I wish that these boots came with shaft circumference options. I'm 6' tall and the shaft is just too tight when I'm wearing socks and pants tucked in.

I ordered both the Tours and the Tall boots and much preferred the Talls. If traveling with your Hunters is important I'd say get the Tours, but I didn't like the way they bent and gaped at the ankles. I also thought they were narrower in the toes than the Talls. I ended up getting the Talls.

I love the boots, just wish they were not so tight through the calf. The socks are not comfortable with the boots...not enough room due to the slim cut of the boot.

Unfortunately need to return these boots because they're too tall for me, hit me in the back of the knee when I walk. I'm just under 5' tall. Wear my short Hunter boots (with added orthotics for arch support) all the time, with and without "Wellie Socks" depending on the season. Love them. Had been hoping these lighter, more flexible boots would work for travel, but they're an inch or two too high for me. Wish this style came in a shorter height.

I am 5’2 and 110 pounds and I normally wear size 6. I ordered size 6 and I think a size down to 5 would be better a better fit over time the break in and get looser. So you want them snug.

Love my Hunter boots, but don’t expect them to last longer than a year or two. For me, I needed function with fashion. Nothing too extreme...just dog walks and some yard work. Apparently too much to ask. First, the out layer of boots started to peal after 1 year-18 mths, which honestly didn’t bother me much. But then the cracks started right around 24 mths. Initially, I patched the cracks with rubber sealant. But cracks keep growing and showing up. For price of boots, really disappointed in long term quality.

Shaft fit better than the original tall boot, but it was still too tight to comfortable wear skinny jeans with the boots. The ankle and foot were too loose, and looked sloppy when walking.

I had these boots for three months and the thin lining inside the boot tore so badly that my foot literally got stuck inside the boot. Took my husband to pry it off. I am hoping it is just a fluke and does not happen again. For the price, they should last longer than 3 months. I am usually a 9 and ordered an 8 and it fit perfectly.

This is my second pair of Hunters. I was really excited about this and love how they look, but they aren't really long-lasting. I've had this pair for just over a year (which means my warranty is void) and they already have splits along the seams. This is not something fun to discover when you are walking through a puddle. I live in Chicago so I wear these a LOT for rainstorms and I feel that for this price they should last longer than a year.

I chose "felt a full size larger" as it relates to the first pair I received, but I would say "felt a half size smaller" on the second pair. Most of my shoes are a Size 10 -- have one 9.5 and a couple of 10.5s, and I wear a narrow in some shoes. So I ordered a Size 11 after reading reviews that said there is little padding. I thought I could order them larger then put in inserts to make them more comfortable. The other reviews are correct -- there is no additional padding, just the rubber the boots are made from. The Size 11s were huge -- length and width -- felt like I put on my dad's shoes. So, I put in the thickest inserts I could find, but the boots were still huge. Then I tried with inserts and thick socks (which I normally wouldn't wear with rain boots). They were still way too big! The calves, even on the 11s, fit me pretty well (I have thin calves so I would say calves run on the smaller side). I sent the 11s back and got 10s. My toes touch the end of the 10s. What gives? There should not be this much difference in a change of 1 size. I could have worn the 10s if I had to, but for the price, I sent the 10s back, too. Disappointed!

They're cute and not super bulky for someone with a small frame. However, don't waste your money. After a year and half or so [15-20 wears], my Hunter Original Tour Boots started splitting and the matte finish is peeling all over. I kept them in my closet with my other boots...it's not like they lived in the shed or anything. I patched the holes with bicycle tire patches, but there's nothing I can do about the peeling. Super disappointing since I paid $150 for them a few years ago.

I had a not so good experience with Zappos recently. I received Hunter Original Tour Packable Rain Boots without the original box and the drawstring backpack. How did I know? I ordered what was recommended to me based on other purchases at Zappos. I wear size 8 and ordered 8. However, upon receipt I realized that they were too big. When I decided to place another order for size 7, the new order arrived and it came in Hunter original box with a drawstring bag! So, somehow Zappos decided to full me and send me somebody else's order and pay the full amount for it. Really? I am disappointed that they allow it to happen. Beware!

How incredibly disappointing! I've wanted a pair of Hunter boots for the longest time, but they're going back. First, I get what ladies say about not fitting their calves. Pretty tight and they just barely fit mine, but the real problem is they don't hold their shape on your leg. They're all krinkley looking....AWFUL. I thought these were going to be strong rubber boots I could wear boot socks with, etc. but they're floppy/flimsy??? Sigh.......

This is the first time I have ever had a quality issue with a purchase from Zappos. However, these boots are defective. After only 2 wears the inner lining pulled away from the heel on both boots. It is very thin and poorly adhered. Since it was mainly cosmetic, I decided to keep the boots, believing it was a fluke. I have worn them less than 10 times and now there is a 2-inch split at the side seam where the boot curves to meet the sole. The boots take in water, rendering them completely useless. I have followed all care instructions and kept them in immaculate condition. This is clearly a manufacturing defect. I am severely disappointed Zappos would carry these and charge so much for them. I have gotten more use out of a $20 pair of rain boots from Target.

Beware, stylish but POOR QUALITY. I expect a seasonably used rain boot to last longer than 3 years. If you want fashion, go for it. If you want durability, don't buy it. Zappos only suggested I contact Hunter to report POOR QUALITY. They did not care since boot only guaranteed for a year and I bought it 3 years ago. Now I know when to use Zappos and when not!

Disappointed as the Hunter company saw the picture I'd sent them of the difference in the original boot I'd ordered from Zappos was not like an actual Hunter company boot suspicious of the authenticity of the boots I have just received. Would like to upload picture I took of new boot received next to the authentic, original boot.
I'd also recommend:
Purchasing from original company!

Fourteen months after purchase, both boots are cracked straight through just above the ankles and the back seams are starting to get holes as well. That is more than an inconvenience in a rain boot! I don't wear them in the winter and only to walk the dog in the wet grass. So perhaps I actually wore them for 6-8 months before they became useless. I contacted Hunter and received the following email: We have reviewed your pictures and proof of purchase. Unfortunately, the boots that you own are The Original Tour boots. Please see the warranty policy below as it states that "The Original Tour" boots are not covered under warranty. They offered me a discount coupon for another pair? So just be advised that if you buy these boots, you are on your own.

I bought the Hunter Tour boot almost exactly two years ago after shopping around very thoroughly. I wanted a pair of rain boots that would last, so I splurged on the Hunter brand. That was a huge mistake. After about a year and a half of regular wear (I live in a city in the mid-Atlantic, so think sidewalks and pretty intermittent use) the right book developed a large tear. The boots leak horribly now, and when I went to Hunter for help, I was told repeatedly that there was nothing they could do. The company simply does not stand behind its products. Apparently these rather expensive boots are not meant to last more than a year or so. In any event, I say save your money or, if you are going to invest, invest in a different brand. These boots will not last, and the company could care less.

I'm so disappointed in the quality of this boot. They scuff so easily, and not the type of scuff you can wipe away. The finish comes right of the rubber and leaves a scratch. I bought these last Fall, and there is a rip in the seam on the footbed, making them useless as rain boot if I step in a puddle. They were not made well, you pay for the name, not quality.

I loved these boots until six months after I purchased them the cracked along the sole. Hunter does not warranty their Tour boots and cobblers can't really fix them. I was quite disappointed in Hunter as a brand and incredibly disappointed that I couldn't wear my boots out anymore. I wish I could go back and buy the regular Hunter boots for their durability and warranty.

This boot ripped only after 3 months of light wear. Since these are supposed too be foldable, I thought that they wouldn't tear in the creases, but only after a couple of months the front ripped where the foot naturally bends. Also this is the only boot not covered under warranty. So disappointed with the product. It didn't even last one season without tearing. Don't buy these and buy the Wellington's that are covered under warranty just in case.

I bought these boots to take with me on a mid-winter excursion to London. I thought for sure that I had finally found the perfect footwear for a VERY wet and rainy city in February. Well, I was wrong. After walking in the rain for an hour or so, I went back to the hotel, took off the boots and realized that my socks were WET! I couldn't believe it. These boots look like they can withstand a flood. I simply walked along in the rain, didn't seek out puddles or any other standing water. The next day, I put them on again, went out sight seeing and came back to hotel to find the same problem: wet socks. They are supposed to be "travel" boots that fold up and fit nicely in a suitcase. Well, they did do that, but I didn't really want to be hauling around a pair of boots for two weeks that did not keep my feet dry. I don't know if this pair I bought was defective, or what...perhaps others have had better experiences with these boots. I'll be returning these boots within the week.
