The sizes are not consistent - I got 2 12s and one was 2 inches longer than the other!

Overall a good pant. I would prefer more of a high rise fit. I have worn them traveling and hiking.

Awesome pants. Needed for field work in hot and humid Florida. They look really nice and work great on the job. I’m 5’2” and 130lbs and the size is perfect. Size 6

I’m 5’10. Ordered
size 12 regular too short and a little snug. 14 Talk were huge on me.
14 regular, nice fit but a little short. I kept them though as that are really comfortable. I guess I need size 13, 33” leg.
Overall kept them and they are ver comfortable.

Nice pants. I am in my 70's so ordered a size larger than usual; all outdoor gear seems to be sized for people under 30. Size 6 fits well. I am 130 lbs and 5'3". A little long (although I ordered the short), so will be taking the hem up about an inch.

Loved the material and the fit - except for the bottom part of the pant legs. They are really bootcut, and just looked baggy. I got the regular inseam, and they were definitely a bit long on me. I am 5'6". Maybe I should have tried the "short" inseam. I am a size 6, and the size 6 in these fit perfectly up top....it was just the bagginess on the bottom that I didn't like. Ended up going with the Columbia Saturday Trail pant instead, since they were on sale and half the price of the Pranas.

Nice pant. Fit tighter, did not like them enough to keep. Did like the versatility of the pant.

Love these pants! I bought them for hiking, but I will wear them casually as well. Nice slimming fit--a great look with sandals or closed toe sneakers.

I love Halle Pants! I also love that they have multiple inseam lengths so I don't have to hem them (I'm 5'4" and buy the "short" inseam.) The drawcord inside the waistband prevents gapping at the waist. The pockets are more for style than practical use (though the zipper pocket is good for ID, cash, & a card.) Wanted a new color. Didn't like this blue though - it was a muddy blue. Going back to tried and true kakhi.

My quest is for pants that are lightweight and quick-dry for travel; I was especially hoping for something that would be convertible for super-minimalist packing. I ordered Prana, Marmot, and Mountain Hardwear. Along the lines of a previous comparative review that I found helpful, I will paste this same review on each style I purchased.
Prana Halle: i like the idea of the waist drawstring to help take up the gap in the back, but in practice (just from trying on) am not convinced i've figured out how to make that work. as a result, the much vaunted flattering fit does not flatter on me. the thigh zip pocket does fit a passport (US or EU). front pockets too shallow for real use. my calves would presumably get used to having the inside dangling straps ready to roll up to capris, though they are disconcerting at first.
Prana Halle Convertible: basically same pant, but with zip-off legs instead of roll-up. i wish the zip were above the knee rather than below, though i suppose one could roll them up from there. or, wish they didn't seem to flare out at the calf when zipped off. simple to zip on/off (some brands have finicky zippers; possibly relevant that this one's got slightly coarser teeth?), and the facings on both sides of the zipper still lie flat enough to not annoy.
Marmot Lobo's Convertible: i LOVE that these can do long pants + capris + shorts. front pockets are big enough to use! R thigh zip pocket is big enough for my minimalist wallet. rear pockets secure with a a little rectangle of velcro, so they're low-profile with no pocket flap but also there's a bit of raw velcro to guard fine fabrics from. waistband a better fit for me than Prana, with less gap in the back. thigh zipper line does feel noticeable at first when sitting, less when standing. a little tricky to get zipper started to zip legs back on; for me it seems easier when standing. elastic loops a bit tight for the capri buttoning; i expect they relax a little and/or you get used to them. the fabric does rustle a bit when you move, and on me the joints of the zippered facings swish against each other a little when i walk.
Mountain Hardwear Dynama Pant: love the light weight of the fabric, comfortable stretch waistband. the nylon seems prone to static? at least here in the tail end of New England winter. have read other reports that this fabric pills fast and is not durable; hoping to escape that with just casual wear.

Very comfortable pants, and good looking fit at the top. They do start to flare wider below the knee and have a pretty wide opening at the bottom of each leg. I ordered the Tall size (I'm 5'9", 130lbs). Size 8 was roomy comfortable fit, but too long. A more fitted leg would be great extra long, but wide flare and long doesnt look so good and would definitely drag the ground.

Fit is true to size. Nice amount of stretch. Fairly stylish for outdoor wear & nice durability. Fabric seemed a little rough and had a rather unpleasant smell, however both issues were improved with washing and drying with dryer sheet. Overall, quite pleased.

I received these a few days ago and for the most part they are as I expected them to be. I ordered them in black, size 4, length 36. For reference my measurements are: waist 27 inches, hips 37 inches, inseam 34inches. These fit well, but not great. There was some extra room in the legs and especially in the waist, but it did allow me to wear leggings underneath. The waist tie allows for a better fit, so I won't exchange them for a smaller size. The length is an issue and I will have to get them hemmed which is a tad annoying. I'm 5'9 and the sizing seemed to completely ignore women in my height range. Length seemed to go short, average, super tall...ugh, but oh well. Moving on, the material is comfortable, but does seem to create lines on the legs instead of laying flat. It doesn't look bad, just not as good as it could. I'm not sure how well they repell water. I will get a chance to test them in Iceland this Sept and will add to this review if they don't live up to expectations. Overall, not a bad pair of pants.

I love these pants so much! I'm 5'3" with an athletic inverted triangle build. Got these with smallest size, and while they're a bit loose in the hip area, they look amazing (got thistle color) and really balance out my broad shoulders with details like back pockets and bootcut look. I'll probably get another pair in a different color, which I rarely do. Definitely my favorite pants so far!!

I've had these pants for YEARS (I think five total), bought them through a retail outlet and am finally replacing my well-loved pair. I'm 5'9" and 135 lbs and bought a size 4 w/32" inseam in olive green. At the time it was fitted at the butt but roomy in the thighs and a little short, but I figured with hiking boots it wouldn't matter too much. One of the buttons actually fell off on one of the first hiking trips I took them on, and I replaced it with a bigger button, no problems after that. After owning and wearing almost every hiking trip and vacation, the 4-way stretch has permanently increased the size of the pants to the point that I can't keep them up anymore, even cinching and cinching the drawstring. Besides, with the lower rise, the hip belt on my pack pushes the pants down. Pulled up all the way, the waist hits about 2 inches below my belly button but never seemed to stay there. I am going to try ordering a size 2 and see if I can start more snug and let the pants stretching out into my size. What I love about these pants is the durability + breathe-ability combo. They are casual enough that I wear them with a button-down to work sometimes, but just the other day we swam in a lake during a hike and I popped them on over my wet undies and they were dry again in an hour or so. They're also light, so every time I travel they end up in my bag. My favorite hiking pants; I recommend buying in lighter colors for sunny hikes.

The pants fit so well. The front pockets are shallow, I am concerned that items will fall out. The side zippered pocket is great, but the entire pant would be so improved with deeper pockets. The rear patch pockets are fine. I would have liked one with a zipper.

The style and material is fantastic! It is just the sizing. I'm in between the two waist sizes of 10 and 12. Also, the lengths are also a huge difference. Its either a 32 or a 36. I can wear a 34 or 35, so these didn't work for me in the waist or the length. Boohoo! Love the material and comfort.

sizing all over the place but quite large. Size 2 sent in two colors; the coal was a bit large but the khaki with the short inseam was huge. I would order usual size in jeans or size smaller.

Ordered the right size until I started working out... Now they're a wee bit big, but work as my winter time "layering" pants.

Very attractive but the bottom leg opening flares out too much. Awkward.

Liked the ability to pick my own size and color. This was great considering I don't always like the same cut that other women wear. They are too light weight for the winter, but am looking forward to wearing them in the spring. Seeing larger sizes for women has turned me back on to prAna
