I was looking for a jacket that would be waterproof yet breathable and warm and this seems to fit the bill. I haven't used it in the rain yet, but I have used it in cold weather (< 40) and it kept me nice and toasty. The thumbholes in the sleeves is a nice touch. Based on the other reviews I got a Large even though I'm normally a medium. The arms are just the right size with the Large, but the rest of the jacket is a little big and boxy. It's not a very flattering fit, but since I wanted to layer this over other winter clothes (sweaters, hoodies, etc), the extra room is acceptable. Just wish it was a little more shapely/tapered in the waist. It packs down pretty small which is a plus for traveling. I'm happy with my purchase.

I wanted to love this jacket. I love the omni heat feature, it is super light and packable. The sizing was off for me though. Super tight in the shoulders and hips, i could barely zip the medium. The large zipped but was too big everywhere else. So bummed! Totally recommend this jacket if you have the right body type!

I have 3 other Columbia Coats all in size Large. Ordered this in a Large and it was very big. The sleeves went down past my knuckles (and I have long arms) and are wide. Ordered the Medium and it fits okay. The sleeve length is better and I can use the thumb holes with ease still but the cut at the hips is narrow. I am 5'11" 145 lbs and have small hips.

Can't comment on the functionality because the size hinders that a lot. The quality is obviously there though, solid seems, symetrical everywhere. Bought a size L because the product description says it runs small AND it's the "active" fit. I'm 135lbs, 5'3, bust / waist / hip of 31 / 25 / 39 so I went up a size in the hip to be safe. Wish I hadn't. Even with a large sweatshirt underneath, I'm still swimming in this coat.

This jacket was quite thin for a puff-style jacket. That was pretty nice. I found it was no flattering on my petite body frame, and the arms were about 3 inches longer than my arms. Very comfortable jacket though.

I was looking for a warm, but lightweight jacket and this one has been perfect. When I first received it, I could not believe how thin it was, but I went outside in 20 degree weather the next day and my upper body stayed warm under the jacket. This is huge for me because I am always cold. As for fit, I'm 5'1" and have a small, athletic build and I probably could have gotten the XS, but I bought the small. It's bigger over thinner clothing, but buying the small meant that I could wear this over a sweatshirt or a thick sweater and not feel like my arms couldn't move.

Not as warm as I wanted it to be. Not a freezing temp jacket by any means!

The jacket is so warm and light weight. I had the vest and was so happy with it I ordered the jacket. My only complaint is the thumb holes in the sleeves, I don't like them and did not know they were there when I ordered. Overall though, I'm very happy with it.

My jacket is exactly what I was looking for. It's made of quality materials and has all that I wanted in a jacket. I bought the coral color coat and it's an awesome color. The thumb holes are an amazing addition to the coat. I would definitely buy another Columbia product.

I fell in love this this jacket but unfortunately it didn't fit. And they were all out of stock! I'm very bummed out but my sister fell in love with it too and now it's hers. I just wished I would have fit me but now I know to order one size smaller.

I was looking for a winter jacket that allowed me movement and no bulk, especially while driving. This jacket does just that! I also love that it fits really well over my bustier chest which is always a huge factor when buying a jacket online! The only con I have with the jacket is I am a short girl and I have a really short torso so the jacket is a little snug at my hips but not enough to not be able to wear it. Overall I am very happy with it.

I really like this jacket. It's great for those cool days where a hoodie isn't quite enough but you don't want anything too bulky. I would have given this jacket a 5 star rating but I was as bit frustrated with the sleeve length. I'm 5'10 and usually wear a medium. I went up to a large to get more length which I got but still can't comfortably use the thumb holds. The sleeves are long enough but just barely. So if you have longer arms like me and length is as issue place your order accordingly.

I was looking for a lightweight winter jacket that was warm for my teenage daughter. She wanted this particular brand and so far so good. We got the extra large so she could layer on extra cold days. It's fashionable and warm.

Very light weight and keeps me warm while I walk the dogs. On colder days, around 40 or so, you can really feel the wind. If this was a wind stopper as well, I would have given it a 5. It also runs a bit tight in the hips but overall, it's a nice fall jacket.

The coat itself is good quality, light weight, the cuff features a thumb hole so no wind can go up sleeves, zips easily, and nice high collar keeps the heat in and wind and cold out. It is nice because it is so light and easy to move around in. Not bulky like most coats. Love the reflective lining! It does keep you nice and warm. The Cons are the sizing. I bought a Med., and Large because of the mixed reviews on the sizing. I am 5'4" and 157lbs with broad shoulders and size C bra. The Med. was too tight across my chest to zip up. The large was perfect except for I was wearing a t-shirt when I tried it on. If I had on a sweater or hoodie the coat could have been too constricting all over. I had my daughter-in-law try them on. She has an hourglass figure with size D bra. She usually wears a Med. and she too liked the large size fit but felt the same way (if she was wearing a thicker shirt the coat would have been too small all over. I would say if your not a slim build or have a larger chest size go with at least a large or X large size. I was disappointed I had to send the coats back and reorder. It was on sale and I got it at a great price but the shipping (you have to pay to ship the items back out of your own pocket) cost me more than what I saved in the sale price. Wish this company gave its customers a prepaid label.

I bought the white jacket and its indeed smart. But its not warm enough. I stay in New Jersey and it was a cold winter for us this year. And even with the heat reflective technology and down fill this jacket did not serve the purpose. Its only good for temperatures in 30s...

I have the longer version of this coat and I loved it so much I bought the shorter one. When I first bought this I was a little uncertain about its warmth because it is so light and thin, but it has definitely delivered. My only complaint is that the zippers aren't the same quality of my other columbia goods and the insulation peeks out once in a while so I have to trim it. Any concerns of mine are negligible compared to how much I enjoy this product. If only it was waterproof...

Love the lightweightness of the jacket and the blue color is gorgeous. Jacket seems to do a very good job keeping me warm in temps between 20 degrees and 0 degrees. Will need to do more layering if it gets colder. Had to get large size to ensure it closed over my hips. Usually wear size 6 or 8 pants. So sleeves are too long and I had to roll them over (about 4 inches). Not sure why the jacket is sized this way. Fortunately the shoulders are not unacceptably too wide. Would definitely recommend this jacket if you are looking for a lightweight, stylish winter coverup that does well in pretty cold temperature.

Was skeptical when I opened the box and saw how thin it was, but quickly tried it outside and was impressed with the warmth! I love the lining and thumb holes at the wrists. Could only be better with a hood. The black is a dull black and their is a pattern that I wasn't expecting. The treads are a little frizzy but not bad. Overall, I love it. I ordered a medium because the reviews said it ran small and I usually wear a small. The medium fits fine but I think a small would have fit fine also. Sleeves are a bit long too. Have worn it in zero degree weather and stayed warm!!

I like how light this coat is, I how white the white is, and I like the thumb holes. The pockets have a warm, soft lining, too - so, if I have to put bare hands in the pockets it feels good and helps keep them warm. It's not quite as flattering on my body as I'd hoped, but it does look good. I'm glad I bought it.

This jacket is so thin I didn't see how it could be warm but so far I have no complaints. I haven't been cold once since I started wearing it. It does have a very fitted cut so I would say that it runs slightly small. It looks good and I am very happy with it. I would certainly recommend it to others. I love the cut at the wrists as it keeps the cold air from going up my arms. The neck is looser, which I like, but a scarf would be a good addition it if it is really cold.

This jacket is very fitted and very thin which had me worried becuase I live in the bitter cold Chicago. Surprisingly this jacket is very warm. My favorite thing is the finger holes like running jackets have. It does run a little small and I don't think I will be able to wear a larger sweater underneath it.

This coat is wonderful! It keeps me warm and toasty even when it's really windy. The reflective liner is great and I do not regret the purchase. However I have only had the coat for one week but there already runs in the jacket. If i brush up against anything rough threads snag and tear. The material could be of better quality.
