I've had these in my favorites for quite some time and finally got them after trudging through some heavy rains. With my larger calves, I thought these would work better as knee high boots never work unless I specifically purchase wide calf boots. Nope! These looked silly, they were much too wide, unfortunately. If I wore these out in a downpour, the water would just funnel right down to my feet, no thanks. I'm typically a 9.5 so I sized up to 10 and they were way too big. I'd recommend sizing down if you're between sizes like me. Bummer. And the quest for rain boots continues.

I really wanted to love this rain boot. I've been a long time fan of classic style rain boots and am always looking for good ones, which I hoped this one would be. But while the style and height were good, these boots ended up splitting on both in the same spot along my pinky toe base after not much use, maybe because they run on the narrow side for rain boots. Thanks to Zappos' excellent service (as always), I don't feel salty about it anymore, but I figured a rain boot at this price should last me more than 3 months of light wear.

I loved these at first, but after 6 months of infrequent wear, I stepped onto some wet grass and my foot was soaked! At this price, I expected them to hold up a bit longer. Very disappointed.

I bought these in spring of 2015 and since then have worn them between 15-25 times. The boots have cracked along the seam between the sole and the remainder of the boot. This has turned the rain boot into a rain BUCKET! Very frustrating!

I loved these boots when I first bought them, they are so cute and I enjoyed wearing them. However, less than two months after I bought them, my right boot got a tear about an inch in length on the top of the boot, right above the toes. I had to repair the tear with super glue which, as you can imagine, does not look very attractive. Besides the tear, the boots were great. So I am disappointed that my favorite shoes are now ruined.

I bought these in November. It is now April and the top cracked. For the price I expected them to last longer than a Target pair. Very disappointed.

I really like the foot part of the boot but the calf is so wide. I have "athletic calves" and this was far too big on me. It looked a little silly, to be honest. Returning! :(

I really like those and was very excited to get them. Unfortunately they cracked after about 1.5 months of daily use (walking dogs twice a day). Very disappointed.

Wanted to love these boots but they are way too wide in the calf. I wanted something other than the Hunter boots I see everywhere but wound up buying the Hunter short boot. Much better fit.

I don't know if my pair are defective, or what -- but they are not water-resistant, at all. My feet are usually soaked by the end of the day -- which is incredibly disappointing, considering their purpose. I also have pretty high arches and they're not particularly comfortable (but that's not my main problem with them).

These are cute, and I get compliments on them, but after only three wears, the insole is starting to buckle and pull away from the sole of the shoe which is really uncomfortable.

I wore these daily to walk my dog as they're easy to clean when you step in a mess. I replaced the insoles with Dr. Scholl's which made a big difference in comfort. They lasted less than 9 mos. which was a bummer. They cracked at the flex point across the boot. My foot is on the wider side, although I rarely order a wide width.

I was very disappointed with this product. I saw so many great reviews and decided to try them out because I live in the PNW and it rains a lot! I thought these would be a great rainboot, however they are not. I wore them a few times and the rubber started rubbing off and my first pair cracked! Zappos sent me a second and I was equally disappointed. I would not recommend these shoes if you need rainboots for all day use - they simply can't hold up.

Ankles and top part of boot were too wide! I returned thinking they were too large but the smaller size had the same problem. Then the inserts began shifted constantly as I was walking, making them uncomfortable and me having to stop and adjust them. They started becoming a hassle and hurting my feet. Waste of money.

DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU WANT TO REPLACE IN 2 MONTHS. I thought I loved... and then this happened. I live in the PNW. Muddy dog parks, puddles and colder weather. These boot were initially great - comfortable to walk in (even wore them all day once with no discomfort), easy to slip on and somewhat warm on the colder days. I've worn them in puddle-ridden parks, muddy dog parks and around the city. Then, one morning as I'm slipping them on, I discovered that both boots had the exact same crack in the exact same place. Not much of a water boot if they leak. I haven't even had them for one full season.

I bought a pair and less than a year later, with MINIMAL use, the rubber split. It wasn't even a seam, the rubber on the side of the boot just ripped apart. I contacted Chooka and after much emailing back and forth and sending photos, they offered to replace them for me, but new models now have leather on them. I don't wear leather and why would anyone want leather on RAIN BOOTS anyway? Also, the inner soles are not attached, which Chooka considers a "feature". This means that as you walk, the inner soles will bunch up under your feet and move around until you just remove them, and then the fabric lining will start to rip. Overall, I can't recommend this brand if you want to wear them for more than about 5 times.

Chooka boots might *look* good, but the overall quality is far from satisfactory. The bottom liner detached after three wears. After one season, the rubber cracked along the back seam and sides of both boots. There is no durability that you would expect for a rain boot. I had another pair years back and have no idea why I paid for another. Save your money and invest in something that will last.
I'd also recommend:
LL Bean, Hunter, Eddie Bauer, literally anything else.

The rubber on the upper portion of the foot split on both of the boots, in the same place, just after a year owning them. Poorly constructed. Would not purchase this brand again.

Not the greatest quality if you're looking for a long-lasting boot! I had these for a year and the rubber has split/cracked along the sides. Waste of money.

I bought these 2½ years ago because I have wide calves and these were the only ones that I could find that fit. I live in the Southeast and I do not get to wear them often but I loved when I got the chance until this past weekend. I put them on and noticed they had cracked open on top. After less than three years and light use, they are going to have to be thrown out. I would expect this with a cheap pair of rain boots from Walmart but these are expensive! I am very disappointed.

I've had these boots for about 4 months and I only wear them when it rains (and I'm not from a state that receives a whole lot of rain). Now, both boots have cracks on the sides, that let water in. They are very cute and I love the color, so I really wish they'd lasted longer.

I originally loved these boot when I first got them. It's hard to find rain boots that fit my calves so I was very excited to get these. Unfortunately, less than two months after wearing them (not even every day, approximately 3 times a week), the rubber split right where the boot bends over your toes. On both sides none the less. I don't think I walk in an overly aggressive or stressful way to cause so much wear and tear in such a short time but this was just a not cheap investment that went awry.

I was so excited to get this boot, but after the first time wearing them the little insole had some out. I didn't really worry and just went and bought insoles. But after just 2 months of wearing the boot the were random tears in the boot around the foot area that I have no idea how they got there because I didn't do anything strenuous in them. Also, the shoe started to come off the sole and water would leak in. I thought I had found a good rain boot finally but was very disappointed.

I'm an 8.5 but I went with the 9 because half sizes aren't available. Not only were these too big, but the sole was so heavy that it felt like I was trying to step out of mud with every step. I'm returning and unhappy.

The size is a little big, but it is okay with socks. One boot felt fine, while the other one is uncomfortable. There is decent arch support. The problem is that after one wearing, the left back strap to pull the boots on, tore off the rivet. Now the boot looks ridiculous because one of the brown tabs on the boot is gone, while it is still on the other boot.
