As is expected from Frye, these are elegantly simple and beautifully well-made T-Straps. I was originally planning to return these shoes; I thought the flatness and minimalism of them would not be comfortable because I wear orthotics and have a terrible time with shoes that do nut have solid construction. However, I wore them around my house for a full day and stood/walked on a variety of floorings: concrete in my laundry room and garage; linoleum in my kitchen; carpeting up-and-down stairs and along hallways. The Rachel T performed truly outstandingly. My feet did not tire. The cushioning was surprisingly sufficient and supportive. Again, the shoes are beautifully designed; the leather is rich and strong-looking. And, the cupping around the heel adds a secure fit, even for my narrow heels. I tried these shoes with shorts -- awesome! -- a summer dress -- sophisticated! -- and a pair of white, long cargo pants -- dressy casual! Frye has once again lived up to its reputation for excellence in workmanship and aesthetically pleasing footwear. Try the Rachel T today!

I've had these sandals for 5 minutes and can tell that they're worth every penny. Good, strong leather and beautiful color (I got the cognac). It's like everything I've been looking for in a flat sandal all in one. The sole is thick enough that you don't feel like your walking on a flimsy piece of plastic, but still has enough "give" to bend with the foot. I only took a star off because their really slippery when you first put them on...will definitely be taking these to get some sole protectors/grips put on them. I like that the sole is slightly padded and sewn all the way around the shoe...no glue marks here. I have a wide foot, and usually wear an 8 M, bought an 8.5 M because the 8 was out of stock. The straps move all around the shoe so they can be adjusted/tweaked a little for tightness/looseness. So, basically, and 8 will fit perfectly, and 8.5 will fit a little looser, but still great (takes care of foot swelling). Also note, the leather definitely needs some mink oil to keep it soft. Can't wait to go out in these!

Love them. I often have trouble with the sole flopping around when I walk in this style of thong sandal, but not with these; the fit is perfect. Love the fit, the style, the color (dark brown), and the sole even has a bit of cushioning to make them more comfortable. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, and the 9.5 is perfect.

These are gorgeous and well-crafted, minimal with just the right level of detail. I got the cognac color, which is a perfect medium brown that will go with everything. The straps make them feel secure for a sandal and they are very comfortable to walk in. I will likely add rubber soles to the bottom of these like I have with my Frye boots to improve their versatility in variable weather and comfort for the abundance of walking that I do in NYC. Like some other people have mentioned, when I first tried them on I found that the buckle hit right at my ankle bone and was uncomfortable. However, you can slide all of the straps around and I was able to get them adjusted so that the buckle does not hit right at the bony part of my ankle and their comfort is much improved. I ordered my standard size, 7.5, and they fit perfectly.

Fabulous! but I ordered 1/2 too small. Usually I order a 1/2 size smaller for Frye boots but this sandal runs true to your regular size.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I am usually at 5.5 but took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a 6. This shoe really isn't for narrow feet. The 5.5 would've been too small at the sole but the straps are very big. The buckle is in a really weird place. I was also not impressed with the color. Boo.

I love the style of these shoes but just could not get them to fit. The leather straps on the size 9, my normal size, were way too loose. The straps fit on the 8.5 but the length was too short. Had to send them back.

I ordered the blue because the color in the picture online was so pretty, and I have been looking for blue sandals. When I opened the box I thought they had sent the wrong sandals - they look completely black. When I look at the color on the inside of the straps I can see it has a slight blue tint to it. I know dyes for leather shoes can vary, but this sandal doesn't look blue at all, and I already have a million black sandals so I'm sending back. First Frye product that has ever disappointed me.

Love these! They are well made and comfortable. I went up to the next size because they felt a little narrow.

I love Frye...and these sandals didnt disappoint. I bought the same sandals in caramel color a couple of years ago, so when I saw them in black, I jumped on them. I've worn them everyday since.

I have these in the cognac & I love them. I wear them all the time in the summer months. I purchased the black on sale, but I didn't like them as well as the brown-personal preference, I guess. They soles are very slippery until you scuff them on some cement. I almost sent my brown ones back due to this, but once I learned that trick, I don't have to worry about slipping at all. Highly recommend if you like a comfortable, laid-back shoe that's easy to wear.

These are super cute and very comfortable. I found them a little narrow, so I went up a half size.

I ordered in the brown and I LOVE these shoes! They are moderately comfortable, the footbed is a hard material, but I think they'll form to my foot a bit as I wear them, but I never expect them to be super comfortable. That's not what these shoes are designed for. They are a good-looking sandal. LOVE the design and color. They stay sturdily fastened on my foot which makes walking in them easy.

I love these but I love all my Fryes! They are cute and comfy!

I LOVE this sandal so much that I bought it two or three years in a row. They last forever, but I rebought do to my foot darkening the bottom from so much use. I also own the black and both colors go with everything! Receive compliments whenever I wear them!

I've been wearing these almost every day since I bought them a week ago. They are super comfortable, and they are only improving as the leather gets softer. The straps hug my feet nicely and they don't flop around as I walk. 10/10 would buy again in a second (or third) color. I get the feeling that these are going to last forever. Totally worth the price tag. The only thing I was not expecting was a slight detail on the leather that I could not see online. There's a very faint light brown outline on the black leather straps. If you are worried about this, know that it's barely visible, and not at all visible to your eye once you stand up.

Great Frye sandal. Love the style and comfort. No "break-in" needed for these sweet sandals. So comfortable I don't know I'm wearing. Perfect to dress up or down.

Nicely made Frye sandals. Ordered 8.5 as sometimes 8 is bit small. Fits great. Only thing is leather bottom is slippery so needs scuffing up a bit.

I was nervous at first about how comfortable these would be - I usually need a lot of arch support - but after wearing these at work for about a week and walking around to do errands in them, they feel surprisingly amazing! Even though they've got a minimal design, they're not flimsy in the least. They took a little time to break in, only because the bottoms were so slick I needed to walk around a bit to texturize them so I wasn't slipping all over the place. I will say, I wish they were like half a size bigger (I got a size 11). By the end of the day, when my feet are tired and puffy, my toes come right up to the edge of the sandal. Aside from that though, there's nothing I would change about them!

These sandals are a beautiful shade of blue and the leather is excellent quality. I am sorry I had to return them. The front half of the shoe is a strange shape and if your foot doesn't match that shape, your feet will hang over. Perhaps someone with a narrower foot would have better luck.

I ordered three similar pairs of shoes and these were the best. They have no arch support, but I wasn't expecting any. They are comfortable and well constructed. The way the heel is made is very nice compared to similar shoes, as it holds my heel in place and keeps it from sliding around.

These sandals are comfortable and very stylish! Because the straps are not affixed at every juncture, they can adjust very well to my very high instep! I wear a 7½M but have a very high instep and narrow heel. These fit beautifully! I absolutely love the combination of straps with the T front. My toes come very near the edge but do not hang off. I love the gray color, but am returning because I also ordered another pair of Frye sandals (the Carson Seam-T) to compare the gray color and preferred the deeper gray of the Carson Seam-T. I am keeping the Carson Seam-T in gray but have already ordered the Frye Rachael T in cognac - directly from Frye - since Zappos is out of stock in that color and my size. I have been a customer of Zappos since December of 2004, when my brother and sister-in-law gave me a gift certificate to Zappos for my birthday present! Zappos rockS! I may be nearly 64 years old, but I still love fabulous, stylish shoes!

These are really good looking shoes and I love them! They fit just right and are comfortable for walking. They are well made and sturdy feeling. I am hoping they will get just a little more flexible. The leather is on the heavy side which is great but it can be slightly uncomfortable after on a long time.

Love them. Comfy and required no "breaking in." The tan is a true neutral that goes with everything. Worth the price! I did not listen to other reviews about sizing up and had to send back my normal 7 for a 7.5. So size up!
