I bought these shoes for a trip that would require a lot of walking on uneven surfaces. They seemed perfect when I received them, very comfortable and adjustable in many directions. But after wearing them only a few days, the insoles (some man-made product) began to smell like dirty tennis shoes. I tried to clean them, but could not eliminate the smell. I have never had this problem with any other sandals. Also, after 2 weeks of daily wear some of the straps stretched to the point that the velcro would barely attach. For a shoe of this price, I am very dissatisfied.

I now have 3 pairs of these sandals. I bought my first pair last summer to take on a trip to Europe and found them so comfortable that I wore them every day. They offer decent support because the soles are firm and not too flexible. They also offer good coverage for the bunion I have on one foot. That is a big plus because straps on many other sandals are narrow and cut into my feet. FYI, I expected the pewter color to be silver-ish but it is really more gold/bronze.

I am a little in love with this sandal. I purchased them for a warm weather walking vacation. I have a wide toe box and a slimmer heel, and these fit perfectly. On a scale of 1 to 10, the cushioning is about a 5, and has seemed to hold up well so far. The leather is a bit stiff, but I think that may change with more wear.

I absolutely love these sandals! I need shoes with soft cushiony shoes and these totally are! The day after I received them, I took them on a vacation that I did a lot of walking and standing. These sandals were so comfortable even after hours of being on my feet. Only one thing I wish was different- because I have narrow heals, I wish the back strap was shorter.

I am ecstatic about these shoes! They truly are extra extra wide for my extremely wide forefoot, and at the same time the back straps keep my extremely narrow ankle in place. The sole is soft and cushiony. They look like real sandals that are not overly sporty or overly old womanish. I'm thrilled.

Not only are these shoes stylish, but they are extremely comfortable. I feel that they run true to size and width. So glad that I ordered them. You cannot beat Zappos' return policy and quick delivery!

These shoes are beautiful and so comfortable. I was not familiar with the brand, so I first ordered a "wide" shoe. Oops, too wide, so sent them back and exchanged for "medium." Perfect! I do think they're rather over-priced, but they look good and feel good, and I'm hoping they'll last a long time.

I am writing about Zappos great service... imagine my surprise when my shoes arrived in a few days. Really... it was so fast and I didn't pay for special shipping. Wonderful service Zappos! I will order from you again!

I've lost track of how many Aravon Candace sandals I have purchased over the past five years. I have very narrow feet, as well as planter fasciitis that has left me with flat feet. This sandal is the cure. With three adjustable straps I can snug the shoe as tight as I want it. The wedge heel and cork footbed give good support, and are considerably better than a flat shoe for a busy day on my feet. I have recently had both knees replaced, and was wondering if I would still enjoy wearing this style shoe. So, I ordered two new pairs- the pewter color and black. I am delighted to say that my knees are happy. Oh, I forgot to mention- the Aravon Candace is cute. I receive many complements when I wear them. I hope this style is available for a long time to come.

I love these sandals. This my first pair of Aravon sandals, but probably won’t be my last. I put them on, they fit, so I decide to keep them. No big deal. Then I wore them today (all day) for the first time, and it felt like I was wearing marshmallows with a bit of arch support. The footbed is extremely comfortable, and the straps as well. Both straps adjust, so I get a custom fit. I highly recommend these shoes.

Just had to write. Such a comfortable sandal. Can wear it anywhere and my feet don't hurt. Adjustable 3 ways so will fit any foot!

Perfect fit, I didn't find it too big like some of the reviewers mentioned. Very comfortable and I like the look. of the gold buttons. Ordinarily I don't like gold but this is a soft, matte gold.

These are not the 'prettiest' of shoes but they are SO comfortable! I ordered a 10 Wide because I have bunions and they fit perfectly. I wanted them for a trip to Europe this summer and I think they are just what I need. The ankle strap is velcro which is so much better than the kind with holes - it's easy on and easy off, which is also perfect for travel. I just know I'll wear these a LOT and not just for travel. In fact, I have them on right now!

I purchased two pair of Aravon sandals, both for my sister in Australia, but I have most of the sandals myself. My sister has horrible feet and can hardly walk at times, I sent the Aravon Candace last year in red and she loved them and said she kept them on all day, so I sent another pair of red as she could keep one for good. I know myself that I use Aravon sandals all summer and could not walk with out them, so I felt they would be great for my sister. I would recommend these sandals to anyone with painful feet.

One of the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned - foot bed is removable for custom orthotics, too.

Exactly what I was looking for! They are so comfortable and padded very well!! they feel so good on your feet! Not too old lady ish either which is a must! A bit pricey, but usually you get what you pay for. Great purchase. If you're on the fence about these, buy them! They are awesome!

Holy guacamole, I wore these 24/7 all over an active Italy vacation and could not believe the comfort!! I have wide, flat feet so the adjustable straps everywhere were perfect. It was flatter than I would have ideally preferred, but in truth, was more supportive than it originally felt or than I expected. I highly recommend these! PS to this: I wish Aravon would make their sandals just a little bit more stylish.

Love these. And I am buying a second pair right now. Comfortable, supportive, and they look nicer on than in the picture. Versatile style that I will be wearing a lot, and I will be revisiting this brand in the future. My feet have multiple issues, and I've finally decided that comfort is a non-negotiable for footwear that will go the distance. This sandal goes the distance in style too. Great find!

Super cute for casual dress or slacks! Very comfortable for short, extra wide feet! Love the Velcro straps especially for the toe box.

Most comfortable sandals ever! Before I was even sure how I liked the style, I fell in love with the comfort. The sole - from the heel to the toe and everything in between - is like a cloud. I like the style, too - not as much as the comfort - and will wear these every day on my walking vacation. In fact wore them tonight right out of the box without even a nanosecond of discomfort. The three velcro tabs make it a custom fit. Returning the other shoes I bought - nothing could beat these. And the red is very cute!

These were amazing right out of the box! I had reconstructive surgery on one foot eighteen months ago and still have swelling and some traumatic arthritis. I've been ordering and returning shoes ever since, trying to find something that fit now that my feet are two different widths. The adjustable straps are just the ticket and the footbed is fantastic. I have painful arthritis in one knee, and these immediately relieved the discomfort. Bonus!!

I found an Aravon shoe in a New Balance outlet upteen years ago and still love them. Fast forward to a few foot issues and my love affair with Zappos! This shoe can solve anything due to all the adjustments. Very comfortable. First day the insole felt as if it was making my feet very warm but now it's fine. Very comfortable. I feel it's worth the price tag. Foot comfort is key.

The jury is still out on this shoe. It looks cuter on than expected. It seems very well made; quality leather and foot bed. I have ordered about 10 different brands of sandals in the last month looking for that perfect combination of comfort, great fit and wearability, at least a little bit of style, and a price that's not astronomical. They have all been returned except this one. I will wear it around the house for a few days to see how it feels. I have wide feet, and I do really like the rounded toe on these. So many sandals that are supposed to be a wide or even extra wide are not. I wish these came in 4E as my feet seem to be getting even wider as I get older.It did cost a bit more than I would usually pay. Am I the only person out there that misses buckles on shoes? almost everthing is velcro now. Thanks Zappos, for your amazing customer service! You set the bar high for everyone else out there.

These are really great shoes and are plenty wide enough to accommodate my super wide (4E) feet, however I am returning them because of the location of a bone spur on my foot. Not the shoe's fault just my issues. The Aravon Collette is perfect for me so I'll probably order that in other colors.
