I have difficulty finding shoes that fit me well. I have a wider forefoot, and a narrow heel, which makes hiking, running shoes very tricky to fit well. These were perfect out of the box. They are very adjustable in the forefoot/instep and the hell was nice and snug. After wearing them in the house for an hour or so to test- I went for a quick 3 mile hike. They were amazingly comfortable, supportive and provided great stability.

My usual shoe size is a medium with a narrow heel and length 7.5 US. I ordered one pair of my usual shoe size and one pair of a size 8. The size 8 was a little too big. The 7.5 was perfect, comfortable right out of the box, and has performed perfectly with daily use. I had another pair of the same shoe for years and am so glad they have kept the size and quality the same.

I have been looking for lightweight hiking shoes for a while. I was worried that la Sportiva shoes would be made too narrow for my foot but these are perfect!!! I wear a 9-91/2 so I ordered the 41+ and they fit like they were made for my feet. They have a good amount of cushion and the arch isn’t too high which was a problem with other shoes. These shoes seem supportive and sturdy. I like the toe being covered and the traction on the bottom. Plus these are really cute too! I’m thrilled that the hunt for hiking shoes is over!!!

These were too stiff for me on the short walk I took. I normally wear a size 8 but go up a full size in running shoes so did the same with these. Even so, my outer toes were sore! Have to return them.

After wearing Keen Utility shoes to work for many years, I’ve started to need a little more cushioning in my older age. These are so comfortable! My knees appreciate extra bounce and the feeling of walking on air. The only downside is that they’re not as slip resistant as I hoped. On our wet tile floor, I’m ice skating!

Truly wonderful shoe. I am hard to fit and tried other brands, Saucony, Salomon, Keen, and none compare to La Sportiva for comfort and support. The Keens are very nice but were much too loose around my heel. La Sportiva have great support, although I switched out the insoles for my Spenco arch supports. I use these for hiking, not running, and appreciate the good tread and adequate cushioning. The laces are long enough and stay tied, however, one of them developed a small fray that I intend to sew. My only disappointment is that they are not waterproof which I discovered when I walked through a marshy area. My regular size, 9, felt a little tight in the toe, so I went up to 9.5. I like the extra room for going up and down hills, so my foot doesn't hit the front of the shoe. The 10's were too big. I highly recommend La Sportivas and intend to stick with this brand.

Great hiking shoe! I live in Utah and frequently go hiking on a large variety of terrain. These have been awesome from slickrock and sand in Moab to rocky mountain trails. They’re also comfortable enough to walk on pavement.
My feet and legs are much less fatigued at the end of the hike.
I have widish foot and like a wider toe box, these fit really well. No breaking in needed, hiked over 15 miles first time wearing them and they were comfortable.
My only complaint is that they aren’t waterproof, a little water goes right to your sock.

I really wanted these shoes to work for me because they look great and likely would be comfortable hikers. But I have a really wide forefoot due to a bunion and the material on that area of my foot was rubbing. I normally wear an 8.5 but the 9 was the best length. I had to return these.

I had walked part of the French Camino in 2019 with my favorite hiking boots and got blisters. I wore the La Sportiva's this time for 32 days and never got one blister. I loved the grip and tread because it was able to handle everything from rough terrain to wet roads. Light enough for very long days of walking between 14-20 miles a day.

I have a very small foot and a narrow heel so it is hard to find shoes that fit. The fact that these La Sportiva's run small was a selling point for me! I usually wear a 4.5-5 (or an EU 35) and these in a 5.5 fit perfectly. They are comfortable and have a very grippy sole for walking on scree or pebbles without slipping.

I notice this is out of stock a d I panic purchased another pair on some obscure website because these are the best shoes I've ever run in. Sturdy underfoot and they can take a beating. Comfortable on long runs.

I bought these after years of trying various trail running shoes for hiking, and they are my absolute favorite. They're stiff and grippy enough for rocky and technical trails, and have been great for various class 3 and 4 scrambles. They're also comfortable enough for 20+ mile day hikes. I've had two pairs that I've put hundreds of miles on, and they've been super durable.

I wear a standard women's size 5 1/2. I ordered these in a 6 1/2 and they fit perfectly. Size up. Nice fit, super cute.

I've been wearing the Ultra Raptor for three years now. It is my go to trail shoe for rocky, technical terrain. I love the stability of the shoe, sticky traction of the sole, and toe guard that protects the foot from rocks. I've had them in both colors and enjoy each one. This shoe is durable and comfortable. If you have rocky trails in your area, I definitely recommend this shoe!

I have this same shoe in GTX. Absolutely love them. Wanted a lighter pair for everyday wearing. Super comfortable and love the grip. Great for just in town walking and light hiking. The grey and berry color is the perfect combination.

I've always loved the Ultra Raptors for the arch support they provide. In a world where minimal/ultra light shoes dominate the market, it's so nice to still find that support, while not feeling encumbered by a stiff and heavy shoe. I use the Ultra Raptor as an approach shoe to climbs with longer, for rugged approaches, because I know my feet will be happy when I arrive.

Loved this shoe, but my bunion didn't. Other than that, the shoe was true to size, felt very supportive, and looked great. only real criticism I had was it didn't have a loop to help pull it on.

These shoes felt great right out of the box. A little stiff but I like the support. I hope they do well on a hike in the Grand Canyon this weekend!

I have a pair of:
Akasha in size 41/8.5 - fit great and love this shoe!!
Akyra in size 41/8.5 - fit is too big. love the look, but was very disappointed.
Not sure what size to order in the Akyra. Would love any feedback.

I will be ordering this specific shoe until they stop making them! I have a very difficult time finding comfortable running shoes due to large feet(size 11), wide feet at the first toe joint and no arch. These shoes have all the support I need for comfortable running shoes. I have been running regularly(4-5 days per week) for the past 30yrs and only on trails. I am constantly on the lookout for a supportive trail shoe which has my size. I don't have to look any further for a while. I bought them directly from the manufacturer since I knew my size. I was so pleased with my last pair. Again, they fit perfectly! Keep up the great work La Sportiva and I hope you keep this pair around for a while!

This will be my second pair of La Sportiva hiking shoes. I had to go up one half size in this model. Not sure if that is because my foot is 4 years older and therefore slightly larger or if the shoe itself runs a little small. Other than that, I am finding the shoe to be very comfortable. I plan to use it for multi-day backpacking trip. It seems like it has just the right amount of support, although I should add that I replaced the insole with my favorite PowerStep insole for a little more arch support. I have a narrow heel and a wide, low volume forefoot. I have plenty of toe wiggle room in this shoe without if feeling too large. The sole has a firm feel, which I like. It is not squishy. This is a great lightweight hiking shoe.
