Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought this jacket for my son who is a high school freshman and usually leaves the house on frigid days in a sweatshirt. This jacket packs a lot of warmth and the best part about it for him is that he can stuff it into his backpack since he refuses to use his locker at school. The navy is a great color! Fits true to size.

The Thermoball is an excellent jacket for a Colorado, warm enough on cold mornings and light/small enough to pack away on warm afternoons. This jacket keeps me warm at 20 degrees easily without any bulkiness. The black multicolor is very cool and brings many compliments, very unique. I always recommend the Thermoball!

I need something a lot more warm than this jacket. Also, the neck is designed for a Sasquatch. There is a 3 inch gap between my neck and the zipper when fully zipped thus my upper chest and neck remain freezing cold. Frustrating purchase.

This is basically the same liner included with the issued field jackets in the US military, except the North Face is about 10 times more expensive. If you are expecting to wear this as the only outerwear below 50F, be sure to layer up underneath this. The stitched paneling will allow a lot of heat to escape. The nylon material also gets very cold to the touch. It traps some heat, but not enough to be comfortable in a windy situation below 50-55F. You will need a soft shell over this.
Thermoball is just a fancy name for a type of Primaloft, nothing special and not as good as Thinsulate. Go on any mountain climbing or gear forum, and you won't hear many recommendations for North Face or Thermoball.
The cut is way too relaxed. I'm 6'2" 155 lb and have an athletic build. This just drapes over my chest and shoulder muscles like Niagra falls.
Overall: 2/5 stars, way overpriced for a thin jacket liner. This is basically the liner that is included with US military field jackets

I love your products. Love your company. You filled a niche that is unparalleled by anyone. I have lived in my first coat for 5 years now the pull to the zipper came off (don't know why). Replaced it with a ring to pull it up but otherwise this coat takes a beating and never fails me. I buy northface for all my kids each year as they grow. Wouldn't consider anything else

Garment is listed as "standard fit" meaning a tad more room for layering. Zippered internal chest pocket was the winning ticket! Warmth when wet....yes!

The small size fits extremely perfect as it was tailored for my body. Sleeve, length, and width very proportional. The color is beautiful. I love it. Very light and warm. Great product for multiple use.
