Wonderful barefoot shoe and a great alternative to Vibram FiveFingers. The shoes are very comfortable, but a bit slim on first wear. After a few gym visits they've stretched just a tad, to a comfortable width. These shoes run VERY big, I'm normally a 12, and had to size down to an 11. There's actually still a bit of room left, but I don't like super tight shoes.

I purchased a second pair of this shoe in case they were discontinued...that was before I spent a weekend walking around New York City. Although they look great with jeans and are okay for "hanging out"...they are not for prolonged walking on concrete. Need to find another Merrell shoe (I like the big toe box) with more cushioning.

The Merrell vapor gloves are amazing. If you are a fan of minimal shoes that will work well for plyometrics (Insanity), running, or just kicking around the house, then you need to look no further. These shoes are extremely comfortable from the first time you put them on and their flexibility allows them to move with and mold to your feet. My only complaint is that they seem to run pretty big. I had to drop a full size and possibly could have dropped 1.5 sizes to get a shoe that fits correctly. The toe box has plenty of room and the fabric upper is very breathable and durable. The part of the sole that wraps around the toe is a little odd, but not a deal breaker. Overall, these shoes fit and feel like a sock, but with just enough protection and traction from the sole. I would definitely recommend and buy again.

This runs larger than normal size. I am returning it to get it a 1/2 size smaller. Other than that it's an awesome shoe!

Almost the most comfortable shoe I own to run in, behind my pair of Merrell Pace Glove. Fit is different than my other Merrels, being 1.5" too big, would order a size, maybe half, smaller next time.

So far I like the shoe, but the sizing is very different from the road glove. I'm on my second return of the shoe because there is at least a whole size difference.

Incredible they can make a shoe this light! Took a while to adjust to the feel compared to the snug, sock-like fit of Vibram FiveFingers - you can feel your foot move around the inside of the Vapor Glove. But once you get used to that, they are great.

I was looking for a last with a narrow heel and wide forefoot, with minimal support for my rowing ergometer workouts, and these are great, although they have even less cushioning than I realized. These are not shoes for taking longs walks on cement, but they are great gym shoes; I also spin (cycle), so for shoes that are lightweight, easy on, easy one, these are great. By the way, my wife liked them so much she bought a pair, and her first impression was that very comfortable, but she does not take long walks in them and is by no means a runner.

Great lightweight barefoot shoes! My new favorite since retiring my New Balance MT00. One Piece sole with wrap around toe keeps everything protected while still allowing for a good barefoot experience. Shoe is sized big...seems Merrell already sized big, but this one is even bigger than the others I've tried. I ended up with a full size smaller than what I'd normally wear, and could probably use another half size down to be honest.

I love running in these. They're well-ventilated and extremely light-weight. I happen to think they look pretty sharp too - and use them everywhere!

These shoe fit my feet perfectly. I use these and Merrell Bare Access2 for running. The fit is the same. I wear a 12 in these and 13 in other running shoes so they run big.

I have been wearing barefoot shoes exclusively for the last 7 years, vibram fivefingers, vivobarefoot being my only two options for so long. I am happy to say the vapor gloves fit the bill. The feel great and are flat enough to be called truly barefoot. I have only had them for three months now and have not put the through the paces yet, but so far the seem durable and are wide enough in the toe box to be comfortable. We will see how they hold up to the mud and grime soon. So far so good.

This shoe has helped me change my view on running as an exercise. In the past I used to get my aerobic workouts through hand/eye coordination sports where the focus is on the competition rather than the physical output. With these barefoot shoes, running is no longer boring and requires my full attention due to the nature of barefoot running. This particular pair is almost completely weightless yet protect from gravel and other sharp objects. I'm amazed that they don't disintegrate while running but so far so good.

After finally finding a barefoot shoe which was long enough, and the toe box wide enough for the whole foot, I realized that I want and need more support. These certainly give a "barefoot" feel-that's great-just no "spring" to a step. The size 9.5 in men's fits a size 11 women's foot well.

I bought these shoes prior to going on a cruise. They worked tremendously well for an every day shoe. The toe fabric did become detached from the sole. Zappos was amazing and sent me a replacement pair the next day. Since receiving my new pair, they have been great. I wear them daily for all types of chores. If you require arch support, you may want to look at a different style of show. The comfort level is very high! I highly recommend.

This is my favorite barefoot shoe. I have a pair for running, but recently bought a pair as an indoor shoe when a bit more traction is needed on my hardwood floors. Tight fitting, roomy toe box, no cushion and just enough traction in the sole. Great color options too.

I've worn these around the house a bit and for one big day of walking around town with the kids and so far, they feel great! I already have the Merrell Barefoot Orbit Glove -- the Barefoot Vapor Glove is lighter and seems to run a bit larger. They did feel a little stiff at first, but after walking around for a day, either they broke in a bit or I got used to whatever was different. It's so light, it feels almost like gluing a Vibram sole to your foot.

It's good for city walking, takes up much less room than a conventional runner in the luggage.Great for Hawaii where I would do a lot of 'walking'.Ordered 1/2 size smaller since I won't be wearing socks with them.

I bought these shoes for my husband for his birthday. He absolutely loves them. He said if he could he would wear them everywhere. Since then, he has shopped Zappos for other things. I would highly recommend these shoes for someone that wants the barefoot "feel" but that wants some protection. Also, I ordered one size smaller for him, because we heard these shoes tend to run a size larger. The smaller size fit perfectly!

Just what I wanted in a running shoe, which is almost nothing there but still some protection for the soles. I took the advice of other reviews here and ordered a half size smaller than I wear, and it was a good fit. I really like these a lot and would recommend them to anyone who wants something very close to barefoot. I am thinking about getting another pair for just casual walking around "sneaker" type shoes. They feel good on and off the running trail.

Love this shoe. You can get closer to barefoot by sheathing yourself in Tyvek, but why would you want to. This shoe is the best of both worlds. It loses all excess material to keep you close to barefoot, while still protecting your feet from the terrain.

The best "true minimalist" shoe on the market. A very versatile shoe that works well on road, track, grass, and light trail.

Admittedly, I was a bit cautious about ordering this type of shoe. I use prescription arch supports and had no idea how they would fit in this type of shoe. As it turned out, I removed the furnished arch supports, inserted mine and everything went well. These shoes are not for walking on rocky or uneven grounds such as on mountain trails, but are very comfortable in normal situations such as shopping, errands, etc. My only complaint: the three color choices bright green, bright red and boring black, nothing in between. I chose the red pepper and have no regrets, but would have preferred to be able to choose from more colors such as white, tan or brown in addition to these three.

Super light, sensitive ground feel, flexible sole, surprisingly protective toe box, and a very breathable upper make these feel more like a protective sock than a shoe. If you run on a lot of sharp gravel or have sensitive feet these will probably take some getting used to and I don't think I'd like them for really long runs, but if you like the minimalist shoe feel these are about the closest thing to no shoes at all that I've experienced. For some reason these shoes are huge compared to the rest of the current Merrell M-connect line. I bought them in the same size as my old sonic gloves and they were at least a full size too long if not more. The construction of the pair I received seemed a little sloppy. There were several places were stray glue found its way onto the visible parts of the shoe.

I've used other barefoot and minimalist shoes before, such as toe shoes and huaraches, but these are among the best I've found so far. They are simpler than toe shoes and have a little more structure than running sandals, providing a great balance of attributes among the minimalist running shoes. They are much bigger than most shoes. I had to order a half size smaller and there is still plenty of toe room. Width is good and very flexible. Decent style, as seen above. I have tried running in these with out socks and ended up getting an abrasion behind my large toe, so I would not recommend running in these with out socks, because the lacing stitches and structure can rub against the skin. Overall, amazing shoes.
