I loved the feel of this boot, really great quality leather, soft and supple but nice and heavy. Unfortunately, they are close but not quite narrow enough for my absurdly tiny calves (I wear a size 9.5-10 with a 13-13 1/2" calf). They actually adjust to a good tightness at the top, but they're still wide below that. I just got a pair of Eric Michael Montana boots that fit better, so these have to go back.

I love the look of these boots, however the brass zipper cuts into the bone on the inside of my ankle. It was very painful the first few times I wore them. Fortunately, I have enough room in the boot to wear VERY thick socks to help cushion my ankle, otherwise I would have returned these boots! I have muscular but fairly small calves and ankles, and have never had any problems with wearing any boot that I have ordered on line before. I will definitely go back the the Ecco and Merrell brands that I have purchased before. This is the first disappointment that I have had with the Timberland line of footwear.

I am happy that these come in wide sizes, happy that they are not super tall, and happy that they are comfortable! They are not the cutest boots in the world, but they are nice looking. The removable cushiony insole is very comfortable. I went an extra half size up and also added another thin insole underneath for extra comfort (I have had Morton's neuroma, so I need comfortable footbed, and that did the trick) I would not recommend these boots for wide calfs! The wide is great for wide feet, but if my calfs were any thicker, I do not think that I would be able to get the zipper up. I would say that I have very average calves in terms of thickness, and these are fine for me.

I bought these boots in brown and the shafts was too narrow at the top to tuck in skinny jeans (I have normal calves, this has never been an issue before) so I returned them. But I loved the style and quality and kept thinking about them. So... I bought them again. I wore them around the house with an extra pair if socks wrapped around my calves. The leather is high quality and they stretched nicely. Now they are my favorite pair. Will probably get the black ones this year!

Amazing boots - I have them in brown and black - they get more comfortable with each wear. I ordered a half size larger than normal since they feel snug at first and because I like to wear boot socks with them. They will stretch to fit your foot a little bit but would still recommend ordering a half size up from normal.

At last! After 3 winters of searching for my dream "riding " boot, I've found them! I got the wide in the foot bed, and it fits great (unlike the 3 others I ordered and had to return). The shaft is also a good fit, it has a 3 hole stud for custom fit, I pulled it in to the tightest. I'm 5'6 and weigh 117 lbs, i.e, have slim calves, but not super skinny. Most previous boots I ordered were too wide in the calf. The color and leather is really nice, nice quality, made to last. Looks like the leather is going to look distressed soon, so not for people looking for dress boots.

These boots are gorgeous, but the shaft is only fit for a 14 year old. I've never had to order wide shaft (my calves are not big) but these barely zipped. No way I could wear with anything tucked in them. So sad, but they are going back.

This boot is beautiful. Just what I have been looking for. I ordered the wide width to accommodate thicker socks. I do not understand why they would not offer this in a wide shaft? Sadly they have to go back. My legs are too built for these boots. I can only zip them half way up. Grrrr!

I had high hopes that these boots would be my next favorite pair. I have trouble finding boots that fit my small calves, but these had a circumference (13") listed that made me think they would work. I put them on and found them to be incredibly large around my calves -- even bigger than others I ordered that were marked as such. I'm not sure these are measured properly. Sadly, I'll have to return them and keep looking.

These boots are beautiful and comfortable, but they happen to hit my calfs at the biggest point making my muscular but shapely legs look large. While these boots probably work for most people, I am returning them and ordering the Timberland Earthkeepers Bethel Buckle boots instead. According to the specs they are about 1" taller - same as my current boots which do not present this issue. In case you are considering the Savin Hill boots and worried about the issue I had, I am 5'9", have long legs and I ordered size 9.5.

These are a pair of beautiful, stylish boots that make me feel happy when I wear them! The ankle feels a little stiff, but after wearing it all day for about 5 days, it is starting to get softer. I walk a lot, and my feet don't get sore at all. I am a size 7 wide, and these fit true to size.

The perfect boot, I just wish it was a couple inches taller. I have both the brown and black and they're wonderful boots!

I have been looking for tall riding style boots for a couple of years now, and have had a hard time finding the right ones for me. Because I wear a wide, these were one of the few options I've had, and I asked for them for Christmas. The first pair I got were too tight across my toes, so I exchanged for a half size larger. Almost every 8W fits me well, so these ran a bit small. But thankfully, the 8.5 was a perfect fit, and after a couple of wearings they feel completely formed to my foot and are SO comfortable! The leather is so high quality and smooth, and all the style touches on the boots make them feel like such a classy and versatile part of my wardrobe. Merry Christmas to me!!

These boots are gorgeous. I have a wide toe box with narrow calves and they work well. They do scratch very easily so you just have to embrace these as your cool casual boots because they won't stay pristine for long.

I wanted to love these boots so much! When I got them I was excited about everything the way they looked the feel of the leather but they were way too small. I was exited that they came in wide widths but I am not sure what they meant by that since the shaft was small, the width across the foot was small too. Try again!

These boots rock my outdoor, mountain lifestyle. They look great with skinny jeans, bootlegs, sun dresses and skirts, summer and winter wear. Shaft height is very versatile for my 5'3" frame. I've had them in brown for more than two years and just recently purchased them in black. Boring, I know, but I've yet to find another boot that has the same qualities: lightweight, sturdy, decent traction on snow/ice, warm enough for those summer nights at red rocks and very durable. Two and a half years and still going strong. Solid, everyday boot.

I love these boots! They were a little tight around the calves to start with, but they've loosened significantly since I bought them over a year ago. The two best things about these boots is the shaft height - I'm 5'0" and they fit perfectly - and the leather. Although I've worn these boots for over a year and trudged through snow and rain, a quick trip to the cobbler is all you need to spruce them up like new. I'm seriously considering buying a second pair.

If you have narrow calves, these are the boots for you. I have never owned boots because the boot shafts were always too floppy. These boots have an adjustable shaft and it looks great even when at the tightest setting. I have been on my feet all day in these boots and my feet felt great. They do look a bit like biker boots in black, but I have dressed them up and down and they look great. I ordered a half size up from my regular size so I could wear thick socks, but have only worn thin socks with them and they fit fine. Very happy with my purchase!

I will return these boots with mixed emotions. They are very cute, and fit moderately well. They are tight across the toe box on me, but are of good quality and would probably stretch. They are a little heavy, and the boots I ultimately picked are lighter and felt like a glove right away (Cobb Hill Ashlyn).

I really like these boots. They were a little stiff at first but they are breaking in nicely. The soles are very comfortable too.

I absolutely love these boots so much that I just bought a back up pair to keep in the closet for when the first pair wears out!

I have skinny calves. I have tried several tall boots and they are all too big in the calf. These are absolutely perfect. I am a true size 8 and they fit as well.

I absolutely love these boots! It has taken me years to find the perfect boots, because I have to remove the footbed that comes with them and put my own in (I use Superfeet). That works perfectly with these boots! I normally wear 8½ regular width, but in these boots I got a 9W and that fits great. But I may have needed the extra room for my orthotic insert. I wear these under jeans, with leggings, and will wear them with dresses too I foresee.

Love them. Very high quality. Not as tall as I want though.

These boots are super comfortable and look great! Very satisfied. I was looking for a boot that I could wear all day and walk a lot in and these totally fit the bill.
