This dress is just as fabulous as everyone said! Yes, definitely order one size up from your usual size. I am normally a 6 or 8. I am 5'10" and 148 pounds and 34DD. The size 10 fit me great (and I probably could have squeezed into the size 8 as it has lots of stretch) but the size 10 looks fine! It is fine for whether or not you have big boobs. I have big boobs and it covered just fine everything. The material is not dressy but I suppose you could dress it up with your heels and jewelry. It is a thick unlined stretchy fabric and it is not see through. I love this dress!

I read the reviews and realized the sizing is UK sizing, I normally wear a size US 8, so I ordered a 12. The fabric is hideous, it looks so cheap; however, you tend to forget how terrible the fabric is once you have the dress on! The fit is snug, but flattering. I kept the dress, only because I love the fit!

Ordered this dress 2 days ago and came the next day. Awesome service! As for the dress, it isn't the best quality but the good thing is that you can't tell! Fits like a glove and shows off the curves! I didn't order a size up like others said to do because it's intended to fit to the body. It's a stretchy material so it's tight and sexy without being suffocating. This is my second dress that I have from Stop Staring! and I intend to be a returning customer in the future. Love their style of clothing! I didn't find a problem with the arm hole being too tight. It fit perfectly for me. I did find a problem with the material on the shoulder. It somewhat has a gathered creasing and for some reason it doesn't crease down correctly. Kind of sticks out but no biggie-it's not like anyone looked at my shoulder in this dress!

Always on the prowl for a good pencil dress. This is fabulous. Its stretchy and it fits great! I did take everyone's advice and go 1 size bigger, not 2 because of my bust issue or lack there of :) My gut was right. Fit is fantastic and I'm so happy with the color (eggplant).

This is a nice dress that is unlike anything else I own. The material was a little bit of a surprise, the picture does not portray it well - it is actually fairly thick but has some stretch to it. I got the red version and the red is a good darker red that is pretty classy. After reading reviews and not wanting to get the wrong size, I also went to the brand's website and looked up my size using measurements I took with a measuring tape. My default is usually size 8 in brands like WHBM and Ralph Lauren (I find applying my true measurements to their structure nets me a 10 and sometimes a 12, which is too large). However, this one was right on the money. I got a 10 and it fits perfectly. I am about 5'10", 150 pounds. My only complaint is the price. While well made, this did not to me feel like a dress that would cost so much, it has no lining whatsoever.

This style of this dress is very cute, but the quality of the material was lacking and I was very disappointed. Also, as everyone has been stating, the dress runs very small. I usually wear between a 4 and 6; I ordered an 8, and it was tight. If the material were of a higher quality, I might have kept it, but am going to be returning it. I wanted to love it, but it just fell short.

This dress was perfect for a cocktail event I attended. It is tight, but did not look tacky. I wear a size 12 (am 5'11'' 170 lbs) and the size 12 worked for me. Size 14 was too large and baggy in places. I paired it with a cool cuff and some simple glittery earrings. Wore black/silvery nine west pointy low heeled shoes. Also, the length was perfect for me. Just below knees, though it does creep up when you walk.

Really like this dress. I'm 5'10, 155 lbs and the 8 fits perfect. Hugs my curves and is very flattering. I would recommend this dress for sure.

The sizing stinks on this dress I am a ZERO and I fit into a 10 in this dress. It is beautiful on, though. Who in the world wears a 0 in this dress? My 6-year-old? ha.

All the other reviews of this dress are dead on - yes, the fabric is not what you would expect for a cocktail style dress: it is not shiny, satiny, sleek silk or even stretchy jersey - it is a stretchy, sturdy, structured blend of synthetics; yes, this dress will flatter every curve on your body like no other dress ever has: the rouching on the sides will conceal any little problem areas around your middle while simultaneously making your bust look awesome! I truly feel like Jessica Rabbit when I put this dress on, and my husband's eyes bugged out in delight like Jim Carey in the Mask when he saw me in it! I am 5'9", 138 pounds and looked like a knockout in it. I also took the other reviewer's advice to buy one size up than I normally wear (6-8) - I got the 10 and it fits like a glove! I received lots of compliments when I wore this out to dinner on Christmas Eve, and I think that I will get lots more wear out of it - the understated fabric makes it very versatile, sexy while not being too flashy/shiny. The off the shoulder style is very cool and does not dip too low in front across the neckline, it is high across your collarbone area. If anything, that is my only spot where it felt a little snug - under my armpits, but not too uncomfortable, just snug. Try this dress, you will not send it back!

This dress is very comfortable and extremely attractive on. I wore it for a Christmas party and got many compliments. I am 6' tall and it fell just below my knees which was nice! The stretchy material and ruching is very flattering on curvy women. I found lipstick that matched and felt very sassy.

This is an absolutely stunning dress. I ordered one size up in this dress and it fit perfectly. It is an extremely classy dress with a very flattering fit. The gathered fabric on the waist adds lovely detail. The dress is a great length and has an easy to zip back. The red color is perfect. I have only praise to say of the Gathered Ava! Gorgeous, flattering dress in black. The fabric is thick enough. Ideal for body types like mine (small waist, curvy hips, decent size chest). As other said, runs small, so swallow your pride and order one size larger than usual. I did, and I'm glad! Can't wait to wear it out!!

Had to go up three sizes, but it's worth it! I'm normally a size 2 (115 lbs, 34C) but I needed a size 8 in this (I take a size 6 in European sizing). As far as the fabric goes a few of the other reviews had scared me about it, but it's not bad.

I read all the reviews for this dress prior to purchasing and agree with them all about the sizing! I'm usually a size 4 (5'6", 135 lbs) but ordered 2 sizes up and got the 8. It fit perfect. the armhole was a little snug but once I had the dress on I got used to it. I wore this to a wedding and got lots of compliments! I ordered the blue. The material does seem a little cheap once you open the box but on, you can't even tell and it looks great. Very flattering! I love Zappos and order from here constantly! They always ship so promptly and love the free returns when needed!

LOVE this dress! Normally wear a size 6-7. Bought a 10 after reading other reviews. Size is a little loose but comfortable and still fits well.

Definitely believe us when we say order it two sizes bigger than your normal size. I typically will never allow myself to do that but this dress is worth it. Fits like a glove not like you went up two sizes. Material is not what I expected but it was comfortable.

This is an amazing dress for the money as other reviews suggest order at least one size up it is like a dress made of Spanx. I am 5'7 145 36DD. I usually wear dress size 4 on a good day 6 on a reg day got an 8 squeezed into it makes you look better then you are shows the curves but covers knees and cleavage sexy and classy at once but it is very form fitting flat stomach a must I would order at least one size up 2 sizes if you don't want to suck it in all night.

Wanted to review this so people know that these dresses run small. I ordered a lot of dresses through Zappos, size 6 and or Medium, and almost all fit or even ran big. The two Stop Staring dresses I got were more than a little tight...I haven't gotten the next size up to check, but order at least one size up. The dress itself is a slightly stiffer, matted fabric than I expected, but this dress in the right size...stunning. I don't usually go for red, but this will look good on a variety of skin tones. Great length, cut, rouching...go for it!
