These are some of the coolest, quick dry and durable shorts I own. I have seven pairs at this point. Very comfortable with functional pockets

I needed these shorts for a job at a summer camp and they have worked swimmingly!! They're breathable and keep me cool all day long. They are a little thin though so keep that in mind. But overall they're fabulous and I love them. and that's that on that fellow Colombia enthusiasts.

Very comfy, lightweight, love the material. I just wish the pockets were bigger! Why do women's clothes always have tiny pockets??

I actually own 9 pairs of these shorts. I live in Florida and walk the beach several times a week. These shorts are very comfortable, light weight and the waistband gives when bending over to pick up a shell. I also like all the pockets and the fact that they dry quickly if they get wet. The first 3 pairs I bought are now 6 years old and look great! I wish they would add pink and sea foam colors to their list. I will continue to buy more as new colors come out.

The cool is for the temperature comfort & for the style! Cool! I so enjoy these shorts because they are light weight, good colors (4 pair!), fit very well, & the length is the best for me!

They are the perfect shorts! Comfy, pockets for everything, can get wet and not feel heavy. Super durable too - climbing around on rocks. Great for hiking and working in my garden!! I have 4 pairs!!!

I'm not a huge belt lover so I wasn't so sure but it is just fine. These are like Columbia's other hiking pants that I own. They look nice but are functional too. My husband always comments when I have Columbia on about how nice they look on me also! Bonus

I really like sandy water shorts. I’ve had numerous pairs, and have worn them for years. The hold up well, and they have lots of pockets, which makes them very practical to wear at the gym as well as hiking and around town as casual wear.

I love these shorts and have them in so many colors! They are great for trips...take up little room in the suitcase and dry fast!

The Nocturnal color is nice but the stitching is white which was a little strange at first. They still look great on and fit excellently. The added belt is nice since you can use it for more than just the shorts!

I bought these shorts for casual weekend wear. I've discovered they are great for hiking, traveling, and just lounging around the house. I ended up buying several more pairs because I found I was wearing them so often.

I have recently lost over 100 pounds, and have been completely rebuilding my wardrobe from top to bottom. I'm finally comfortable in shorts, so I went on a quest for the perfect ones. Something casual, but not TOO casual. Something comfortable and the right length. Something in multiple colors that I could truly wear with anything. Enter the Sandy River Cargo Short! The elastic waist coupled with a snap/zip closure gives the perfect combination of comfort and style. They aren't sports shorts, but they aren't dress shorts. That perfect middle ground that can be worn with a tee, or a nicer top. The fabric is so light and cool, that they would be great even on the hottest days. The 6" inseam isn't too short or too long, and hits just right. And, if that weren't enough, they also have great pockets, and come with an adjustable belt. I bet they'll even be great for wearing the water, and will dry quickly. Seriously need these in every color, and probably won't wear much else! So glad I found these!!

I rarely write reviews, only when things are excellent or awful. I bought a pair of these shorts years ago to wear on a kayak trip. They are breathable and dry quickly and have pockets. I found myself wearing them when I take walks to hold my phone and keys, when I mow the lawn and want to stay cool, whenever I want to be casual and have pockets! I figured it was high time I bought more in different colors, so here we are! Thank you Columbia for making them.

I went off the size chart and the fit was perfect. The shorts are cool, comfortable, and absolutely the perfect length.

I bought a pair of these shorts at an outlet when I was on a vacation and wanted a quick drying short. I loved them so much I bought one in ever color. They fit great and are super lightweight. The pockets are deep so things don't risk falling out. I highly recommend these shorts!
