In a word "loose"! These slide right off the back of your ankles. Comfortable on the soles but if they don't stay on, no use for them.

I was looking for a comfort walking black shoe to wear for an upcoming NYC trip. This shoe fit the bill. It's comfortable, and I've been wearing it to "break it in" and have found it's perfect right out of the box, no break in time needed. I have horrible feet with many problems including fallen arches (flat feet, requiring a good arch support), and hammer toes (requiring a roomy toe box). These shoes will work great for me with a lot of walking.

I have these sneakers in the grey and turquoise and love them. These seem to be an older style and there are some differences. They are more narrow and the inner sole is not as soft.

For a sneaker, this shoe has almost no cushion or height in the sole. I was particularly surprised about this from a Dansko shoe. I inserted an extra insole and it is very comfortable, but I am short and do kind of miss the extra inch or two sneaker soles usually give me.

These shoes seem to run slightly larger than the Dansko professional clogs that I know and love. I ordered the 39, my usual size. They seem wider than a medium, and my heel slips out, but there is plenty of toe room. I like the sleeve; however, it does not make the fit more secure. I need to size down - like the cushioned sole very much!

I bought these to heal in before a trip that will include lots of walking. I wear the to walk the dogs everyday too. So far so good!

Not my favorite Dansko. I've been a fan of the clogs for years, so I was disappointed with the lack of support in this shoe. The foot bed feels very flat. I notice my back hurts after walking for any length of time in these shoes. There's just not enough cushion and support. Dansko does the clogs best!

These are very comfortable. I wear orthotics and have a lot of trouble with feet; plantar faciitis and falling arches. These worked for me. The toe box IS very large, so be prepared to wear bigger socks, but the shoe is quite comfortable and good for walking.

Wow, these shoes are comfortable! My feet are wide at the toes and narrow at the heel and this shoe fits wonderfully right out of the box. They are very lightweight and have little support but I've walked many miles in them with no problem. Despite being suede, they hold up to damp conditions, too, as they are scotch guarded. My only quibble with them is that they look a bit geriatric for my tastes. They also get little pebbles stuck in the tread a lot and it's tough to get them out. The sole is a bit sticky, which is awesome on slippery driveways and sidewalks, but does mean you squeak a bit across wood floors. Overall, the comfort wins me over. They are as comfy as sneakers but a step up in looks (so long as you don't mind looking a bit older!).

They came with brown shoe laces too. Feet don't slide in them as they do in the clog style Dansko. The arch support is softer and conforms to foot, however does not have a rear-foot post built in. So if you have ankles that roll in when standing, the support in these shoes do not prevent that from happening as they do in the clog style.

Just received two pairs of these and love them! At first I thought they were too big, but in the past if I've tried to go down a size with Danskos my toes are too near the tip of the shoe. Plus these will allow for thicker socks in the winter. They are very comfortable, although a little more cushion on the front half of the sole would be nice. I'm sure I will wear them a lot!

Disappointingly, for me there is a sizing issue. I am pretty much true 10.5. The 40 (9.5-10) is definitely too tight, but the 41 (10.5-11) is just a bit too big all around. They'd fit okay with thick socks, but if the shoes stretch at all with wear, they're going to be too loose. What a shame, as the style is exactly what I'm looking for (casual, but dressier than a sneaker) and the slate color is a great neutral that could go with all kinds of dark pants and jeans. The only other minor downsides for me were: they could use a bit more padding and arch support. I disliked the bright neoprene liner.

Excellent shoe to move away from the non-bendable sole of the clog. I had to go down one full size (40 to 39) and the toe box felt great. There seems to be slightly less arch support when I compare them to the clog version of Danskos.

Great comfortable shoe. I wear Dansko clogs for the arch support, but clogs are not great on uneven ground. I was happy to see Dansko had created a lace-up walking shoe.

They are very comfortable. I am on my feet about 12 hours a day 7 days a week and these have made my feet really happy.

Cute shoe, but no arch support.This shoe runs at least a full size larger than normal.I have always worn a 38 and this shoe was HUGE.

I needed to size down from my usual Dansko size. I ordered these because of heel pain with other athletic shoes such as Nike and Adidas. They were very comfortable when the right fit was achieved, but they do not look as nice on as they do in the picture. I am less concerned with looks as comfort when working out, so these are keepers.

Very comfortable but not as sturdy as anticipated, basically a sneaker. I thought it would be more like a shoe than a sneaker.

I do like these shoes. I was attracted to the colors at first. I was surprised that they are very light-weight. Definitely summer-like shoes. The weave-look across the shoe is actually small holes. I have a lot of foot problems and wear Dansko shoes most of the time. I did remove the shoe liner and put in arch supports and a different shoe liner. I did not try them on with the shoe liner that came with them, but Dansko usually provides pretty good arch supports. I like that they are wide width (I need that and they are truly wide width). The colored ring around the ankle is solid stretchy material. You have to put your foot through it when putting the shoe on. This put me off at first. Seemed pretty strange to me. Once you get them on, they are comfortable. I am considering buying another pair in a different color.

I love my Dansko Professionals and sandals so I thought I'd give these a try too. My Professionals are all size 40's, my sandals are 39's and I ended up needing 38's in these. Not sure why such a variance except maybe the heavier socks with the Professionals? I find I do have to wear very thin socks with these shoes, but the 39's were entirely too long for comfortable walking. I wanted these for a comfortable casual walking shoe and they have been comfortable for 10-12 hour work days. I've not tried walking a couple miles in them, though I suspect they will lack in support since the bottoms feel flatter and less shock absorbent than my Professionals and sandals. And I tend to walk hard so I need that. The color of the pink is fantastic, not like most pinks. And I have gotten numerous compliments on them, even though I was afraid of looking like my grandmothers who both had tan walking shoes when I was a kid! I guess the style has recycled into cool now.

I love Dansko as I am on my feet all day. They are the only shoes for plantar fasciitis. I have also been looking for a sneaker that offered Dansko support. This is not it. These are really cute and that is about it. I could put my inserts in them, but why? I don't have to use my inserts with my Dansko clogs. I need a great work out and walking shoe. This shoe does not even have the arch support that I love in a Dansko. I will stick with New Balance for now. Mine are going back too.

Good cushioning in sole, not quite deep enough for a massive orthotic. Soft-sided shoe that in the end didn't feel stable enough for me. I have fussy high arches and the arch support has to hit in just the right place for me to keep my feet stable. Someone else with a less fussy foot might find this quite comfy because of the cushioning. Although, I've got to say -- this is NOT a cute shoe.

Sorry to say, the shoes are going back. They seemed comfortable enough but were wide in the toe box, gaped out at the ankles on both shoes, had a weird strap inside, with no purpose that I could see and the shoes were not cute at all, in fact they looked kind of matronly... If you have a narrow foot do not buy. I have a wide, full foot and my feet moved around in the toe box.

This shoe is just okay. I work in a kitchen on my feet for 8-10 hours a day and there isn't much comfort, just moderate. My main complaints about this shoes is that it rubs the back of my ankles, the squeak very loudly when I'm walking,and they aren't a very good slip resistant shoe. I walked in some water and my foot actually slipped a little bit. I'm going to keep these shoes because I've worn them and I know that I can't return them. I will not be ordering them again.

I bought the black ones about two months ago and was initially really happy with them. They look cute and they feel comfortable through a long day day of standing in one place, since I work in retail. After about a month and a half, the top layer started to flake off, like peeling off a thin layer of paint. And it's white underneath, so it's definitely noticeable. I used to work in a shoe boutique and gathered through my experience that Dansko was a great name, so I'm just terribly bummed that such expensive shoes are made so cheaply.
