I've had Clarks for years. I ordered these in 7.5, but it felt like a half size smaller and the ankle straps were way too short. I don't have fat ankles, either. I sent them back.

I read other reviews and ordered a 1/2 size larger. With my narrow feet and slender ankles, I thought the strap would be fine. It is too short. The strap needs another 1/2 to 3/4 inches to buckle properly. The shoe is nice looking and a comfortable height, but since I can't buckle it, both pairs are being returned.

Loved the red color. Loved the feel of the shoe and it's great fit - UNTIL I buckled the strap. It is WAY too short and I have a slim foot! I read the other reviews that warned about the short strap, but decided to try the shoe anyway. Alas, those reviews were correct. Reluctantly, the shoes must go back. Thanks Zappos for the great service, as always. Love you guys. Best customer service anywhere!

I bought these thinking they would be a better made alternative to Tatianna by Softspots, which I really like but which seem a little unfinished. I found that these were better made (the stitching and edges of the straps look neater, for example). But the cons outweigh the pros for me: the strap is too short so difficult for me to buckle, they are more expensive than Softspots version, they made an odd little squishy sound when I walked, and they feel slightly too narrow as though my foot might slip off.

Should have listened to other reviewers -- ankle strap too stingy, heel leather cuts into side of foot under ankle bone. The red was disappointing -- not even the earthier tone expected. Simply faded red. Disappointing on so many counts. Love Clarks and their Bendables line, but they missed the mark on this one completely. A no go.

I have been sold on the Clark's brand for years, and have several pair. I think these are so cute, and they seemed to fit like a dream, but when I really walked in them, they gave me a bleeding blister on my left heel. Go figure. I am returning them. I am now leery of sandals with a closed back!

The left shoe strap, however, would not fasten at all! It was 3/4 inch shorter than the right strap. As most other reviewers have stated, the straps on the shoes are too short, ruining what would otherwise be a great shoe. I wear a 9.5 narrow and I do not have large ankles.

I really liked the style of this shoe. The other reviews about the strap I found to be true, they are not long enough. I thought they would be because I have a narrow foot.

I previously reviewed these and agreed with others that the strap is too short. I said it shouldn't be a problem because the buckle had elastic. Guess what? Had to have that elastic piece replaced with a longer piece to buckle them comfortably. Now they are wonderful, but I added $12 to the price for the "repair."

Such a cute shoe! Unfortunately the ankle strap is very short, and although my ankle is not particularly thick, the strap digs into my foot on the loosest adjustment. Sad. They have to go back. I think they would have been very comfortable otherwise.
