I bought these because I wanted the packable quality, but I didn't like that they felt so much cheaper due to the thin rubber. I understand that's what makes them packable, but I didn't think it was worth it in the long term. I returned them.

I am very happy with my tours! Sizing was tough though and had to return two times to size up. I wear an 8½ and reviews said to size down but no way - Hunters need an orthotic insert to keep feet warm and foot support so went from 7 then 8 and ended up with size 9 and am totally happy! They are my narrow in toe are and sizing up helped. They are super light and not sweaty and feel so much better not lugging around the heavier original style! I am 5'4" and they hit a little lower than my knee cap. My left boot is permanently bent at top rim area from sitting weird in box with shipping not sure if shipping/packing issue or design flaw? These are a staple in my wardrobe whether its raining or not! They are so cute and stylish and I love that they are casual but not too casual that I can't wear them to the office. I am about 5'7" and I will say these are tall boots, they go up just below my knees which I normally wouldn't choose, but the fit is great. My calves are a little on the slimmer size, and its really hard finding boots, especially tall boots that aren't super baggy. They aren't too tight, but just perfect! Im thinking of purchasing some liners/hunter socks but honestly they are just as cute without them! The first two days I did have to break them in a tad, and my feet were a little sore, but after that they are so comfortable and lightweight. I love wearing these with skinny jeans and leggings. I would absolutely recommend them! I have had them for a few weeks and they have held up so well in the rain and winter weather. They are a bit pricey, but when you consider the quality and how long they will last, its totally worth it. I get compliments on them all the time! :)

I have very arched feet and I love these shoes however I think I was gardening or something and I happen to scuff the shoe. This is a rubber boot, a very pretty one at that too, but if you use this shoe as the brand is advertised (run through muddy terrain, hike through a forest) the idea of the boot being scuffed is far from belief. I was mortified. The shoe itself is great for walking in the rain though sometime you may slip so be careful. I have not had any callouses during wear so I would encourage people to wear these boots. I love the brand itself.

I am on the thinner side with thinner calves and I always have a hard time finding boots that don't look ridiculous on me. These specific boots fit just right. I am able to wear socks and jeans with it but if you have larger calves you will have an issue with these. They are on the lighter side but I see no issue in that. I am not using them on a farm, I am just using them as rain boots and they are durable enough. Also, I always order 1/2-1 size up in boots because I wear socks, I read the review that these ran large and they do. All my rain boots are a size 7 except these, which they are a size 6.

These are lightweight, and comfortable for wear all day. I was a little hesitant to purchase these, as I had seen reviews saying they were cheaply made.The only issue I've had is they show scuffs and they don't wipe off, so be careful when folding them up so that the buckles isn't allowed to scratch the rubber. They do feel larger than the size, but I saw that this was to allow for welly socks and so I purchased them and along with the boot they keep my feet nice and toasty as well as stylish! The only thing is they are a bit uncomfortable to drive in, as they bunch up in the back and poke your Achilles area.

Highly recommend them for city dwellers and commuters! I am usually 9, occasionally 8.5 but these were great in a 9. I have skinny heels and put an insole in to stop the heel from slipping when I walk. The boot is much lighter than the original and way more flexible so they're more comfortable for long walk to work and everyday wear in the spring. I wouldn't recommend them for regular use in snow, rocky or wooded areas since the rubber is thin. I love being able to roll these up into the bag and throwing them in my duffel. They are pricey but it's totally worth it to have rain boots that travel! Just be sure to take care of them and rinse them off every so often and they'll last.

These were just ok on me. The foot size was perfect (generally 8 in flats, 8.5 in heels, 9 in atheletic shoes.) My calves are a little bit more muscular than these boots allowed. The narrowness of the shaft worked better on the stiffer boots (not the tour), but I ended up with the back adjustable ones to be able to fit my jeans in.

Very fashionable. I get a lot of compliments. These keep my feet dry. I recommend the insulating socks if wearing in snow conditions. These seem durable- but are not heavy duty- do not go kicking anything in these. I plan to buy another pair in a different color. I went with my normal size based on other reviews- size 7- were slightly big, leaves room for the insulating socks. I measured my calf before buying so I knew.

This boot is very lightweight and flexible, could easily be rolled to pack for travel. But as a consequence, the sole seemed too thin to be comfortable on pavement or uneven terrain. My usual shoe size is 9N; ordered a 9 and it was huge on me -- at least one size too large. Will try another style. Thanks, Zappos, for easy returns. Best shoe shopping ever!

LOVE these boots! Have had mine for just over a year and wear at home in Michigan during the rainy season and when traveling to NYC in the winter and spring (they pack like you wouldn't believe!). On this last trip to NYC, they developed a tear right along the footbed. Needless to say I was disappointed, as the boots are not worn that often. I called Zappos and they were wonderful (as usual!). They are sending a replacement pair and handled the situation very graciously. I can't wait to have these boots back in action. They are great to travel with and comfortable to wear.

I have an Original Hunter boot that I purchased over 15 years ago. Fifteen years ago Hunter was still made in Scotland or Wales and believe it or not, the boots are still perfect. No cracks or splits. Living in the PNW, I used the boots almost 6 + months out of the year for running messy errands, Home Depot, gardening etc...but decided I needed a nice pair for walking around town so I purchased another pair, the bright raspberry. The raspberry pair lasted 3 years and just yesterday I had to throw them away for splitting, cracking and letting water in. I feel the design should be stream lined more to the real shape of a foot so there are not so many stress and bend points as one walks. I feel this is the reason they crack. I wear a 8.5, even with size 8, they are a bit big.

I finally bought these boots once they went on sale. I have a pair of the Original Hunter boots so I didn't NEED another pair but I thought they would come in handy for travel, and it's always nice to have color options. I was nervous about the fit because of other reviews; the shaft of the Original Hunter boots I own are tight but not uncomfortable, so I thought these may not work, but they fit just about the same! The boot of these feels perhaps slightly smaller around the foot but that worked for me. Because of their packable nature, these boots are a lot lighter and somewhat less shapely than the normal ones, which is why I only gave it 4/5 stars for style--however, this may change if you have a thinner calf. Also, because they are lighter, they feel a lot less supportive and I felt myself being very careful how I walked in them because of their thinness. Overall I am happy with them at their sale price and excited to have them for travel.

Purchased for my daughter and she absolutely loves them. She is generally an 8N. The 8 fit perfectly.

These boots ran just a tad small. I can see my the shape of my toe in the toebox. Didn't seem bad at first but with socks they are kind of uncomfortable when wearing the for a while. I also have skinny calves, but they seemed the tightest at my calf. Which is uncomfortable if you are wearing leggings, jeans or welly socks. going to exchange them for the larger size.

I wanted to love these since they were on sale and are so much lighter than my original hunters. Unfortunately the very top of the boot (I guess you could call it the lip?) turns inward and rubbed the inside of my leg. I only noticed it since I was wearing shorts when i tried them on, but i double checked and my original tall hunters do not do this. I was worried the rubbing would eventually tear up my jeans (and especially leggings) so i returned them. I have skinny legs, so I think these are just cut a strange. Or maybe I got a bad pair. Either way, I returned them for another pair of original tall hunters.

Really nice boot but and light weight. However the calf is too tight to accommodate sock and pants. I have to return them.

Initially I was really pleased with these boots, they are comfortable, lightweight and stylish, but they really do not last. After about 12 months they split on the sides and ceased to be waterproof, and are therefore now useless as gumboots. I would pass on the ‘packability’ gimmick and just buy the normal weight or field/performance boots. For the price they really should be lasting 5+ years. As a side note: yes they are slim so won’t suit well developed calves, and I would say they are true to size, do not size up/down, purchase according to your EU shoe size. Note: They should fit like a gumboot not a ballet flat.

Really love the look of these boots but going to have to return. They are way too narrow in the calf. I don't have big calves but these won't even go over my pants. They need to be wider in the calf area.

The boots are very nice looking but are tight in the top by the calf. I don't have large calfs (just fit) so I'm not sure why they were so snug with just skinny jeans on? Had to exchange for adjustable ones which I haven't received yet.

I purchased these boots 7 months ago and now the material has cracked and the boots are no longer waterproof. The only good thing is the fit; they are very comfortable.

I'm slightly disappointed with these boots. Although they are lighter than the original and have a shorter shaft, because they are made to travel with, they aren't as sturdy and they are very bendy. I would buy the original hunter boots instead. These feel and look very similar to fishing boots. Also, I am a 6.5 shoe and tried both the 6 and the 7. The 7 worked better when I tried them on with thick socks and put the insert.

I so wanted these boots to work out, but like many other reviewers have written, the calves were so tight. I wear a 4 in clothes and don't think of my calves as being that big, but I could not wear these boots with jeans or boot socks. If you have small calves, these are great boots.

I have to return these for the adjustable back Hunters. I am 5'4", 165 lbs. my calves are athletic and big. Didn't fit but I know after reading the reviews for the adjustable back style, they will fit over my calves. I will add some arch support. The interior seems it will keep my feet warm with a tall wool sock. Live in Wisconsin, winters are harsh, I will be able to wear for at least 3 seasons. Well made, quality boot. Very cute with long sweater and black thick tights. If you have large calves, buy the adjustable backs! Can't wait to wear. Thanks Zappos for making this a very fast and easy process.
