I am usually a 7.5/8 but other reviews said to size up. I should have sized down. When walking my foot would slide back because of how the straps fit. It would cause me to trip on the excess. Overall would be comfortable sole but straps and sizing need adjusting.

I use the shoes for Kayaking mostly. I need shoes that are good for in and out of the water all the time and I have always had Teva's but my last two pairs that I have owned for 10+ years literally fell apart. I ordered these because I thought they were the same and I was wrong. I wear a 9 normally and I am so sad Teva doesn't have half sizes because these are too long. I need an 8.5 but an 8 is too small.

I wore these shoes five times and got extremely bad blisters every time. I got blisters on both of my little toes, one of my big toes, and the bottom of one of my feet. They fit well and are very cute. Hopefully, I can find a solution to my blister problem!

Bought a size 10 but I have a narrow foot so the Velcro strap was so long it dragged on the ground. I tried to loosen them to make it shorter but then I kept tripping. Will probably just cut the strap.

The product feels cheaper than I was expecting. I am a 6 1/2 and was told to get a 7 since Teva doesn't offer half sizes. They were massive. Like wearing big flippers. I wanted a refund but was told since I didn't have the original box they couldn't help me. (I threw the box away so maybe that was my bad). Overall I'm not impressed and will not be buying these again.

I got this on recommendation from friends. I understand that they are meant to act like a cross between flip flops and hiking shoes but to me I thought they were neither rugged enough to hike or comfy enough to wear to the beach. Personally I would just rather wear hiking boots or flip flops or crocs. Just didn't suit my needs very well but I can see the appeal for people who don't need them to be as good on the trails. Admittedly I may have used them on rougher terrain than they are intended for but I was not very satisfied. Also the second my feet started to sweat I felt like I was walking on two slip and slides. My toes would hang over the shoe from the slippery soles.

I love my black Tevas. I was really excited for the Sand Dune color, but these are less of a rich cognac color and more like a pale cardboard color. Bummed to have to return.

I've owned a couple of Forebay-style Tevas, including one pair that I still use for work in the garden and yard. The Original Universals have been a disappointment. The footbed is rough, and they provide little upper support. Based on others I'd seen wearing Tevas, I thought I was getting more all-around outdoor footwear. Velcro can be a little irritating. Flimsier than I expected. Customer service was of little value when I called.

I like the looks of the sandals and the colors and pattern, but they very uncomfortable on my feet. I find the material of the footbed too rough for the bottom of my feet. I have some other styles of Teva sandals and do like them.

In the past I have shunned away from Teva's because of the style. This year they seem to have stepped up their game with some cute additions to the classics. However, they fact still remains that the top interlocking plastic they use in all of their designs is actually really uncomfortable. If you ever walk on sand with these shoes you will get sand under where the triangle plastic piece hits your foot. And for those of you who know what happens when any debris gets in there... Yup. Blisters. Every time! They are nice for city walking due to the amount of rubber cushion on the sole. But, totally disappointed as I had blisters the entire time I was in Mexico.

I wanted to love these because they were cute and functional as water and walking shoes but the feeling of that plastic triangle that holds the straps against the side of my foot was annoying. I wore them for a few minutes around my house and just couldn't see how I could walk all day in them feeling that piece of plastic.

Felt cheaply made. Spend a little more money and get a better product. I did.
I'd also recommend:
Teva is a good product . You get what you pay for.

I love the original look. I've had my old ones for 15 years. Time to buy a new pair but was disappointed. The sole was not as sturdy and the sandle is not a molded fit like the true original. This is a much cheaper version. I doubt it will last 15 years.

I was SO excited to buy these. I wanted trendy, waterproof sandalsand they ARE CUTE. However, these sandals rub the side of my toes and it hurts so bad to wear them. I don't want to return them because I'm hoping it may just be a "breaking them in" issue, so we'll see.

I did not like these sandals. The footbed felt flat and cheap.I have touchy feet and am overweight, so that might have a lot to do with why I didn't like them. The flowers on the straps were cute. They run true to size. But I will stick with the Vera style, more support.

The sandals are mostly great. Comfortable. Simple. Look... fine. Kind of classic. But I have size 13 feet, and it is fairly obvious that they haven't done anything to account for the fact that on larger sizes, you have more unsupported footbed extending out from where the straps secure across the top/front of your foot. This means that you have a large flap of unsupported, semi-flimsy rubber under your toes, and there is a huge risk of catching that flap of rubber on the ground or a sidewalk, and tripping or stubbing your toes. Also, this means that the top of the sandal, right under your toes, gets abraded, and that the front "edge" of the sandal takes a lot of abuse, and delaminates over time. When this happened to my first pair, the service was great, and they replaced them, but it is happening to my second pair after only a month or two.
Yes, I have tightened the straps to keep them as close to my feet as possible, and no, I am not a generally clumsy/trippy person. It just seems that Teva has decided to simply make the footbed longer, without thickening it or adding any additional support. It's disappointing, because I otherwise love them, but I won't be ordering any more.
(I'd put up a photo, but the upload process is not working.)

The straps are similar to those on the original Tevas I enjoyed in the late 80's. Unfortunately the soles on these "Original Universal" sandals are extremely thin and floppy unlike the actual original sandals.

Wow, very disappointed in the original universal that I just received today. I am returning them. My old Teva universals had a much smoother footbed. The new style are pebbly and very uncomfortable. Really wanted a new pair but know I wouldn't wear the new ones.

Purchased before a trip 6 weeks ago. Didn't even wear everyday and the trip isn't over and the soles are splitting in half at the toe. Very unhappy with the quality. My old Tevas held strong for years without this kind of defect. And they are quite slick when walking on any kind of slippery surface outside.

The bottom of the shoe is great and very comfortable. But, the triangle plastic part at the top where the toes are, have made blister after blister. Just need something to cover it up to keep from rubbing and this shoe would be 10X better!

I absolutely was ecstatic to receive them in the mail, but only a month after wearing them once in a while, the bottom part of the shoe came off. Might have just been an error, but I was disappointed when this happened and I've had cheap knock offs for over a year that are still holding strong.
