This coat is perfect for Northeast winters. I read reviews that the zipper can be an issue. I did find it to be a bit ( very little) tough to get started due to length of coat, but so far no other issues.

Received as a gift, ended up buying one for my mom because she loved how soft and light mine was. Doesn't have a windbreaker aspect and definitely not for less than 30 degrees F but keeps you cozy

I bought the Montreaux to replace an older Marmot coat that I wore for years. This coat is incredible, it's like wearing a warm blanket. I live in Boston and it's freezing but with this coat, I am warm all the time. I recently wore it to an outdoor amusement park on a snowy, 30-degree days and never felt cold once. I bought the navy color. I have no issues with the zipper. The cut is flattering. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone who is cold all the time like me!

This coat is perfect for our frigid Minnesota winters. I'm happy I opted for a little longer version as it definitely adds extra comfort and warmth. The only thing I've noticed there are lots of little feathers "escaping," so hopefully, that ceases soon. Overall, a great coat, and good quality.

Bought this coat in red for my daughter. Really pretty color! It is nice and soft on the inside. Light weight coat. Best of all I like the fact that you can unzip from the bottom. It makes it easy to drive with it on without feeling confined. It was a bit expensive though.

This is quite a good winter coat with a big, deep hood and zip up pockets. I really like it, but my only complaint is that the fabric tears pretty easily. Also, you should buy a size up so that you can fit layers underneath.

I have had the Montreaux coat for about 5-6 years and it is honestly the warmest thing I own without being bulky! Literally nothing gets through that coat no matter how cold it is outside...my body is never cold! I loved it so much that I bought my 2 daughters one as well and they both live them the same! Definitely worth every penny and more!

Warm enough for this freezing girl to withstand the Boston winter. Loved it so much that when my first developed holes from fire pit embers I bought a second (there is only so much polyester can do against fire). Excellent against the wind, holds up against to light rain (heavy rain not so much), and it is fitted enough to be attractive without being tight. I purchased my normal size and it fits perfectly under sweaters and normal winter clothes.

I love this jacket. Great details like fleece lined collar. Beautiful earthy green color. Warm enough for New England winters. I'm 4'11" and the XS fits well.

I moved from Texas to NYC and needed something to get through the winter. After spending 2 months comparing coats, I settled on this one (for 50%, I was shopping during summer) and I am thrilled with my choice. It's kept me cozy through the coldest days and walking through wind tunnels. I only wear a thin long sleeve underneath because the lining is super warm. I almost want to buy an extra to have on hand for friends who visit from down south!

This is by far the warmest coat I have ever owned. I bought this with the intention of wearing to and from work on days the temps were below average. I'm 5'3" and this hits me just below the knees (size S). The lining is so soft and hood is just the right size that it will stay up even when the wind blows. 10/10 would recommend.

I LOVE this jacket. I was looking at similar styles (and prices) from North Face and Patagonia but I am so happy I went with this one! It is super cute and flattering (the cut is way cuter than the Patagonia and even the North Face). I love the fur on the hood but it could also be removed if you don't love it. Both the hood and the fur are attached by a zipper so you never have to worry about them falling off. I also love that there are two zippers for the jacket so on days when it isn't super cold you can pull one zipper up and one down and have it zipped just at your belly. Of course the coat is also very warm!! I did a lot of research before purchasing this jacket and I would recommend it to everyone!

This coat is very warm. Looks a little marshmallowy, but hard to look svelte and also stay warm. Good purchase and I recommend this coat to anyone.

Beautifully made coat, but my petite teenage daughter found it to be too long. Will return and purchase shorter style.

I really like the coat. Is warm but not heavy. Very useful pockets inside. The zipper opens in both ends which is practical and very easy to use . Love it!

I purchased this jacket looking for something that would be professional looking over a suit and warm enough for a northern Virginia winter. I was pleasantly surprised how lightweight and soft the jacket was. The length is perfect, I am 5 feet six and 135 pounds with long legs and it hits my knee. The chest is a bit snug, it's not so tight that I returned it, but I wish it were a tad bit looser there. I'm a 32DD. It's too fitted to wear over a blazer, so it doesn't quite meet that intent but I can work around that. The jacket has been warm enough to wear in 27 weather at 4 AM when I walked the dog. I know the colder months are coming so hopefully it holds up. The color is beautiful, but I wish that I had ordered black because I already got it dirty putting stuff in the car. It isn't wiping clean but hopefully will wash well.

I bought this jacket in 2013 (8 years ago now!) for my first Midwest winter as a California transplant. This jacket kept be cozy, warm, and dry through -37F wind chill and my daily 20 minute walks (x2) to and from work in the snow (including snow storms). It has kept me very warm for many snowy winters since then (in both the Mountain West and now back in the Midwest again) and continues to hold up nicely with no signs of wear and tear. I have multiple down jackets from other companies and this is by far my warmest jacket. It kind of feels like you're wearing a sleeping bag. Not the most fashion forward piece but very functional so no regrets with this coat and am actually back on this website right now considering getting another color (although I certainly don't need a second one since my first still looks like new).

I was pleasantly surprised by how light this coat is - but it's warmer than jackets I have that are way heavier and look puffier. I suspect it's due to the 700-fill power down and fleece lining. The navy color is super nice and the fit is flattering. I would say this coat runs true to size in the torso, but large in the sleeves. I am very petite (5'1" and 100lbs) so granted coats size XS sometimes still end up being big on me, but while the torso of the XS I got fit perfectly (with room for layers), the sleeves were both loose and long. I tried on a few coats from The North Face as well as Patagonia's "Down With It" but none of those sleeves fit as loose as the ones on this coat. I'm making do by rolling up the sleeves, and I guess the extra room in them is nice if I want to wear a thick sweater underneath. Love that there are two inside pockets.
