. I have yet to test them during the sloppy slushy mess of winter. They are water proof,I am a volunteer fire fighter and they are great for doing work around the fire house, when sneakers won't do the trick.

These are a comfortable boot. Good support, light weight and zero break in needed. These boots are worn for outdoors work everyday. A great value for the money.

Wide enough and long enough without looking or feeling clunky...which is often the problem when getting the larger sizes of hiking boots. Great fit and great feel.

I ordered a pair of New Balance Gortex hiking shoes for my husband. He decided he needed the next size up and I returned them. Zappos very generously sent them via overnight shipping at no charge and they arrived the next day.

Comfortable, stylish. I'm fond of the height of the boot and comfort provided. I've been trooping all over Scotland in them. The insoles are pretty cheap and worthless so I'll likely race them when I get back home but I like these boots overall.

I purchased a pair of 4E NB MW1569 Hiking Shoes. The were expensive, but promptly arrived in good order. I appreciate the service and I found the shoes to be very comfortable and indeed waterproof as I climbed about the glens of the Scot highlands, sometimes in driving rain storms.

I own a Landscape and Lawn Maintenance Company. On average I walk over 5 miles a day. I spent a lot of money on trying to find the right boot for my line of work. I had reverted back to wearing NB All Terrain running shoes due to foot injuries caused by other boots. This boot has been the first to meet all of my needs. They have kept my feet dry and were comfortable right out of the box. I mow a lot of hills and have yet to slip! I do find that they run about one size small. Zappos got them to me the next day. In my opinion this is a great boot!

I was pleased when I found the New Balance MW1569 hikers carried by Zappos. I need wide shoes and hikers, per foot doctor's orders, and wide hikers are hard to find. Having had good results with wide NB athletic shoes, I decided to give these hikers a try. My hikes are fairly short, between four and ten miles, but the trails are rocky in places and sometimes steep. These NB hikers are doing a good job. They are just high enough to help support my ankles without being too high and restrictive, and they are wide enough to give a little wiggle room for my toes. They are comfortable for the type of hiking I do and are sure-footed on gravel, rocks, roots, sloping boulders, etc. For longer hikes I might prefer a hiker with a stiffer sole, but for my purposes these are just fine. I'm glad NB makes them and Zappos carries them.

New Balance has been my go-to choice for many years and Zappos always has a great selection and service. Due to ankle defects, age, and outdoor work I prefer a mid-high with excellent arch support and ample toe box. And construction that will take lots of abuse and give me comfort at the collar area. The 1569 Gore Tex fills the bill! And, it's stylish enough for the office!

Zappos is always a pleasure to do business with. Items are shipped very fast. Returns are made simple and quick. They have a large selection of items, and many different brands. Customer service is great. It's a lot easier to do business with Zappos, than wasting time and money driving to stores that have no selection.

I have been looking for a place to buy a good product at a fair price and a company that care of their customers then a friend told about Zappos I never could find good shoes that stands up to the harsh conditions I give them they are great shoes plus try to find a pair of 15 ee new balance in a dept store anywhere not possible Then I found Zappos wow no problems I like them so well I bought a second pair a month a apart, thanks. These are great shoes. They are lighter and more flexible than a traditional hiking boot and sturdier and more supportive than a low top hiker or trail running shoe. I bought them a size too big and a size too wide to accommodate two to three pairs of wool socks for my winter pursuits in MPLS.

Zappos is the best place to buy my shoes. My size was not in stock but they notified me when they had arrived. Great delivery and the free freight both ways takes all the hassle out of shopping, Thanks again Zappos!

My husband has so much trouble finding a comfy shoe. We thought that we would try these. He loves them. He said that they are the best shoe that he has ever worn.

A former marathon runner, I've always worn New Balance. Now age 65 and a long-distance walker, these are my first walking shoes. Like all new New Balance, they fit like surgical gloves; lace them tight, they're an extension of your own foot. Foot & shoe take time to conform, don't fret an early blister. Work through it; wear tight fitting, slick socks. I love mine. Great support, and getting more comfortable, every day.

The most perfect shoe for winter time, walking all year and just plain comfort. Very well built, in fact, I ordered a second pair right away, assuming that the model would change next year, and now have a pair ready when these wear out. I have a wide foot, so NB shoes have always been a choice for me, but this is the shoe I have been looking for. I love them.

Performs as expected. Size and width good - the width is important as I take a B or narrow fit. Top lace hooks are a bit tricky to get the laces under. Would have preferred a lower cuff - but this was the only style in a narrow waterproof shoe.

Seems like as I get older (50's) now, shoes have changed, or my feet have changed. Either way, this is the only shoe that I have found to work.

Bought these for my husband. He loved how they looked, but the fit was a bit too small. I returned them for a half-size larger and they fit perfectly. My husband reports that the shoes keep his feet warm and dry. He loves the styling and color, and says they are comfortable to wear all day.
