This is a great, warm coat. Bought it to survive the Arctic Vortex, and it did an amazing job. At the time I ordered two similar coats, but the style and softness of the Marmot jacket was much nicer than the other brand. Haven't had any issues with the down coming out, as other reviewers mentioned, but I've only been wearing it a couple of days. The inside fleece is a great touch and the fabric is so soft on the outside, I feel like a warm, albeit trendy, marshmallow walking down the street.

I've had this coat about three weeks now and we've already experience below zero wind chill and this coat is wicked warm! BEST COAT I've ever owned. You actually experience warmth with this down coat compared to some others and the length is perfect. The hood is snug fitting so it won't fly off your head in windy weather and snug enough you can put half way down to act as an ear muff. Perfect for me since I hate to wear hats. The added fleece lining inside and in your arms stops the chill! This is going to keep me warm all winter! Next year a new color!!! Perfect. Thanks Marmot

This is the warmest coat I have ever had (not for skiing or athletics). I love this coat. The hood is awesome. I want to write Marmot because it is so great. Fit is snug but not tight. I am always small to medium and I bought the medium, which is perfect. Great, warm, wonderful coat.

I love this jacket! I am 5'10" and struggle to find items that are long enough in the arms. Normally I wear a small or medium top but I ordered a large in this coat to allow room for layering. It is not bulky and the cut makes it flatter my figure. I have worn it in 15 degree weather with wind chill and was plenty warm! This is a great purchase.

This coat is extremely warm and comfortable. I love the inside pockets and the outside pockets are very deep which I love.

Like other reviewers, this is the warmest coat I've ever owned. I appreciate the versatility. The fur on the hood zips off with a band between you and your forehead so the zipper won't irritate. The hood zips off entirely, again, with protection between your neck and the zipper. The exterior, hand-warming pockets are deep and have zippers. There are 2 interior pockets. 1 has a zipper and the other does not but is surprisingly generously sized and deep. Another appealing detail is that the neckband and chest area are lined with a kind of flannel/suede-like fabric that feels great and cozy. I agree with other reviewers that you probably want to go up a size.

I live in northern Minnesota 3 hours south of the Canadian border. This is the warmest coat I have ever had & I'm a 60 year native of Minnesota. Perfect coat for walking the dog, hiking, watching a sled dog race in the cold for several hours. It seems wind resistant and well insulated. I like the inside pockets that fits my cell phone and drivers license, etc. It's a bit warm for shopping at the mall, but if you need a good winter coat it is excellent. I've had mine for 7 years & it is still in good shape and has held up well. It is worth every penny!

This coat is very warm and has nice deep pockets, but it is fitted so go up one size if you will be active or have a heavier layer underneath.

This is my 2nd Marmot coat. My first, is green and this is brown, not the brown I thought, it would be but I decided to keep it. I will purchase a Navy or Black, one day, but not yet. I wear a L but if I wanted to layer Id go up to XL I have not needed to layer to stay warm in 25 to 30 degrees. They have been worn to football games in December and walking our dogs all winter. I also wear one to hockey games. I have been very happy with all my purchases from Marmot.

The Montreal Down Coat kept me warm in Alaska's -25 degree (Fahrenheit) weather. I highly recommend this beautiful coat.

I compared the Acai (burgundy) and Papyrus (creamy white) and while both were lovely, the white one said, "I'm your coat," and I had to agree. I like the visibility the white one gives me as a pedestrian in NYC. I like that the Montreal has just the right amount of fill to be super warm yet is still a little streamlined. The black collar lining is a plus, having struggled to keep white collars white. The faux fur on the hood was matted on arrival, and I fluffed it out gently with a venting hairbrush so it's fine, but I like that there are hidden zippers for removing both the fur trim and the hood.

This coat is warmer than you can possibly imagine. And, on top if that, it manages warmth without too much bulk. Also, the front zipper opens from the bottom as well as the top, which is very important when sitting or driving a car.

Great coat. Warm and comfy and yet still flattering. The hem is really cute. There are lots of pockets including internal pockets.

It is a great longer jacket. It is enough warmth, for sure. I am always cold, so this is perfect.
