This is an update to my original review. Initially I loved these shoes and they are indeed very comfortable. I have only worn them to work for a week or two and they already look VERY worn and are scuffing in ways that are not fixable. I am a Dental Hygienist so it is not like I am putting these shoes to the test by any means other than by standing for long periods of time. My last pair of shoes I had for over two years and though they scuffed, I could use white polish and spiff them up. This material is falling apart after only a few wears. Poor quality materials alert!

I work as a server with 6 hour shifts. This shoe is very comfortable. My feet don't hurt while I'm working and they are very slip resistant. I still walk carefully when I'm in the kitchen but I never feel like my feet are sliding on the floor. My feet are stiff after a shift but compared to the other shoes I have worn, these are the best. They may not be the prettiest shoes, but I will order another pair of these once my current one are worn out.

These are very comfortable. I wore them an entire day right off the bat and had no problems. They do run very small and narrow. It took three attempts to get the right size. Zappos was so easy to return. I had no problems.

NURSE MATES MEREDITH FOR THE WIN! I have been hunting for the past few MONTHS for shoes that fit, were comfortable, fit my aesthetic, and could perform and I finally found them! The Dove was OK though not comfy enough for me to re-order them. Many brands and styles were tried and I was starting to lose hope and try to settle with something when I found these. It was love at first wear. Once I had them on my feet I could feel how comfy they were, they fit like a glove, no heel slip, no sole slippage, cute but understated. Clogs are not my thing. I love athletic shoes but need something that cant be pierced. These were just right. My feet are also on the small size (4.5-5) and everything else I tried was HUGE and there were not options for a smaller size. These may run a little small for some. The size 5.5 was a perfect fit for me. Initially I was concerned about how my toes get "sandwiched" and thought they be too snug, but once they are worn for an hour or two they loosen up a bit, and I am keeping them stuffed when they are not being worn which helps. This week of full time wear at work has been glorious and I have not thought about my feet at all.

Putting these shoes on was like sinking my feet into BUTTER! After I wear these for a couple of weeks, if they are still heavenly, I'm going to order another pair - just in case. Super comfortable, perfect fit, and nice looking too.

These shoes are AWESOME! I usually walk over 20,000 steps in a shift and I’m still going strong at the end. They look professional and not like a traditional “nurse shoe” so that’s a big plus! Hope they never stop making this shoe!

I got these shoes for a serving job in an upscale restaurant. They feel a bit narrow, but are adjusting the longer I wear them. They are comfortable and look nice as well. I originally ordered an 8.5, when I received them they were too small. So, I call to exchange them for a 9. Let me start by saying that this was one of the simplest and most polite customer service experiences I have ever had. This was Friday, and I was told I wouldn't have my new pair by wednesday because of memorial day which is understandable. So, imagine my surprise when UPS drops them off the very next day from next day shipping. I just want to commend Zappos for their quality products and outstanding customer service.

This is a cute shoe that I could wear for business and a food show. However, it runs small. Disappointed because I like the quality and style. Need to return.

These are not slip resistant like they claim. I bought them for a kitchen job. They don’t serve that purpose. There’re very comfortable though. I wear them on my days off.

If you have to have this type of shoe for work, it's a good option. Very sturdy and comfortable. I had to have something like this for a temp retail position. I wear a size 10 and it fit fairly true to size, not generous but ok.

I like my toes to have some room and generally wear a size 10 shoe, but sometimes a size 11-- depending on the brand. In this shoe I definitely needed the larger size, because I could not even get my foot into the size 10. As far as comfort goes these shoes are great. Lots of cush, nice support, roomy toe area, and I like the no slip tread on the bottom. However, the black ones are much shinier than they appear in the picture, to the degree that look like vinyl rather than leather. I was looking for a comfort shoe that could crossover into office wear and these, unfortunately, are not them.

I have plantar fasciitis in one heel and struggle to find shoes that can handle that and also look good at work. These fit the bill nicely. My only complaint is that the width on one foot feels different than the other. Not sure if it's my feet, but I'm hoping they'll stretch a bit with wear.

These are my new favorite work shoes - been buying them for a couple years now. I’m not a nurse but on my feet all day. Need white shoes in summer & black in winter. Much nicer than wearing sneakers.

These shoes are the BEST! They look like a dressier loafer so no one knows you are wearing a nursing shoe all day long! No slipping, comfortable all day, and very long lasting. I’ve worn these for years and LOVE them. I don’t know what I’ll do if they ever quit making these...please don’t! Best shoe ever!!!!

It was a little snug for socks

Nurse Mates Meredith, in Black. 8.5W. The most comfortable out of the box shoe I've ever had. I am not a nurse, but I do have difficulties with my feet and need good arch support and cushion. I usually have to use my custom orthodics, but not with these shoes. I only wish they offered them in brown. These look nice with dress pants at work, which is what I use them for. Comfy and not too "clinical" if you know what I mean. I want the comfort of a working shoe, while still maintaining a bit of classic style as well. Love these.

Love these! Very comfortable

Love! Love! Love this shoe. It looks like a casual loafer but the inside in like floating on a cloud. I'm on my feet a lot when I wear this shoe and my feet do not hurt. I wish they came in a brown. Comfortable with no "break in" needed!

I purchased these for Dental Hygiene school. I was looking for a nursing type shoe that didn't have a heel like all the other ones seem to have. These are flat enough for me and I don't seem to be super high in them. I did go a half size down from my regular shoe size only because I wouldn't be wearing a normal sock with them. I am required to wear a think panty hose type sock. So the half size down was perfect, if I would have gone with my regular size my foot would have been slipping out the back. As far as comfort goes, I am used to wearing asics running shoes with maximum cushion and support so with that said when I put these on they felt as hard as a brick. I ended up buying a new insert for them and well not as good as my asics they will do. If asics made nursing shoes my feet would be in heaven..dreaming..otherwise great shoe for the price compared to the other nursing shoes I have tried on.

This is my second pair of these shoes .. I wore the first pair out! I had hip replacement surgery and found out very quickly that depending on what pair of shoes I wore I could count on having "aches and pains" the next day. I was going on vacation and knew I needed a shoe that I could walk long distances in and not "hurt" the next day. Well these exceeded my expectations. The only criticism I have is that they only come in white. Although black are shown they aren't of the same material or construction. I had to send the black ones back. So wearing white after Labor Day isn't an option .... my feet, back and legs are more important than social convention.

True to size. Soft leather. Very comfortable first time wearing. This is my third pair.

My first pair didn't last called and they had no problem given me a replacement pair they arrived looking like they were made from two different grades of leather called them back and again no problem replacing them and yes they provided a shipping label this company will defiantly do what it takes to make things right. I will always by my work shoes from them cant beat the service they give you!

I love these shoes! I was able to immediately wear them for my whole 12 hour nursing shift without breaking them in and they were very comfortable.
