I bought the black in a 9, fit perfectly, true to size for me. I like the roomy toe so I don't find that as running large. But the boot is sleek and stylish looking, but ruff and tuff feeling. I own 2 other Frye boots, the Logan Cap Toe by far has the best sole, a nice hard rubber that doesn't not slip on smooth surfaces. Pretty quick break in, love 'em!

Perhaps luck has nothing to do with it. Once again, the boots purchased fit perfectly and stood an ultimate test ... the test of scrutiny by my daughters (31 and 34 years old)! Such has been the case with each pair of Frye boots I own - regardless of style. Each daughter was blown away with them throughout a day of recent walking (7 miles +) exclaiming spontaneously from time to time how much they loved them. This was my first time wearing them, and they remained very comfortable throughout the day. Laces are a bit cheep (leather boot style) which I intend to change out to something dressier.

I love the construction of these boots. They are very well made and the quality of the leather is impeccable. They are sturdy and, most of all, comfortable. The fit is right on the money with my size.

I originally bought these in black and loved them so much I added brown and the oiled suede. They fit great, are comfortable and are my go to shoes all fall, winter and spring! I even added the Logan Chelsea this year. And they did not disappoint. Look great with jeans! I highly recommend this boot. It is without question my favorite pair of shoes. They have traveled with me overseas on vacations to Ireland and London!

I bought mine from the Chicago store last summer. They actually fit true to size for me. I have a pretty narrow foot, but mine fit great. I also ordered the whiskey color because I wanted to add a "worn" pair of boots to my collection. The first time you wax them (and I would recommend the Frye wax) they turn a bit darker and you lose a little of the worn look, but I actually think they look even better. I recently wore them and got caught in a rainstorm on my motorcycle and they were completely water logged. I let them dry for two days on shoe trees and waxed them. They returned right to their original beauty! I have four pair of Fryes and I am happy with each pair!

It's always intimidating to buy boots sight unseen - especially at this price point. I have tried on Iron Rangers and 1,000 miles boots and while both are great quality, the breaking in period is a bit excessive. I took a shot with these boots and immediately I was impressed by the supple soft leather and quality construction. Putting them on was a breeze which typically can be difficult in new boots. These puppies slid right on and cuddled my foot in a way that made me feel I'd owned them for years. I immediately began getting compliments don them the first time I wore them out. I'm very happy with the quality of these boots and I know I'll be enjoying them for many, many years. If you're interested in a solid American-made boot, I would highly suggest these.

I absolutely love my Logan Cap Toes in dark brown suede. Certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The quality is impeccable, they're extremely comfortable, and the styling is gorgeous--the three stand-out features for me are the rich suede, the contrast stitching, and the stacked leather heel with its distinctive, redwood-like colors.

These are super comfortable from the get go, almost like your clone wore them for a year and broke them in for you. I really wanted a pair of Red Wings but was not happy with the comfort of any of them so was thrilled to find these classic Frye boots that had all the style I wanted plus immediate comfort.

Great shoe! Wore it this past weekend to an outdoor dress weeding on a mountain -- could traverse the terrain and look good at the same time. Sooooo comfortable!

I love these boots - enough to have bought a second pair in a different color. They look great with most outfits, from casual to just-below-tux-and-tails. They're also very comfortable and supportive - I have knee and ankle problems from sport injuries and these boots mitigate that. (I can actually walk all day in these without knee pain, unlike less supportive shoes like sneakers or dress shoes.) All told I'd recommend them without hesitation. Just remember to size down slightly from your normal street size, as these run a bit big.

This is a very nice boot. But a couple of things to be aware of before you buy: 1. The pics on Frye's website are not completely indicative to what arrives in the box if you order online. The online pics reflect a somewhat polished boot. What arrives is a VERY distressed looking boot, with some sort of white powdery substance all over the boot...Probably from the distressing work done to give the boot a very worn look. If you don't prefer this look, this powder easily wipes clean with a slightly damp cloth. I got the Whiskey color....Since I prefer the look of the boot from the online pics, I applied a little Allen Edmonds bourbon colored shoe polish to give my boots a slightly dressier look. Overall, I love what the polish did for the look of the boot. 2. Frye boots tend to have VERY heavy soles and heels, and this boot is no exception. This thick of a sole can add to the break-in period, and possible discomfort in the early days or even months. Overall, A+ for this boot. Appears to be very well made, and a boot that will last for many years to come.

I purchased these boots this past summer and have gotten lots of good wear out of them. They required no break in period for me. I work retail and am on my feet all day and they do pretty well during those shifts. The suede texture and color is incredible! Definitely would recommend. Size down a half to a whole size down from your general sneaker size though.

Good looking pair of boots. The quality is good but way too pricey. I will not spend this amount of money on Frye boots. Not as good as my Red Wing Iron Rangers. The only reason why I bought this is because Red wing doesn't make dark brown or suede anymore.
I'd also recommend:
Red Wing Iron Rangers

First time buying Frye boots. I heard nothing but good things so I had to try them out. I love the look of the Logans.. High quality boots. Great craftsmanship. If you order your normal size, expect them to be too long in the toe. I ordered a 10.5 and returned them for a 10. Try ordering a half size down... Fits much better but they're now a bit narrow on both sides of my heels. I am waiting for them to break in.

This is my second pair of Frye's. The quality, fit and construction are all excellent, exactly what I expected, and although I've only had them for about two weeks, I think they may outlive my Smith Engineer's. I took off a star because they don't have a pull strap.

I bought these along with 5 other pairs of boots from different brands. The Frye Logans won and I'm really enjoying wearing them. I find myself overlooking other pairs of shoes to put them on

I purchased these boots over a month ago and they look great, however the insert eyes for the laces were not installed properly and very sharp edges are in the inside of the boot. So when taking off the boots and you have to loosen the laces I cut my finger on the edge of the eye openings not once but twice. So now I am very aware of the issue.

Great looking boot. Slightly stiffer, dressier style, with the leather soles and accents. This will not be a boot I will want to walk around or stand around in for long periods of time, but is comfortable enough for a work day or night out. I ended up with a full size to size and a half down (I wear 10.5 in most shoes) which translates into correct length but a little more narrow than I would prefer. They seem well constructed so far but time will tell. I opted to pay more for one of the styles made in the US because the last pair of Frye boots I bought (Norton Tall Lace Up - made in Mexico) have had the sole reglued four times in two years. Frye was synonymous with quality but I am wondering if that quality is reserved for the more expensive styles these days. Zappos was great as usual, even shipped when I was 15 minutes past their cutoff.

Boots are nice and fit well BUT, list price is rather high in comparison to other quality boots from, say Allen Edmonds (also American made). Fry, no lining, little cushion insole. I only purchase Frye footwear when on sale now. Decline in bang for the buck trend seemed to happen a few years ago. Right now, Fryes are in. That may change some day and the lack of quality in relation to higher prices may come back to haunt you.
