The width was fine across the ball of the foot. Found the toe box to narrow though.

Have an older pair of 806 running shoes and love them, decided to try the tennis 806. The fit is very different and not comfortable at all . There seems to be a very different insole and has no arch support. Not sure how to fix this problem.

I have been buying New Balance for years and am so sick and tired of them changing the styles that I have to figure out a new shoe each time. I am thankful for Zappos return policy, but I still have no shoes that fit. I tried these in many sizes and widths and could not find one that worked for me. I usually wear 10½W and have bunions and need a wide toe area and these did not have it. I went to the extra wide and toe still tight and heal slipped.

I've been wearing this shoe and its predecessor for years. About 2 years ago I noticed that the 10.5 that used to fit perfectly is now too short. The outsoles are a disappointment as well...I found myself having to replace them every 3 months or so. I feel a bit stuck with New Balance as they are the only ones I know who make a narrow shoe.

These shoes used to work for me. But this last pair runs small so my 9 1/2 AA foot is now in a size 12 instead of the 11 I've got in the past, and the toe box is more narrow. That's causing my big toes to hit the side in spite of the larger size, resulting in knee and back pain. I've bought a shoe stretcher and am hoping they will eventually stretch out enough since the store I got them from doesn't take returns.

I tried two pairs of this model of tennis shoes and both developed premature HOLES in the sole near my dominant toe...the rest of the shoes look totally new. Zappos customer service was great about letting me replace the first one with the second one, and refunding the second one after a deep hole appeared in the same spot after only two months of normal tennis use. New Balance has always prided itself on its sturdy soles, but unfortunately this model seems to have some kind of softer rubber composition. I'm disappointed because the shoes look good and are comfortable, but this breakage just isn't acceptable. I'll try a different New Balance model and hope for the best. I've always worn New Balance (decades) so you can believe me when I tell you this shoe is not wearing like all of the many others I've bought (too bad they discontinued the 804, which lasted forever).

I have been wearing NB tennis shoes for years now and I love them, but these have not lived up to the usual standard offered by NB. Did they change the bottoms? These shoes have worn down - to a hole in the bottom of one of them - while the shoes themselves look brand new.

Yikes! These were not what I expected. I'm a New Balance fan for running shoes, and just learned to play pickleball and wanted a court shoe. My first impression after taking these out of the box was that they don't look like leather. They product description says leather upper, but the leather must be treated with something because they look like plastic. They are also very stiff making me think that something has been added to the leather. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 in athletic shoes, so I ordered an 11 based on a lot of reviews saying they run a little small. The length was good, but the toe box was a little snug. What really killed it for me was the lack of arch support. I have high arches and admit that I will gravitate towards a high arch shoe, but I can wear something with a little less support if I don't have them on for hours. These weren't going to do it for me... There's no shape to the insole at all... No arch support! When I take a step, I can see my foot caving inward due to lack of arch support. This is a recipe for foot pain and ankle injuries. Back these go and I'm trying again! :(

it has an add shape with fake leather top and its zero support --even though it was a size 11 , my big toe was touching the tip of the shoe

This shoe is incredibly narrow for an "Extra Wide." New Balance has gone to crap; they no longer produce quality shoes with consistent sizing. At the very least, "wide" shoes should have a rounded toe. The toe on this shoe is narrow and pointy and the forefoot is narrow. Hey New Balance: just marking a shoe 2E doesn't make it any wider!

So very disappointed in New Balance. I have worn this size for at least 10 years. Now they are too tight to even try to walk in them. Description states SL2 last which means a wider than normal toe box--now the toe box is tight! All 3 pairs that I ordered are being returned. I am very disappointed. Guess I'll have to look for a different brand after probably 20 years of wearing New Balance tennis shoes!

I have a very narrow foot, but this shoe was too narrow in the toe box. Plus, even though I ordered up a half size from normal, it was too short.

The shoes I bought three times, the WC1006v1, were not available, so I got the tennis shoes because they were available in my size. I liek to buy narrow tennis shoes. They are hard as a rock. I will have to find something else.

I love NB. I ordered my size and width. These run small. Shoe is very hard. Not soft in any way. I put my foot in it and even if it did fit I would return them. Felt like a clog :(
