The button came off the 2nd time I wore these. I was working at my desk and wondered where the button came from when I realized it was off my shoe. I wouldn't buy again. I thought the shoe was comfortable but was very disappointed that the button came off so easily. I will take it to get repaired, but it will be my last Cobb Hill purchase.

I like the style a lot, but they have stretched after only a few wearings, particularly the right shoe. I am a standard size 9, but would have ordered an 8.5 had I known. Need to wear really thick socks to be able to wear them at all now.

too narrow

The shoes were in a generic brown box with sticky spider webs on it! No cardboard or paper in the shoes. These shoes must have made the rounds. Yuck.

I have had two pairs of the Cobb Hill Paulette shoes. They are wonderful! The two pairs I purchased previously were 9N and both fit beautifully. The black pair I received yesterday and returned today were marked 9N, but were not narrow. My foot came out of the shoe when I walked.

I have gotten several pairs of these shoes in the past but this time, the right one fit and I couldn't even get my foot in the left one. I checked the tags and they said they were the right size so I think they must have been mislabeled.

The shoes were marked the same size but the left shoe was shorter and more narrow than the right shoe! Returned the shoes.

Cute shoe but I have very wide feet. I ordered a WW but Rockport considers a D as very wide. A WW is an E or EE. I couldn't get my foot into the shoe. I returned the shoes.

Seemed like a good shoe but I returned it because I just realized that I can no longer wear that style shoe. There was nothing wrong with the shoe. It’s my swollen feet that are the problem!!

I ordered them in blue today. I cannot order these in brown because they are coded hazmat. A correction has to be made and could take up to two weeks before I am able to order them.

I love the Cobb Hill Collection. This is my 2nd pair of the Paulette. They are so comfortable right out of the box. I'm returning the navy blue because it is the strangest navy blue I've ever seen. The color looks faded.

These shoes are a rare fit in size 9W; I return most but these fit loosely leaving room for socks, come winter. The toe is high & wide leaving lots of room so toes are not pressed by the shoe & would be good for those with foot pain because of the high & wide room for toes. The shoe slips off my heel but when I start wearing socks in the winter it will be good, my heels have borne this well with no redness & will toughen to it. Inside, the sole, if wearing barefoot, is hot & a bit scratching, my feet are a little sweaty in the shoes but when I start wearing socks in the winter I will find this comforting. I guess no pair of shoes is perfect for all weathers. There is an elastic under the top flap that rubs on the top of my sensitive foot but over a week of wearing the shoes, I feel that discomfort less and less. I would buy these again & recommend them for a person with a wide ball of foot & narrower heel, size 9W is my usual size & these are very roomy. They are not perfect but it's rare that shoes ever are wide enough for my wide foot with narrow heel.

Something terrible has happened to the design of this shoe. These were my go-to work shoes for YEARS. I would get a new pair ~once a year, and they were PERFECT. Then, my latest pair felt like everything was smushed over to the inside of the foot on the bottom, like the toppings on a hot pizza falling to the side during transit when you're not careful to keep the box level. I thought maybe it was just the particular pair I had received were defective, but I tried buying two more, and they had the same problem. I think maybe they redesigned the arch support system or something. I don't know what they did, but I am not ok with it.

I liked the color, the length and width were spot on. However, the shoe gaped at the ankle. Returning. In addition if you need a deep toe box, this isn't it. Overall I'm giving it a 1 star because of the obvious gaping ankle. Too bad! Thanks Zappos for letting us review shoes. It helps us in helping each other in determining whether s shoe might give us a good fit.

I couldn't even get these on. I would not call these a Wide. Back they go.

I bought two pairs. The heel fell out on one on the first wearing, and then the elastic that kept the fit snug lost its elasticity on the other on its third wearing.

I'm wearing these shoes right now and I'm miserable. This is the last day I try to break these in. I've tried one day per week for the last five weeks. Each time I wear these my ankles swell causing the hard leather edges to cut into the sides of my feet. I slip them off under my desk because they also press into the top of my foot.

These were a big disappointment. The shoes came scuffed on one heel and thread frayed mainly on one shoe and lost a button within 20 minutes of wear. Unfortunately I didn't look closely enough at them before I brought back home to NZ so I'm stuck with them.

Bought this shoe mid March 2013. I am now returning it. Why? Because the sole separated from the shoe! Literally, fell apart while wearing it. For the cost I expect better quality. The shoe manufacturer should be made aware as I almost tripped when the sole came lose from the rest of the shoe...I could have been hurt. Beware buyer! Luckily, Zappos is easy to work with.
