I have problems with my back and knees so I needed something very low in the heal and light weight. This fits that criteria very well. My one problem is that it was very small. I wear an 8.5, but had to get a 9.5 in order to not have my toes rub the end of the shoe. I might have been able to go with a 9, but wanted to be sure. I wear a wide with and these worked just fine. Wish they came in some more neutral colors, but I have the blue and they aren't too bad to wear with my jeans.

A very good, lightweight, breathable gym shoe. I use them with socks for my cardio workouts on the elliptical machine, and slip them on without socks for my at-home weights routine and isometric exercises. They're very roomy in the toe box. They are of that minimalist style, so those looking for structure should look elsewhere, but strictly for indoor, not too vigorous workouts, I find these practical and comfortable.

Love these! Great color, super comfortable. Tested these out at a kickboxing class and definitely feel the difference and lighter on my feet. Great for cross-training.

Honestly I liked these shoes a lot, they were just a little too narrow for me. I could feel too much of the sole around my arch area which defeated the "minimus" purpose. Opted for Inov-8s instead.

I really wanted to like these. I mean really. Unfortunately the arch in it is stiff and hits me in an odd place, which is strange because I normally have good luck with Asics in my normal running shoe. I do like how light weight it is. I wear a 12 in women's and it's hard to find good shoes in my size, much less something available in respectable colors. I decided to give these a try in the purple and yellow figuring if it works, it works. Alas a miss on both marks. Sending back.

I need more support! Very comfy toe box but need more of a wedge in the heel. I will use these for house shoes -- expensive ones at that! Don't forget to order up one half size.

Great shoe for working out; in my case, was all-around for CrossFit workouts including Olympic and Strength training. However, the netting by the pinky toe area as well as in the inner heal (also netting) began ripping after a few months - it's a material issue which needs to be addressed by NB.

I really wanted these to work for me. I loved the colors so much. Usually New Balance fit me fine but these did not. I have a narrow foot - this was very wide in the forefoot, causing too much movement of my foot. The heel dug in at the back too. Had to send them back (after trying them with a million pairs of socks hoping I could miraculously make them fit!).

These shoes are overall comfortable. I have a high arch, so these shoes would not be a good walking or running shoe. I have plenty of room in the toe box and I bought the regular width shoe. I wore these to work and part of the heal split. This was the first day wearing them out and I work an office job where I can only get up and walk if I'm relived. I will be returning these.

Runs small. Normally an 8.5 sometimes a 9. Ordered a 9, and toes were rubbing up against tip. Also felt for the price there should be some side support. Felt like a good cushion on the bottom, but not great for lunges in my opinion.

I have owned and loved New Balance minimus shoes in the past. However, this newer style hits higher on the back of my heel, and rubs it. Extended use of this shoe would likely cause a blister on my heel. Unfortunate, as I was looking forward to another awesome NB shoe.

Ouch! I was really hoping I'd love these. I really really wanted to, but after 3 weeks of use for my daily 1-3 mile runs, I've come to the conclusion that I'd be doing some real damage to my feet by running in these. The first week I had no problems, but once I started running longer distances, the muscles around my ankles would start aching really bad during the run, and even worse the following day. I tried resting. Maybe my muscles were just getting accustomed to running a different way? But no, the pain these shoes cause me to run on a track or pavement is too much to continue using them for the purpose I originally purchased them. I read the other reviews before purchasing them, and unfortunately, I'm just one of the few people they don't work for. I'll just stick to wearing them for non-running purposes.

These shoes are great for cross training. I wanted a show that could go from the treadmill or elliptical machine to the free weights to the stretching. After three trips to the gym, I am hooked. I like feeling the ground and believe the profile of this shoe aids in achieving good form and minimizes the risk of injury. Hey Zappos buying team, talk to the people at New Balance. Tell them not everyone wants their whacko color combo's. I have the 'hot pink'/electric blue and it is just horrible to look at. My husband who never says a word negative, commented on the ugly color combination. When I showed him the color choices, he shook his head in disbelief. I will live with the garish color combination for now. But tell the people at New Balance, some of us will look for comparable shoes like these in which offer color choices that include traditional color gym shoes with more white and minimal color.

I heard so many great things from my runner friends about these shoes so I decided to give them a try. The first time I wore them running my ankle swelled and my knees ached so badly! I decided that these would be my new cross fit shoes considering there is not much running involved. I definitely recommend the shoes for cross fit or for gym training. I have gotten so many compliments on the way they look and I'm not sure that outweighs the discomfort experienced while running.

I would agree with others that this shoe does not run large. But it is very weird, especially how it makes your toes look like they are turned inward. This shoe has little support and almost makes you pronate inward as well. I was going to use for Zumba but can't see how it could support my feet at all. They are going back.

Cute design, very light shoe and very breathable material. I was very disappointed in the style though. The top part of the shoe curved in more than a natural shoe curve should be and it created a pigeon toe effect and also made my ankles roll inside so it was very uncomfortable to walk in. The picture doesn't show it, but the curve is weird and a bad design. Returning immediately. Too bad because I love the design and I can't find any other walking shoe for my large 12 wide feet.

Wow, the quality of Nike shoes has gone down big time. This is my 2nd attempt to get a training shoe. The seems are looking bad, sticky stuff coming out the holes ... it really is amazing what they charge for this crappy workmanship. Nike used to be so good.

I have worn New Balance's old Minimus shoes which I always loved. These are way too narrow in the toe box and I have small feet that are not wide. I only wear these to lift weights now as they helped cause a mornton's issue for me.

I have the earlier version of this shoe and loved it. This new version was a major disappointment. It is lighter than the old version which is good. But, the workmanship is terrible. E.g., the tongue wasn't sewn down inside so it bunched up and caused bruising especially at the bunion. The toe box is too narrow and shallow so it is impossible to wear socks and, even without socks, it pressures the toes on the sides and the tops. I returned the new version and will try Nike next.
