great quality, classic shoe for my little girl

Great shoe...so cute and classic looking! Good quality. This is my second pair and I plan to continue buying for my 2 year old daughter throughout her early school years. It sells as a M/W width but it's a M...her foot is a little wide so the width is a little snug until she breaks it in.

They are beautiful and well made but I could not figure out how the insert made them a wide width. They were way too tight with the insert - and without it.

These are a little expensive for my taste but worth it. They are very cute, however, a little on the heavy side for a toddler. They fit true to size and have not seen rub spots on my child's feet.

I purchased this shoe for my granddaughter and I really loved this item. I feel this was a great purchase, the size it true to size, this the fit is very good and I just love the craftsmanship very expensive looking shoe without the expensive price.

This is the perfect shoe for my daughter's school uniform. It stays on her foot well and is comfortable. The shoes have not rubbed any blisters. They are also scuff-free. The only problem we had was that after just one month, one of the rubber soles started to detach from the stitching near the toe. Zappos happily and easily replaced it with a new pair. They even let us keep the faulty pair until the new pair arrived, so my daughter would still have her shoes for her uniform. I would definitely recommend this shoe!

I love these shoes! They remind me of my old school Buster Brown shoes. As others have mentioned, they have real buckles, not velcro. I'm okay with that. I also like the extra inserts bc they fit a little big right now. With the added insert, they are now perfect.

I about a size 8 in navy blue for my 3 year old niece last Christmas. She absolutely loves these shoes! This is the only shoe she ever wants to wear. They wear extremely well. They have buckles which means you have to buckle the shoes each time you put them on...so what! A little work to put on a shoe is not a big deal. She sits there while you put on her shoes with no problem. She even tries to do the buckle herself. I definitely recommend this shoe for any toddler or little girl. I actually am going to order her more and in different colors because she loves them so much! Final say...great shoe, wears extremely well (she runs around, jumps, plays and never has an issue). Love!

These shoes are very comfy for my 2 year old, almost 3 year. The shoe is not tight but not too wide either. Just enough so that you can tighten if loose. She loves these shoes and never complains of discomfort. They are rugged and very well-made. I will continue purchasing these for her for preschool and probably for elementary too.

I love these shoes and have bought several pairs as my daughters have grown out of them. They are great shoes for more dressy occasions, but unlike most dress shoes, they have rubber soles that are comfortable and don't slip.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I have bought for my granddaughter. She outgrew the first pair and they still look brand new. She wore these to school and outside to play and there were never scuff marks. Excellent shoe, will buy again.

I love these shoes. This is my second pair and they go with EVERYTHING. (Jeans to dresses.) They hold up well as well. Please order one size smaller than your child wears. The brown is a great color? You will love them. Oh, also, my 3 yr old is loving the challenge of the buckles.

I loved these shoes and my (picky) daughter did, too. She wore them to school many days to go with her uniform and they still look brand new. She is very hard on shoes. We will be able to use them for another child next year, so it's quite a value and a time saver to shop just once! We are ordering again for this year. Such a wonderful find!

I love this brand and especially this style of baby shoes. But I was disappointed that Footmates has changed their insole insert that adjusts the width. You used to remove one insole and put in the wide one and it had the same arch support for medium or wide width. Now the wide insert is very thin and has NO arch support.

Looks great but would be more convenient if buckles were Velcro

So glad to find a classic shoe in sizes above 12 for my daughter. She would rather wear her pink sneakers but she doesn't complain much about wearing these. ;)

Had to unbuckle both buckles which was too cumbersome for my 6 yo

I love Footmates but the pair that I received has a horrible, horrible smell. It is so bad that we can smell them as soon as we walk into my daughter’s room. They are unworn so I can’t blame my 4 year old’s feet! ?? I am guessing it’s the chemicals they used? My girls have worn Footmates for years and I’ve never experienced this before.

I received these shoes on Thursday and my daughter wore them to daycare in Friday. The shoes are beautifully made and she found them comfortable but when I came to pick her up the toes of the shoes had leather peeling. I was very disappointed. Customer service was excellent and is sending me a new pair. Thank you Zappos. I really hope this is a fluke. I have owned many pairs of leather shoes and sold leather shoes and the quality of this peeling is very similar to what I have seen in shoes that are synthetic. Hoping the next pair is better.

Disappointed, as my daughter picked them out and I love the style. But I ordered a full size above what she currently wears, and we could hardly even buckle them on the last hole. She said they hurt her feet. Had to return them.

Based on the reviews I ordered my daughter the 10 (which she currently wears) for the upcoming school year thinking that if the shoe runs large, she will have the room to grow. Not so. These shoes were tight on her now. These run true to size, if a little small.

These shoes are adorable, and I think they would be quite comfortable if they fit. I followed the recommendation on Zappos to order a half size smaller than my daughter normally wears, but they were still a full size too big! We'll try a smaller size, and hopefully I won't have to return another pair.
