This is a great shoe! I really liked the 859's and I was disappointed that they are no longer being produced. But I'm going to like this shoe!

This shoe was perfect to size fit and comfort. I have a wide foot but ordered a regular and fit comfortably so much I ordered a second pair for the gym. Thumbs Up!!!

I broke my ankle and need to wear an ankle boot... This shoe gave perfect support, lift, and was the size I needed. I will only shop Zappos for my shoe needs... They always have what I need! Thanks Zappos!

I was very impressed with how quickly I received the product. It fits perfectly and I am very satisfied with these shoes. Great for wider width and very comfortable.

Out of the box comfort - These are roomy, solid yet light, and comfortably supportive. I have worn the brand and style for years and they never disappoint. I often take an 8.5, but order these in a 9 so I can put a substantial cotton sock inside them, and the toe box is roomy and comfortable.

Haven't actually worn them outside yet due to interminable winter but if you have wide feet these are a good bet at 4E contrary to many others that are supposedly 4E, "extra wide" etc. Nike's were a joke for instance.

Thank you, Zappos, for having a pair of my work-out shoes. This is the first time I have found my size. I saved a lot and I buy 4 pair/year, so it is a bit expensive to buy them in the one store that carries them.

I'm an active girl with some mean bunions. These shoes never let me down. Run, walk, whatever, they get me through the day! Great Service as always! I always buy my shoes from Zappos.

My daughter and I both wear these gym shoes and love them. They are particularly comfortable for individuals with wide feet!

It seems to be well-made shoe, definitley more so than the WX711v2, which I tried at the same time (which is $30 less). The heel was a tad too narrow, and the shoe made my feet look huge, so am sending them back.

I bought these shoes because I walk on the outside of my feet. I guess that's called Excessive Supination. Thanks to research and the help of the search function within Zappos I found these shoes. I have a narrow foot which makes finding shoes a challenge. I was able to go on long walks with them immediately and could tell the shoes were making a difference in the way I walk. I just wish I hadn't purchased white...wow, they're bright!

I really like these shoes but they are almost too stiff. Am hoping with more miles they will loosen up. Part is my issue as I have a fused foot so need support. I have bought the 928 and they are not as stiff.

Good looking, comfortable shoe. Still doesn't provide the level of arch support my old New Balance's do, but they're a decent substitute. Holds my foot and knee steady while walking.

I need cross trainers in a narrow width, and these fit very well. Unfortunately, the soles are structured such that they squeak very loudly on hard floors. I haven't yet decided to return them, but I don't think I can wear these to fitness/dance classes with the very loud squeaking with every step.

When I first tried them on I really loved the support etc., but after a few minutes wearing them around the house I discovered that due to bunion problem I have been advised by my orthopedic doctor that I must now wear only wide shoes at the toe area. He actually recommended this shoe for the support (I have ankle problems as well) and unfortunately I have to return them.

Zappos is an excellent company to use for mail order shopping. I loved the style of the shoe. I have worn New Balance 812 for years and changed to 857 to have something a little different. I'm very hard to fit, but found this shoe to have a good full toe box and support. The tongue was cut too large in the left shoe causing a fold that seems to be permanent since I have been unable to remove.

I wear a 2E in width. The shoe was true to width and length. I had to return it because the extra fabric on the sides of the tongue rubbed the top of my foot.

This shoe runs VERY narrow. I actually had to go to a 4E (the first time ever!). Other than that, it's a very comfortable shoe for my everyday needs. It's a bit low on the sides, so I don't know it if would work for exercises where you're doing a lot of lateral/side-to-side moves. It's also a bit lighter than it looks.

Pretty good, but the toe seams hit right at the widest part of my foot. Had to return. (Had purchased 6, 4E width.)

Great cross-training shoe, good support and sturdy for side-to-side motions. The only negative, they are very large in size. I have size 5 and these are almost 1 inch too big.

This shoe has great support and is very comfortable. The only problem is it squeaks when I walk. This has happened before with this shoe. I usually order the shoe again until I find a pair that don't squeak.

Good quality shoe that is a true 4E width - HOWEVER - the style puts a seam right at the knuckle of the big toe (the bunion area). I'm not sure why NB would do this - unless they no longer understand the wide width foot does not like to be pinched. Otherwise a good shoe. Unfortunately I will return them.

New Balance has been updating these shoes each year or so with a new version and each one has always felt the same as the ones that came before, with a nice wide toe box. However, the 857's feel much narrower than the 856's that I have and I'm disappointed that they somehow changed the footbed. I will be ordering a wider size to see if that is better.

The toe box on this shoe was narrower than other 7.5 EEEEs (yes, 4E). It crimped my little toe. I'm returning them!
