There is no other way to put it, because this backpack is simply the BEST for those who are going to college or on a simple day trip. I know that The North Face has a reputation of building their backpacks from materials that are full of quality - that's probably why the price is taking a kick. But, this investment is going to last you (unlike all the other cheap stuff out there that falls apart after 1 month of use). The laptop compartment is separate from all the other stuff so you know that your investment will be protected (and it even comes with a tablet sleeve). There is an ample amount of space for books and papers. Best of all, the admin panel for your pens, pencils, and other small items is well built - you'll never have another organizational problem with this backpack!! I have been using this pack for a month now and I like the comfort it provides while I am wearing it compared to every other backpack I have used in the past. Personally, I expect a couple years from this backpack before it can retire - I hope that stands true! Good job North Face!

This is my first North Face product. i am an aircraft mechanic. this is perfect for me. i always carry lots of clothes, personal protective equipments (safety shoes/vest/ tools....), and of course my laptop and tablet. so many pockets just what i need. i truly recommend this product.

buy one. you wont regret it

wanted to really get this one, but size wasn't good. i wear large in every other north face jacket that i have purchased, this one is larger than the sizing.

The coat does a great job at keeping me warm!

Husband did not like this jacket as an everyday jacket. He said it was nice for snowboarding but wouldn't wear it on the daily. I was wanting to get him a jacket that would work as a snowboarding jacket & a everyday jacket & this was just to big & bulky.

Got an XL and it was Too large for my 6'4 190 lb boyfriend. He normally wears XL in sweaters but an XL in this coat was too big. Exchanging for a Large.

Love it! North face usually runs one size large on me, so i bought an S size and it fits perfect the only thing i would complain about is that wind go through the neck of the jacket, but wearing a sweater or a scarf is just perfect, also love the fact that this one is waterproof, would recommend this for you.

The jacket is too tight and I believe it fits tighter than it's size. The threads are coming out and I never wore the jacket. I just tried it on.

Is a good jacket to use for cold weather and is lo g so it covers more than other jackets.

I only wear it in really cold weather and wear other layers under it.

It's a pretty warm jacket that doesn't feel too cumbersome. I really like that you can wear it with just a light layer underneath- and then be all set. I'm a Boston based musician, and I spend a lot of time getting out and about to gigs, and this jacket keeps me pretty warm while I schlep around with my bass.

This is my go too jacket! It's warm, fits great, looks stylish and will serve me well! Just expensive.

This coat was for my freshman college student. He is almost 5'10" and very hard to shop for. He attends school where the weather is cold, snowy and blustery one day, rainy the next and sunny and breezy in between. Great jacket. Hood is a must. This jacket was the one and only thing he asked 'Santa' for this holiday season. He screen captured the picture and texted the photo to his dad and I - people with young adults - this is how we roll. Love that Paypal is an option to pay for the gift. After getting his text, I ordered the jacket from my phone! So easy! The only wish I had was that this jacket came in tall size. My son is used to wearing clothes that are too big around for him so he's fine with it, but an XLT would be perfect. Thanks Northface! So glad I wasn't waiting in line and my son has what he needs to get across campus and class in warm, style.

This jacket is comfortable and lightweight. It's been warm enough for 10 degree weather if I'm moving. I layer up if I'm not going to be moving a lot.

I always see friends buy it and decided to try it but I was not convinced to much !

Just got this coat and love it. Maybe wish I got a large but who knows, that might be to big. Excited to wear it snowboarding. It's kept me warm so far.

warm, fits a little small, great for Indiana Winters.

Very warm but not waterproof, coat seems to absorb water not repel it. don't wear this is the rain
