I have never written a review before. That said, I felt that I had to based on the review of the person that never even saw these boots in person. I was hesitant to spend the money, but went for it anyway. These are expensive boots. However, they are worth every penny. Within two days of wearing them, they are broken in and super comfortable. I have been wearing Frye's for years and these are the best ones I have ever worn. The style is super sexy. I have actually gotten two compliments on these boots in two days. That never ever happens. I am super impressed. I am so impressed, I am actually thinking about buying another pair in a different color. If you are on the fence, you should absolutely buy them. Best boots I have ever had.

Amazing boots. Comfortable, sturdy, and good-looking - I wear them everywhere and they've been holding up very well with just a little bit of care. Fit is a bit on the big side - if you normally wear a 10.5 street shoe, I'd recommend trying these in 10 or 9.5 first. (Street shoe size is definitely too big.)

I have not seen or tried on a pair of these new boots from Frye. I have noted that the boots are unlined! I thought that was a sign of less quality. Meanwhile the prices on new Frye products often seem as much as a lot more than similar items no longer offered. A bit of pay more for the name with lesser quality seems to be in play. This makes me sad.

Meh. These shoes are uninspiring for the price. The cap toe feels sturdy, but the rest of the shoe feels much cheaper (especially the tongue). I'd recommend the "Red Wing 6" Iron Ranger" if you're looking for boots that are well-built and stylish at a solid price.

I love them. Except the price, but clearly that didn't stop me. I usually wear an 8.5, but I tried many sizes and the 7 fit perfectly. So these are waaaay off.

These boots have been great. The fit is good -- I wear an 11D, purchased an 11D, and the fit is spot on. The leather quality is super, as is the sole. It's a very solid leather sole and I brought the boots to a cobbler who installed rubber Topy soles on each. All in all, these are top quality boots that are fully up to the standards of others in this price category. I have no qualms about highly recommending the Frye Walter.

One month in, these boots have broken in nicely and look as though they'll be with me for a long time to come. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Great vintage leather has a true distressed look and the raw hide leather laces make it an authentic work boot. Fits true to size but buy a size up if you plan to wear heavier socks.

Ordered my standard 91/2. Returned for a 9. Average feet, average width. 1/2 size too big. Got props on the style from my special lady friend before they went back on the box for the right size.

I own several pairs of Frye boots and love them. These are great boots but the tongue is so flimsy it is driving me insane! Sounds OCD but it won't stay in place and is not even close to being comparable with the high quality of the rest of the boot. The only thing that keeps me from returning them is the fact that they are made in USA and nothing else is, plus they are fly and comfy after a week of wearing. I'm taking them to my cobbler to get a tongue implant or something...I don't know.

So I have to assume that at least half the price of these boots is just for the the Frye name, because it sure isn't for the quality of the boot. I will allow that they are crafted quite nicely, they are stylish and have one heck of a solid sole, but it seems important to note that the tongue is nothing more than an extremely thin piece of suede and beyond the capped toe the lower body of the boot is very soft material that doesn't look like it would hold up in the long run. Good looking, but not worth the price.

I own four pair of these boots. Every color and type leather offered. They crush the Iron Ranger. Best boots I’ve ever owned...Period!

I got these beautiful boots about 6 weeks ago and I could not be happier. I got black mainly because of the full-grain leather. I wanted a boot that was going to stand the test of time and also feel substantial. After a full 2 week wear-in period these are amazingly comfortable and it's like my feet get a soft hug every morning I wear these. spendy but totally worth every penny. The distressing is not as pronounced as it is in the picture either, thankfully.

I'm usually a solid size 11, but had to exchange for 10.5 which is a much better fit for me in these boots so they do run large. The first pair I received was a solid black with none of the weathering in the toe and heel that the picture would suggest. The second pair I received did have some weathering although it's still not as dramatic as the picture, I like these much better. It's a good looking boot. The quality appears to be excellent and I look forward to breaking them in. They should last me a long time.

Jeans, chinos, you name it. These boots look fantastic with everything. Dress them up or down. They are very "distressed" so if you're a fan of boots looking neat and clean these probably are not for you. I am on my feet all day and these have withstood the comfort test. Very happy with the boot (especially since they were on sale!) They do run LARGE. I wear a size 11 in Nike/Vans and ordered a 10, which fit just right.

Bought a much smaller size than I usually wear in other brands thanks to a really helpful associate in the SoHo, NY location who helped me find my proper size. I recommend doing your homework on the right size, the website is also really helpful with giving you a sense of how the boot will break in and what to look for in an "at-first" fit. The suede is high quality, very much a chocolate color and these have a rugged look, but neat and sophisticated as well.

I bought this boot because it was on sale, its my first pair of Frye boots. I have a pair of Rokker 11" tall boots for my motorcycle that I love but I wanted a pair of ankle hight boots for the summer and warmer weather and couldn't be happier with the Frye Logans. Solid construction and very comfortable for a day and night out on the town. They arrived to my house int he Santa Cruz mountains 15 minutes before my girlfriend and I were set to leave for San Fran for a John Prine concert, I immediatly put them on and we were out the door. I ended up wearing them all day in the car, walking around San Fran and then enjoying an amazing Jphn Prine concert at the Warfield, it was an amazing day and my feet felt great. I spent some time in the NAvy so am used to breaking in boots and plus from riding motorcycles and these boots are great! They have a stiff sole but I like that and it is very comfortable. I wish that they came in a standard black, not the stone wash, but it certanly isnt a deal breaker for me and I knew what I was getting when I orderd them so very happy with the quality of the boot and the style. Looks good with some slacks and a collared shirt or jeans and t shirt. If you want a great looking boot that comes with an "already been worn, old boot look" that will last you the rest of your life this is that boot. The leather boot laces really complete the style and stay tied very securely, nice touch! I highly recomend these boots, espcially at the sale price if they have your size. I am either an 11 or 10.5, I ordered the 10.5 and glad I did, the 11 would be to big. One last thing about me. Im a massage therapist, teach yoga and the chinese/daoist martial and healing arts, foot comfort is very important to me. For shoes I like a zero heal minimalist shoe, for boots I like something that is comfortable and soild construction in a classic style. My feet are very happy in this boot. I also do my best to be a earth friendly consumer and owning boots that can be resoled over and over again as needed for the rest of my life is money well spent, especially for riding motorcycles. Frye has made a believer in me.

I've had these for a few weeks now and am very happy with the fit and comfort. They also look fantastic! No complaints. I've had a few other Frye boots and these are my favorite. Also, I won't buy boots that aren't made in the USA. Thanks goodness for Frye!!!

I bought these about a year ago and have worn them about once a week since. They are just starting to break in now. They are pretty stiff at first, but that's because the leather is thick and heavy duty. These boots are of very high quality. I have a pair on Wolverine 1000 mile that I also wear once a week and they broke in much faster and are softer leather, but these boots feel like a higher quality and I imagine will last longer. The heel was pretty narrow at first but that has formed to my heal nicely now. I recommend thick socks for a while while breaking in. I wear a 13 in most men's shoes, but ended up with a size 12 in these after trying them on in the store. Boots like this are obviously a big investment, but it's one of those things than can be repaired again and again and will hold up for many years. You get what you pay for....

I'm pretty sure these guys snuck into my room when i was sleeping to measure my feet cause these fit absolutely perfect. bought these boots right before a two week stay in Ireland and Scotland. i wore them everyday. i wear a 10.5 red wing and ordered a 10.5 frye and they both fit about the same. this boot seems a little wider than most across the widest part of my foot which is nice cause i have wide feet. even comfortable with a thick pair of wool socks on.i have the stonewash pair and they looked pretty true to the picture out of the box. the leather feels nice and soft and the boots look very well made. hands down my favorite pair of boots.

first pair of Frye boots and so far I love these boots. i bought the dark brown (stonewash) and they pretty much look like the pictures. the stonewash is subtle and the boots will arrive with a powdery looking finish to them. my guess is that the finish highlights the "stonewash" effect bc after polishing the boots (i like shine) the stonewash effect isn't quite as obvious. still yet these are super comfortable, can be dressed up or down, and feel like they are built to last. fit a little long but about what you would expect from a boot. verdict : buy'em
