The shoes are the most comfortable ballet flats I have worn. The padded footbed is great. The leather is soft and yields on pressure points. That being said, I've worn the shoes only one day, and they already look ten years old. If comfort is your only concern, they are worth the price. I am not sure, however, of their durability. Plus I wish they were available in a wide width.

Very cute shoes. They are a little tight, I am hoping they will lose up with wear.

This is a great shoe but it really rubbed against my skin and caused some serious pain in the back of my ankle. Some shoes needed to be "broken into" but this is pretty painful. I wore it for a full day so I couldn't return although I'm not sure how I will be able to put them back on. Other reviewers didn't have this problem so maybe it's just my narrow fit...? I'm usually 8.5 but narrow like a 7.5/8.

I bought these in three colors, first tan, to make sure of the size, and then navy and black. My only negative comment is about the navy. The color on the toe and sides was a little faded, and in fact the overall color was uneven, especially compared to the other two. Is this supposed to be a "worn" look? I even thought perhaps that they had sent me a used pair, but the lining looked okay. No, I didn't wear them out in the rain. They came looking weird. (Cute linings, btw.) I didn't return them but I kind of wish I had. If it's supposed to look this way, they should say so on the site. Otherwise, size, fit, and style, excellent. But I'd hesitate to order again.

OUCH! It's my first and probably my only day of wearing these. Love the red color and the fit BUT that little piece of leather in the back that sticks up has gotten me two HUGE burst blisters. It just sticks up maybe a quarter of an inch but enough to jab into the back of my heel/calf to really make me miserable. So sorry I bought these. Our house has all hardwood floors so couldn't wear them long to try them out. BIG MISTAKE. And they're so cute. Perfect flats with jeans!

These shoes are generally very comfortable with decent arch support. I wear them without socks so I wish they were a bit more breathable.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The leather is soft and already broken in. The style is very cute and versatile. The shoe itself seemed a bit long and narrow for my feet, but not enough to return them. I think they will break in nicely. They were just what I was looking for. I highly recommend them!

So I ordered these shoes in more than one color, and overall as a shoe I love them. My only problem with them is that the navy pair I received were extremely scuffed, so I sent them back. The second pair I received were also extremely scuffed and have to be returned. I am not sure if I was just unlucky twice, or if the navy scuffs so easily that they could be damaged via packaging. The Taupe Full Grain, however, is lovely. They are really cute, a great color, and very comfortable.

I purchased the light brown- almost taupe color and am happy with it. They appear to go with everything. I would have liked a little more arch support, but it's hard to get in a flat. For the price, I'm very happy with my purchase and I plan to use them for everyday wear.

This is a nice looking, semi-casual ballet flat. I wear it with jeans and a sweater, or dress it up with nice pants and a blouse. I have the noche color, which goes with just about everything in my closet. I have a narrow foot with a high instep, and this shoe fits like a glove. They required a little bit (one day) of breaking in to get the leather really soft, but wearing them around the house with a pair of thin socks did the trick.

I bought these for a trip to France and did a significant amount of walking in them in about 70 F weather. They weren't too bad, but you must, must, must break them in a lot. Walk in them everyday for weeks for a trip like that. If you're buying them for everyday use and not as much walking you won't have as many issues. They weren't breathable and the 7-9 miles I did a day left my feet a bit sore and smelly. Overall a good shoe for a normal day and normal wear.

True to size (8 or 39 for me), and my feet are a little bit wide. Very comfortable, beautifully soft upper. However, I have small feet in proportion to my calves, which is normally not an issue, but these shoes made my feet look really tiny. Did not look good, so back they went.

Hard to find cute shoes in size 11. These are plain, red, but will go with a lot, comfortable right out of the box, great fit. Too soon to find out how they will wear, but happy I ordered 2 pair.

These shoes did solve a lot of problems I've been experiencing in my search for basic flats. They don't squeeze my bunions, they are well cushioned but don't look like old lady shoes (I am 26 but have the feet of an old woman. So it's tough to find comfortable shoes that look halfway decent). They don't gape on the sides because of the elastic edging which I like, I think they flatter my feet. And because of the stretchy, snug fitting edge I was able to get my true size without fear of the leather stretching out and becoming too big - the elastic edge will keep them on. I was also glad to see that the elastic edge didn't go all the way around the back of the heel as is the case with many pairs of flats, I hate those kind because the elastic just digs in to the back of my heel. When I wore them around my living room they felt great, like the most comfortable flats ever. I was so excited. However, sadly in my first two days out and about in them with a decent amount of walking, the back heel tab (which I thought would be so soft and comfortable because it isn't stiff feeling) does rub a lot, causing pain. I even had friction block rubbed on the back of my heel but it still hurt which is disappointing. For 90 bucks I was really hoping for a perfectly comfortable pair of ballet flats, and these are so close! If the heel tab just didn't have a stitched seam on the top of it, I don't think it would have been so irritating. I wish Born would make that slight adjustment. I'm keeping them, because I can't return them now and besides the heel they are super comfortable, but if they don't get better as they break in I won't buy this style again unless it goes down in price.

These shoes are cute and feel like a dream! Literally, some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever tried on! Unfortunately, the outer leather is so soft, that they scuff! I returned them because they seem like the outside would look horrible after one wear. They need to have a more durable outer surface material. Very disappointing because they are perfect otherwise.

I had a pair of these in grey which are some of the most comfortable shoes I own (and I have low arches and metarsalgia). But for some reason, the pair of brown ones I got must have been slightly different because one cut into the back of my ankle. I figured out if i put vaseline on my ankle and on the inside of the shoe where it was cutting, it eventually became comfortable. I was really disappointed at first but it worked out. I use these a lot, super cute.

When I'd finally worn out my Born "Gemma" flats, and found they were discontinued, I chose these as a replacement. They're comfortable enough, and very cute, but they rub at the tops of my toes in a way that the Gemmas never did. I may need a few more days to break them in...definitely not regretting this purchase, but man do I miss those Gemmas!

These fit great and feel great. True to size. Super comfortable. The color is kind of meh, but I did my own added distressing (use a rough nail file!) and now they look way better. My goal was to have them look like Fryes flats without paying triple the price!

The most comfortable ballet flat I've ever tried on. I especially like the extra padding in the back of the heel area. Suitable for work wear.

I got these wanting a black basic flat. I liked that other people said they didn't gap on the sides. They are very comfortable and don't gap at all. I wear a 10 and that's what I got, however I think I would have been fine getting a 9 1/2. I really like the elastic around the top. Just took me a couple of days to wear them in. Good arch support (needed that and wanted that). The only thing I would say is they look worn fast. They looked lived in and I've only had them a month and don't wear them everyday. I'm thinking I need to go get black shoe polish. I would get them again, I have been thinking about the nude color, but just can't justify them right now.

Cramped my big toes and then the band around the top of the shoe cut into the top of my (rather narrow) feet. Wore them around the house and then decided they would not do for a long event. Sorry. Had hoped they would work.

I love the look of these - just not on me. I wear a 8.5 or 9 wide. Despite only having regular width, I decided to try them in 8.5. They were a little snug across the ball of my foot but not uncomfortably so. However, they were at least a full inch too long. It looked as if I was wearing someone else's shoes. Since the toe box was already snug, I don't think going down a size would help. The quality is great and there is a decent amount of cushion for a flat. Great shoe for someone, just not me.

Super comfy, true to size. I have other Born flats. The ribbon/material next to the leather is a few colors off from the leather and it makes it look cheap. I would have fixated on that.

I ordered the Panna Cotta color. It was an attractive speckled gold color. I liked the construction of the shoe. The insole was very cushy and has a cute floral pattern with some arch support. The soles are made of a nice rubber material that seems like it would not slip on slick surfaces. I liked the elasticized edging around the edge of the leather touching the foot. They are cute flats. This would help against chafing, I think. I had high hopes for these shoes. Unfortunately they were too narrow for my toes. I wish Born made these shoes in wide width. I have bunions and bunionettes on both feet and the toe bed was too narrow and shallow for my foot so my bunion protrudes out of the elasticized part and it looked ugly and didn't fit right. I'm pretty sure these would be great, comfortable flats for women with narrow toes and no bunions. For these lucky women, I could picture being able to walk all around town in these shoes in style and comfort.

These are my third pair of Born flats that I've owned and my least favorite - my others took absolutely no time to break in and after several weeks, I still can't wear these a full day where I plan on spending moderate time walking around. These blister and dig into the back of my heel, partially caused by the elastic edging around the opening of the shoe. I want to wear these all day like I can my other Born flats, but I have a feeling it's going to be a while.
