I am on my fourth pair of these hikers, so it is safe to say that I love them. I wear them walking to work and on long hikes and everything in between. I remove one star because after my first pair wore out (after eight years!) I bought a second pair that ripped after four months. The third pair did the same after six months. Like a lot of things, these are not made with the quality materials that my first pair was. I have tried other hikers, and they just do not compare. So, fingers crossed, I have gone back.

Love my new Merrell's. They run true to size; however, the heel is a little wide causing my heel to slip a little. I'll need to wear thicker socks when hiking. Very comfortable overall.

Too narrow even in the wide width and my foot is only slightly wider than average. Just wide in ball of foot not overall. Too bad because they are cute for a hiking shoe.

Loved these shoes but they were a little narrow even in a wide width...the tongue doesn't lay flat and rubbed the top of my foot. The funny thing is that it felt great on the foot that has had surgery, but on the "good" foot it was uncomfortable. So back they go.

The shoe is light and comfortable. It looks nice. In fact, I have larger foot and needed a 10.5 Wide. The only reason I'm returning it is that I could feel my left pinky toe rubbing on the side. Wearing these for any extended period of time would probably hurt my toe. Merrells just run too narrow for my feet. Sadly, I have to return them.

This my second pair of Sirens. The new "olive" color really is a more purple-gray color, but it's still "dirt" colored which is pretty much all I care about. It'll stay handsome despite hiking in the dirt and mud. I will say the insoles aren't as good as my original pair of Sirens but I could just get some insoles. I have narrow feet. 10 narrow and these fit like a dream. The Moab ventilators (I ordered those also so I could choose) have a bulky tongue that poked into my instep. Hiking would just exacerbate it. Overall, these new sirens feel the same as my old reliables.

I like these hiking shoes, but for the intense craggy hiking I do in NH, they weren't great for ankle support. Instead of hiking in them now, I use them as house renovation shoes.

I loved my previous pair of Merrell Siren Sports so much they wore out and I had to throw them away. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new pair of the Siren Sport 2's and there are two things that really stand out to me. One, the heel fits just slightly too big as others have mentioned. I by no means have a narrow heel, and have a rather full foot, but I do wish the heel was just a touch snugger. Second, there is a seam by my left pinkie toe that rubs after wearing these shoes for awhile. Granted, I have only worn them a couple times so I'm hoping maybe they will break in a bit more and the seam will become less noticeable. Regardless of these two things, I still love the overall comfort and looks of these shoes. I hope Merrell never stops making them because I think they really stand out from the crowd. I have the black/pink combo and it's very cute! Also, I don't think they are too narrow through the toe box and provide a secure fit (other than the heel). I'm looking forward to nicer weather and walking some trails in these shoes. So, despite the couple of issues I mentioned, I'm definitely keeping them and will buy a new pair when I need them!

I love this shoe but it did not hold up well. I purchased it 10 months ago and a hole has formed by the pinky toe and there are multiple cracks in the fabric. All of the areas that are falling apart are where the mesh and strapping on the sides meet the sole. They are comfortable, great support, a little snug on a bunion but they loosen up after you wear them. They dry fast too. I love Merrell's for comfort but I'm not impressed with how they age. I contacted the company directly and they're replacing the shoe, which will keep me as a return customer, I was ready to sign off on them!

I love the look of these shoes. I stand all day and they are great on my back. They do run small. I wish I had ordered a 1/2 size larger.

I want to love this shoe, but because of my bunion on my left foot, I couldn't. I still wear these shoes when I'm going on very short walks, but for hikes, eh, not so much. I love the arch though. Everything else felt pretty sturdy and was great walking in mud or rain. Structurally it's a great shoe, but if you have slightly wide feet or even a small bunion I would say pass. Also, I'm too lazy to return them so I just kept them. They still get used, but just not very often.

Pros: I ordered a wide and it was very comfortable. Nice looking shoe. Cons: insole was super thin, had to go and buy a better orthotic support.

I took this to Africa for safari. They are very comfortable but required a little breaking in. I like a wide toe box and this shoe was great, maybe a little tight in the beginning on the inner foot but fine after a few wears.

A good walking shoe, true to size but not very cushy. I needed some break in time as they rub at bit on the large joint at toe box. They do look good though and give good support for walking.

I absolutely love these shoes, but my slightly wider right foot doesn't work in the toe box. I am so disappointed.

I was in search of a lightweight (and cute) hiking shoe for an upcoming trip. I tried the Merrell Moab, Merrell Moab Waterproof, Merrell Siren Sport 2, Teva Sky Lake, and Patagonia Drifter -- and ultimately selected the Moab Waterproof. For reference, the sizing that fit me in each were my true size of 6.5 in the Teva, 7 in all of the Merrells and 7.5 in the Patagonia. Both Moabs were the most comfortable right out of the box. They were cushioning and not stiff, not heavy feeling, despite weighing more than some of the others I tried. The Teva Sky Lake had the slimmest profile, followed by the Merrell Siren Sport. So if not being 'boxy and big' matter a lot, go for these. Both were stiff, though, and I couldn't imagine being in them all day. The Patagonia Drifter was almost as comfy and cushiony as the Moabs, but was slightly more bulky (ie, rugged). There was virtually no different between the Moab Ventilator and Moab Waterproof, even though one is 1 oz heavier. I did not have a chance to test the waterproof-ness since I needed to keep them in returnable condition. I selected the Moab Ventilator simply for aesthetics. This review won't help you with their utility since I haven't worn them outside the house, but it'll give you a comparison on fit, comfort and profile.

I've always been a fan of Merrell shoes and despite having a wide foot, I've still had luck with Merrell shoes in the normal width sizes. This shoe is my exception. I ordered the wide width version and I could tell immediately that it was rubbing my pinky toes. If they had been a bit wider, they would've worked for me.

These are sturdy and comfortable shoe. They are great hiking shoes for light to moderate hikes over dirt trails and rocky paths. The older version of the Merrell Siren Sports from five years ago went with me on a safari to Tanzania and I have been wearing them ever since to walk my dog through our forest trails. They finally needed to be replaced with the newer version which is just as comfortable. I did need to go up half a size in these shoes but I am not sure if it is the shoes or my feet that changed. I got the black/pink and they are eye-pleasing and just feminine enough with the pink contrast. Happy trails!

Received the Merrell Sport 2. I can only say they fit and feel fine while sitting in my chair watching Netflix. I haven't actually walked around in them. Aside from the occasional walk to the bathroom. And they did corner very well. Can't report yet if they are 'keepers'.

As an avid Merrell wearer I was excited to buy my next pair. I have to say this pair is stiffer and needs to be broken in. I've never had that before with my Merrells. I am also sad to lose the toggle laces! Those were my favorite! As a mom of three young children with hands always full, it was nice to be able to slip my shoes on and off. I kept with shoes with the hope of an easy and quick break in period.

I usually wear a size 8 in athletic shoes and a 7.5 in other shoes. The 7.5 was the best fit for me. They aren't as clunky as some of the other hiking shoes I've tried, but they do slip in the heel a tiny bit as others mentioned. I plan on using these for short 3-5 mile hikes.

I specifically ordered these hiking shoes because I have the same pair (or so I thought) that I wanted to replace. While I took the information from the tongue of the shoe, the shoe I received was different in color and was made with Gore-Tex. I didn't need Gore-Tex as I hike in the desert, but that was all that was available. The shoe is fine and gives me good support. It has very good traction on rocks but the soles do collect a lot of little pebbles and sometimes this is noticeable. Also, the soles tend to wear down quickly as the pair I was replacing, were bought 5 months earlier.

It's going back unfortunately. I love the look of this shoe, but something is funky in the way it fit my foot. It is a very stiff shoe as well. The arch support is just totally wrong for me, it felt lumpy throughout.

Not the softest Merrell sport shoes I've had, and on the stiff side. I'm hoping they will break in more but they look good with my casual attire as the neutral color scheme goes well with most my outfits. The touch of orange is fun and grabbed my attention and the sale price. Would not pay more for them if I had to buy them again.

These were a gift for my sister and she says they are comfortable and have been helpful with relieving the plantar fasciitis a little bit. But other than that they're not necessarily noteworthy.
