I read the reviews on the Clarks Poem Journal shoes before ordering them. The reviews made me nervous, but with Zappos' easy return policy, I went ahead and ordered them anyway. I'm so glad I did. I absolutely love them and they are a great pop of color (I bought the Coral ones). The stitching in the heel bothered me a little bit on the first day, but I haven't felt it since. They were a little snug when I first got them and I thought they might be a half size too small, but the leather stretched a little and now they fit perfectly. I am 23 years old, with a size 9 narrow foot.

So cute. So comfy. So big! So bummed. I ALWAYS wear a 10N and this 10N was too long and too wide. Sadly the style is unavailable in a 9.5N. My search continues. Thank goodness for Zappos. How many shoes can a gal buy and return before she gets banned?

Very cute shoe. I got the wide and they are true to width. I only wish I had sized down about 1/2 a size then they would be perfect. Not enough of an issue to exchange. I would definitely recommend.

I've been looking for the perfect everyday summer flat that would go with anything. These fit perfectly, 9.5, right out of the box. I changed into them immediately and wore them all day with no pain, blisters or discomfort. Great option for casual or work! The bronzey metalic color will go with any color except maybe black. Great Clarks!

I bought an 11 narrow. They are too long for my 10.5 feet, but still wearable if I stuff the toe... However, they were not that narrow and I think with time would stretch out and be too wide. Also, there is a heel pad at the rear, and where it attaches to the rim of the shoe is scratchy on both sides. They should have used a much softer thread there. The rim of the shoe, which is the same material in the bow, seems to be made of vinyl, not leather, which contributes to the not being very soft where they sewed the heel pad in. Otherwise, very cute design of the shoe.

I purchased these shoes in Red, Tan and the Nude. Love them! So cute and very comfortable for Spring and Summer!My feet are happy!

I received my shoes today and I am very pleased with them. I had been looking for a pair of red flats for spring and summer and these will be perfect. I had hesitated to order them based on the reviews mentioning the problem with the thread on heel. I have purchased many shoes and sandals over the years and have never been disappointed, so I went ahead and ordered them. I wear a 7.5 but from past experience I ordered an 8 - perfect fit. I checked the shoes out looking for the"thread on the heel" and after a while I did feel some clear nylon thread on the BACK sides of the heel but like all other Clarks products, these are not cheaply made and are well constructed. I did not feel the thread when I tried on the shoes -- but like I mentioned if you touch that area of the shoe you will feel that nylon thread. The shoes are cute, very comfortable and I am keeping them. :)

This is a very cute shoe, great color - I got the pewter - But I did have a little trouble with the sizing. Normally a 7W, the first pair was a bit tight. Returned them for a 7 1/2 wide which were huge. Returned those, got another 7W which is a pretty good fit, hoping for a bit of stretch.

Cute shoe with a skirt, capris or straight leg jeans. Light and airy. The pewter color is very versatile. True to size. Only complaint is where the seam ends on the heel side of the shoe - it's not finished evenly so rubs on the skin a bit. Otherwise a fun spring/summer shoe!

My favorite shoes all summer long. Great for every day they go well with pants and skirts for the office as well as jeans.

These are perfect shoes for me. I was looking for a ballet flat to wear instead of wearing sandals for the summer. I normally wear an 8 M but in these ballet flats an 8 N fit perfectly. I am so pleased with them, can wear them all day no problems.

These shoes are beautiful and comfortable. They run small and I am frustrated with Clarks shoes in general as they are never the size they claim to be. It is difficult to guess if each style will run bigger or smaller. Thank you Zappos for free/simple returns!

I had two problems when I first got this shoe. They squeaked and they were a little tight across the top of my foot. But after about two wears they are perfect. I ordered my usual size and I am happy with my choice. I didn't have the problem that others had with the stitching in the heel. I walk a lot at my job and these are very comfortable. I also love the style of these shoes. It is quite challenging to find a cute shoe that is comfortable. I have finally found the perfect work shoe.

After reading previous reviews, I ordered a 1/2 size smaller (I am usually a 7 1/2W, so I ordered a 7W). Apparently this shoe is made a bit large. I need a wide width due to bunion. These fit perfectly and comfortably. Clarks makes a very good product which lasts for years. The red is more a deep red than a true, bright red, but very pretty and will go with lots of things I own. Would recommend this shoe.

These shoes are great! Fit perfectly right out of the box. The color is just right for summer.

Very nice, neat shoes for wearing to work and they make my wide feet look a little narrower. The perforations make them cool for summer, too. As others have mentioned, the attachments on both sides of the heel cup were scratchy when I first put on the shoes. On closer examination there were stiff little stubs of thread sticking out as well as sharp corners of folded leather or plastic. I got out my nail scissors and trimmed these bits away. This is a detail that Clark should have taken care of -- I do not expect to have to do the finishing work on a pair of shoes at this price and with this brand name. However, it only took a couple of minutes, it solved the problem, and the shoes are otherwise comfortable and pretty. I don't love the bow (that's why I gave them only 4 stars for style) which is a little bit too prim and prissy looking for my style. However, it's not terrible, just not my favorite. I might get another pair in a different color if these hold up well.

I had to return and order a half size down. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable and stylish pair of flats.

Ordered bone colored, came in more beige. Shoe larger then expected.

I love these shoes for summer. They are surprisingly breathable, and the solid toe makes them look a bit smarter. I walk to work and it gets hot in Virginia, so professional-looking shoes that keep my feet from sweating in the summer are a great find. The Bone is a very versatile color. I've had great success with Clarks for nice looking, walkable shoes.

I've tried so many flats and this one is perfect. The toes don't curl up and I'm not walking out of the back. Think I'll get them in another color too! Comfy!

Very nice, true red color. Looks good with skinny jeans and spring skirts. Have had trouble finding a nice not too fancy red flat. This shoe fits that description perfectly. Very comfortable, I've already worn them enough to have my money's worth.

My feet pronate (ankles turn). I also have flat feet and a pinched nerve. This makes finding cute shoes very difficult. I bought this shoe and immediately knew that I hit the jack-pot! I wore the first pair (in tan) all day at work. They are cute with a skirt, dress, pants or jeans. I came home from work and immediately bought the same shoe in dark brown and black. I consider myself in a restraining mood because I didn't buy the shoe in coral...I will probably buy it tomorrow -- the shoe is so comfortable! This is from someone who usually is in pain all day unless I am in ugly shoes. How fun to have a cute shoe and be pain free.
